I think so many voted for August, even though hotter in Texas (like the fried Pickles!!) because by now many of us made and paid for advance hotel/airfare, etc. reservations for trips in spring and early summer by now - well, at least I did.
August gives me time to save up for a trip - to Texas! Haven't been there since a teenager!
