Did you like Fox's ``Rinkside View''?

Another game using this view! What a huge mistake. The Fox Officials should be made to watch this view. Then they too will get sick!!!!!! The decision to use this "Rinkside View" needs to be changed. Watching a Kings game in this mode is almost nauseous. I'm not blaming , the people chosen to work the cameras. They are trying their best. The skaters and puck move so much faster than the people using the cameras. Change the view!!!

There have been many crazy ideas from FSN over the years, but rinkside view takes the cake.....no perspective and almost impossible to pick up the puck. Someone in FSN management needs to should be fired!

It was horrible, nauseating. It made it impossible to follow the play or the positioning of the players, what direction players or puck was going. The game became a series of unrelated 1 second low-lights. Worse idea ever with terrible execution.

Horrible as a means of watching live play. Many of the angles made it impossible to see the rest of the ice, so you could not see who was open, where the D was, etc. Also, the cameras couldn't keep up with the action so often the puck would go completely out of frame. Probably nice for replays but awful for live action.

I thought the rinkside view was abysmal. I understand it from a gimmick standpoint, but in terms of actually watching and seeing, it was useless. I hope it is never used again. Also, the added exposure for the auxiliary on- camera personnel is annoying. We have Bob Miller, one of the all-time greats, sacrificing air time so we can have more Patrick and Heidi? I think that is all that needs to be said on that account.

I think this has the possibility to help the NHL grow interest in the sport and make TV a revenue producer. If you continue to do the same thing and expect different results good luck. In all fairness though when I go to games I prefer sitting on the glass. The speed and action is the strength of what hockey has to offer. I thought this telecast captured that better. In watching Center Ice tonight the high view camera captures very little of the zone as they try to zoom in on the action. Hope we see more of this and again I think this is something that should be worked on to capture a larger market and allow a disinterested American market to see what I have come to know is the greatest team sport.

Tuesday night was LAME but views are not a complete loss.
Did Fox do any research by watching other broadcasts through other networks before implementing ??!! You dont have to stay on those angles all day. Move to higher angles once the breakouts are over and teams settle into the the opposite zone.
Mix in other views so we can enjoy the game within the game.

This was HORRIBLE. Don't do it EVER again!

Great on the PP from behind the net and a few other angles, but completely unwatchable for an entire game. Could work mixed in a bit with the regular view, but please please please don't ever have an entire game from these angles. Can't see anything develop.

i was a hate love it... in some places it was awesome for the fight i was they best thing ever..but for normal play i just couldnt catch an eye on the puck!!

I voted that I hated it, but used in certain situations it could be a great tool. Just watching the game at only those angles was tough to deal with. I do think it was a good first showing and if they mixed it up with the normal over head shot it would bring closer to the desired result. I admire the fact that they tried something new and take all this feedback as constructive and move toward creating a better viewing experience for all. :-)

Best game ever broadcast. Last years' rinkside without commentary was similar. If you've never been to a glass seat at a game, you need to. Maybe mix in a few more overhead shots on the transitions, but that's about it.

I liked it a lot, actually. The speed was outrageous, the hits were phenomenal, and the threading of passes through the neutral zone and down low in a cycle were way more impressive. We take for granted just how fast the game moves and how difficult and precise the players' maneuvers are when watching the game from so high and far away. If anything, Fox needs to improve the sound balance so that more ice sounds are audible all the time, not just when they want to zoom in for a replay. We will still hear the announcers just fine.

It's kinda neat, and I enjoy it as one of the views to use during the game. But I really can't stand an entire game like that. The view from up top gives you a much better look at the flow of the game, especially on lateral passes.

I liked the way they did it last year. FSPT was regular coverage and FSW did the ringside. That way you had a choice of being up close and personal or not getting dizzy and sick.

It was terrible. What a waste of an HD telecast.

It was horrible. Too hard to see the action. Terrible.

Long-time, long-suffering Kings fan here in Pasadena. Rinkside View is completely unwatchable and useless. It actually makes the game harder to watch and is a prime example why I'll never buy Kings season tickets in the lower bowl. ABANDON SHIP!
