If the NHL is serious about head injuries has to be a suspension. He raised his shoulder to initiate contact to head of a player that couldn't see it coming.

shoulder to head no doubt. Wilson is chasing looking to make contact when Doumolin unexpectedly hits the breaks. I think it's a penalty but no intent - hard for many to believe since it is Wilson, so I think it should not be a suspension. But league will probably come down hard on Tom.

Ovechkin put his stick to Dumoulin's neck/back of head, as well as Wilson's shoulder/elbow to Dumoulin's head. Intentional assault by both Wilson and Ovechkin. Both of them are overtly dirty players, but yet, nothing ever seems to be called on either of them, let alone suspensions. There does seem to be an agenda by the NHL.

WILL he be suspended? SHOULD he be? Yes. He aimed high and hit him in the head, as a player who was clearly about to be hit and bracing for that hit. He is the dirtiest player in the NHL. I couldn't believe he didn't get a game for that hit in the CBJ series. But that would require the NHL to give a crap about avoidable hits to the head, more than whether someone's feet slid an inch too far on a faceoff.

Tom Wilson is a thug and should be suspended as long as Doumalin is out. The officiating and the review process stunk. It was a goal. By not giving the Pens that goal changed the whole completion of the last ten minutes of the game. I hope the Pens put it to the Caps in Pittsburgh.

There is no question that the hit to the head was intentional and completely avoidable. This will be my last year watching if he does not get suspended. Sick of the NHL and how poorly these games are officiated. It was a clear goal, you could see white between the puck and the goal line. After a while, when these things continue to happen, you start to question the integrity of the league and if there is an agenda from game to game.
