My husband and I married Nov. 15, 2008 at the tender age of 40 (both of us). I never thought I would marry because my focus was a little different; being an only child my parents raised me to be a bit more independent than necessary which made this my adolescent mantra "be who I aspire to be, and make sure that I have those things that are really important to me before I marry anyone”. I always understood this to mean experience life in order bring something to the table to help build a future with my mate. That being said, I followed my parent’s directive and it’s a wrap! So…ya see forty just happened to be the age we were when we married, God drew the blueprint for everything else.
Congrats on getting married at 40! Sounds like that was the perfect age for you!
