How does the Machado signing look from the Padres' perspective?

I sat behind the dugout as a season ticket holder in Baltimore for the last 7 years. I think it was pink bat day and I remember Machado took off his shirt to change his jersey and it smelled like armpit juice in the lower bowl of the stadium.

I am an avid White Sox fan many of the fans are on the ledge!!! He’s a legitimate superstar but only one player- I want no part of Bryce not the same player.

I don’t work for the Padres, so I really can’t answer for them.

It’s a calculated risk as an early augmentation to their expected home grown talent. Machado is rare talent available at an early age. This was a progressive move based upon wanting to win and believing in themselves.

I like the signing, they needed to make a huge splash and they did!!!! Now they need to sign at least ONE PITCHER..

Hosmer deal is WAY to early to be second guessing. 1st yr in the NL

I think this is a very good signing for the padres. I think they already regret the Hosmer deal tho
