This has already been well hashed over and thoroughly resolved. Old news, to say the least. However, it does serve to divert attention from a miserably failing healthcare reform plan. In short, it's a very stupid political move which further jeopardizes our country and the outstanding people working within the intelligence agencies.

On 9/11/2001 I was on my honey moon with my wife in Portugal...I admit we both cried and we were both very scared. Not scared that I wasn't safe in Portugal, but the fact people would do such horrific acts against the United States.
I wanted, even demanded (to myself) that the President Bush take action! Make those that caused or took part in this to never have the opportunity again. In short I wanted payback. I wanted to make sure that no one in the world looks at the U.S. as a target. I'm sure I was not the only one to think this way, and I haven't changed my thinking.
So in 2001 the government did exactly that. The CIA probably did things it would usually never do....but what choices did any of us have?? Act like it was a crime scene and put a couple of people in jail.
We did what we had to do to ensure that the U.S. would be a safe place to live and to prosper.
Cheney is right and President Obama needs to move on and focus on his own issues.

Well it certainly sounds as though the Commie's finally are about to take us over. So just go to sleep America and you'll see what Communism is all about in a few short years.Yep, real change has come to us from all our indoctrinated young college studs.

1) In the past interrogation was an FBI function not a CIA function so this putting things back the way they where not something new. and there is an indication that the CIA is breathing a sigh of relief.
2) When Dick and his pals where pushing through the Patriot Act and a lot of folks objected because of invasion of privacy issues. the standard answer was if you're not doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about. If Dick did nothing wrong he has nothing to worry about. So why is he worried?

Obama is not the one prosecuting, his independent attorney general is. You know something we didnt have under the last administration. Besides, no one, especially the CIA is above the law. If the CIA and/or the administration broke the law they should be prosecuted. The US Govt executed people in WWII for waterboarding our military personnel, so why shouldnt our personnel who waterboarder people be dealt with in a similar manner. We are not a moral nation, in fact I would argue we are exactly the opposite an extremely greedy immoral nation.

Lack of action leads to disasters, (1993, 2001 bombing WTC) it will be a repeat if Mr. President BO continues on going after Americans. The CIA is not America's enemy. Let the CIA do what they are called to do. "Mr. President you're stuck on stupid"

Dick Cheney is absolutely correct our HEAD CZAR OBAMA is attempting to destroy our country from the inside out with his bunch of cronies he has appointed to his administration we need to change the direction we are going in ASAP before it is too late this clown has no conception as to what he should be doing and if we allow it to continue we are the ones that will suffer I hate to think of what this country ill be like at the end of his term. He Obama acts more like a kid with a new toy and failed to read the directions. In 2010 we need to clean house and elect some people that care about our country and not their personal agendas. Why do we need 100 Senators and 435 congress persons one senator would be sufficent and an equal amount of cuts in the house of represenitives just think how many dollars that would save us. Also for you younger people you don't have a clue what your ansestors went through so you can live in freedom and now our own goverment is trying to take that away. It is time for a change but not the one on our Presidents' agenda.

Former Vice-President Cheney is a patriot, President Obama is an incompetent democratic president but a very qualified socialist. Pres. Obama is succumbing to the demands of the extreme left and being influenced by his Attorney General who is a misfit and has no credibility because he sympathized with and helped crooks like Mark Rich avoid prosecution.
There is no comparison in world perception between a country who had done waterboarding to extract information that will save the lives of its citizens and an organization of terrorists who didn't hesitate to mutilate and behead their prisoners.
What the government and its intruments are trying to do is weaken its main international information-gathering agency like what heppened before 9-11 and expose its citizens to more harm in the future. A government that protects the well-being of its enemies more than their own constituents does not deserve the support of the people.

According to my calculations (not a math major) we are 33 years late on a recommendation of one of our founding fathers Thomas Jefferson, that you need a revolution every 200 years. It appears we have created the exact same patrician style government our founding fathers revolted against and my fear is that the American people are not up to the challenge demonstrated in 1776!

If anyone breaks the laws. including the CIA *** no one is above the law*** they should be held accountable for thier actions. This is one of the many reasons that makes the USA the USA. If these actions are overlooked, shall we or overlook the lawbreaker that is breaking the laws in your backyard or neighborhood? What laws should be overlooked? Who gets to make the decisions of which laws to overlook?

Sooo, lets see: A sitting president has to testify in a "sex" case, but a former VP can decide if he should testify in a CIA torture case... yea that makes sense to me.
And everyone here is so sure Obama is sending our country into the hole after 8 months in office, but our country was in such GREAT shape after 8 years of Repubs and Bush... and by the way, our health care system is also the envy of the world, right? God help you if you really get sick, lose a job of a little while. I'd rather trust a gov person as opposed to an insurance employee whose bonus is based on a profit motive to deny me care.

If the so called President Obubu, Pelosi, Reid or any of the crazy left demogods need the CIA for any reason, hopefully, the CIA will not have their best interest in mind. Why are people acting like they are shocked that Obubu lies. He is nothing but a liar and we need that before the election, but it shows how many sheep he could round up. Now they can't believe it. LOL. The only thing about that is we all ALL caught in his hell. Not just the fool's that vote for him. You wanted it you got it TOYOTA.

Any lawyers on this board know if we can sue Obama, Holder and ever other traitor in this Administration for breach of contract with the American people to uphold the Constitution, to serve and to protect the citizens? Each one is failing miserably.
In addition to that, every last CZAR need to be removed-they are not under the purvey of the Congress or the people, they are community organizer's hell bent on the destruction of our liberties andswerable only to the Liar-IN-Chief.

For all you libs out there maybe you should all take a good hard look at the oath of office that each president takes at the time they are sworn in. Pres Bush & Cheney took that oath serious and after 9-11 and all thru their presidency they kept this country safe. The 8th anniversary of 9-11 is soon approaching and just maybe we should all reflect back to that day and where we were when this country was attacked several times that day and all the innocent lives that were lost all in the name of "Allah". Cheney was right when he said that this current administration should be asking the previous administration just exactly what they did in order to continue to keep this country safe so they can follow the same guidelines, because afterall the Bush administration must have done something right for you still have your life to live and that's more then I can say for the victim's of 9-11.

It's incredible that anybody still listens to anything the likes of Cheney, Bill Kristol, and the rest have to say. Cheney has been wrong about EVERYTHING with regards to the "War on Terror" ... we'll be greeted as liberators ... it will be become the great Middle East democracy ... we'll only be there a year ... the war won't be expensive ... torture is effective ... . Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld ... three draft-dodgers leading the country into war. The facts are the facts - they lied, they continue to lie, and children like Chris Wallace let them off with a hug and kiss. What a joke.

After almost 10 months, I still can not believe the American electorate voted this evil man into office. I keep thinking I'm going to wake up like Dorothy in Kansas, only to find out it has all been a bad dream! Somehow I can't help but think that our demise will not come via another 9/11 type attack, but rather from directly inside the White House. Think about it America! Time to flush the toilet and rid Washington of a lot of unnecessary crap. The integrity of the United States Intelligence community has been compromised. Why not just invite the "friendly opposition" to Langley and open the safes for them.
This is precisely what is happening and we won't condone it any longer. Cease and desist Obama and crowd ! The name of the game is patriotism.
