first of all don't show your character by abusing other points of views, considering your leader, moshe the great chooha, once claiming that he will kick both BB and NS is now the one begging in front of every important one in this world so that they can convince NS to forgive him. Latest example is his begging in front of King Abdullah, who supposedly assured him that NS will not take him to the court and his claim that CJ Chaudhary will provide him justice. A man need to be a big beghairat to even ask for such a favor.
There is NO way for Musharraf to come back, and forget about those who been tested already. A leader must have ISLAMIC perspective not only talking. Zardari is famous in curroption, Nawaz Sherif fooled Pakistani KOOM in many fake projects like yellow cab etc. Imran had shown a generous contribution by building Cancer Hospital, Education and sasti roti projets.

national mood and the political trend of the common individual. It is

2,452 casted on line. Pervez Musharraf leads the event by 65% he got
1583 votes as against is closest competitor Imran Khan who scored 15%
and got 374 votes only. Nawaz Sharif friendly opposition leader got 53
votes at 2% while his friendly opponent and President of Pakistan Asif
Zardari could get only 31 votes maintaining only 1% of the opinion
polls. Qazi Hussain Ahmed was able to score 209 votes at 9% and
Abdul Qadeer Khan could receive only 13% with 71 votes. The partner of
all seasons politics Mullana Fazal Ul Rehman is still maintaing his
position on big duck (0%) with only 6 votes whereas Other answer 5%
consisting of 125 votes only. It will be interesting to note that Top

Dr.Haroon Iqbal, please get yourself checked by a good psychiatrist as you seems to be mentally ill. Whatever Musharraf did was 100% right for Pakistan interest but unfortunately his plans were destructed in between by pre planned and CIA funded Lawyers movement and assassination of Benazi Bhutto. Just answer my questions: How many drone attacks happened in Paskitan during Musharraf Era?? and How many drone attacks happened since Musharraf is out of scene? this is not just drones, he rejected US proposal for fortified Embassy in Islamabad and presence of Blakwater in Pakistan but see they are coming now.. so very clearly he was removed by CIA/Pentagon so they could achieve their goals in Paksitan.

Pervez Musharaf should be a President on the basis of his past performance, his vision for education, economy, energy and for poor. He is not from elite class, there is no corruption charges against him, whatever he did ultra constitution it was in the interest of Pakistan. He supported USA in war on terror to a certain extent, beyond that he refused. That's why he was forced to resign by hatching conspiracy. Otherwise he was never removed from the scene. Whatever present democractic government is doing for USA is beyond imagination. He is more democratic than champions of democracy. He gave free media, hold all elections i.e. twice National Assemblies, Provincial Assemblies, Senate and Local Bodies in time, even the first election despite the facts that Indian army was on the borders. He allowed Nawaz Sharif and his family to live in Jeddah on his request through Saudi Kingdom, he allowed Nawaz and Sehbaz to leave for USA and UK for treatment on their request and lastly for his son's treatment in UK. As far as PPP leadership i.e. Benazir and Asif Zardari are concern they were self exiled. Mushraf never played any role for their exile and when they approached him, he facilitate not only them, but all political activists and leaders including Nawaz and family by issuing NRO so that they may come back Pakistan and play their role in the politics in good gesture meeting the demands of politicians that the leadership of main steam parties should be allowed to come back and participate in politics, for the sake of political stability. This was the responsibility of people of Pakistan that they should not vote to the candidates whose past is not clear and are corrupt and criminal and this is what the democracy demands.

This was a man who had faced bullets for his country but has been humiliated more than the servants in our kitchens. Simply because he chose to perpetuate his rule when he should have cleaned up the entire political system and groomed to a new breed of civilian leadership to replace the old corrupt politicians, just like the Bengalis and Thais have done recently. Musharraf was the best of the worst lot, the developmental projects and the successes that he outlined at his last address outshine any of the ‘good things’ our incumbent leaders have ever done.

Time has come Musharraf has to form a Political Party of educated middle class professionals. We as “intellectuals, educators (I am Business Prof & Chairman of Deptt), professionals, lawyers, and entrepreneurs” have to take charge. These looters and their families only survived in politics because we never took part or we always accepted # 3 to #10 position. Position # 1 & 2 stayed in the family. Mushy is the best candidate. Ziad Hamid could be Strategic Analyst and Imran Khan could be the PM.
What Mushy was doing really pissed America because he wasn't letting them in. Now zardari, backed by the chotya Nawaz Shareef are getting Americans to play freely insode Pakistan where they are setting up the biggest US embassy in the world. Indian high commission has been given an extension as well.
What Mushy did was the need of time. Otherwise, we would have been bombed to stone age just as Iraq and Lebanon. Why can't we understand this thing.

I just voted for general moshe dayan. I guess he is better at least than our moshe the great (chooha), who never ran away like a mouse. If moshe is so popular, why can't he come back and face courts. I am a critical Musharraf supporter too. Yes he did make mistakes and so did ALL of the previous or current rulers and so will all the future ones. The audacity with which my country men speak here against Musharraf is also due to Musharraf’s grant to a more liberal media. This very :free” media who was allowed by a “Dictator” has at times factually revealed and many a times made up/hyped up stories about the the Musharraf government.

5. 2006: The government is all set to establish an ‘Oil city‘ with an investment of $40 billion at Gwadar Port to make it the biggest crude and refined oil storage base in the region. The government has allotted 12,500 acres of land in Gwadar. The Chinese Petroleum Chamber would come up with $12.5 billion investment plan for the project.
6. Kuwait will establish an Oil refinery at Port Qasim, 50 km southeast of Karachi, at expected cost of $1.2 billion. Refinery would have the capacity to refine 100,000 barrels of oil a day.
7. The Canadian conglomerate Cathy Oil and Gas signed a memorandum of understanding in late 2006 to invest $5 billion in oil and gas exploration, development, production and commercialization in Pakistan.
8. Canadian Oil & Gas Company signed with Pakistan a $ 200 million project that would generate 50,000 direct jobs in Sindh. It will explore, develop, produce and commercialize of Coal Bed Methane (CBM) in Pakistan up-to 70,000 barrels a day for about 20 years.
9. July 2006: The Government awarded three blocks in the country’s offshore Indus Delta to British Petroleum Pakistan. BP Pakistan (formerly known as Union Texas Pakistan) will Explore gas blocks U, V and W, covering an area of 21,000 square km, for oil and gas reserves.
10. Dubai’s Foreign investment in Pakistan’s capital markets recorded significant growth in 2006 and more than doubled to Dh1.278 billion ($351.5 million) by June 30 this year. It stood at Dh554.9 million last year.
11. The KESC has awarded the contract for Phase-I of the 220 MW Power plant to METKA, EPC contractor, a Greek Company of international repute, whereas Phase-II for 565 MW is under process, it is reliably learnt. The EPC cost of the project is around $186 million including approximately 11 million dollars for chiller equipment.
12. Sept 26: Am Power Company, a Kuwait-based company, intends to build 225MW combined cycle Power project located at the Sundar Industrial Estate at an estimated cost of $200 million.
13. The Credit of building the Chashma-2 goes to Musharraf Government. PM Shaukat Aziz launched work on the Billion Dollars 325-megawatt plant in Chashma, which is the second to be built at the site with Chinese help. Chashma-2 cost is around Rs 51 billion which also included Rs20.1 billion foreign exchange component.
14. In the much-awaited, but positive development, WAPDA has finalised a Chinese consortium China Gezhouba (group) Co Ltd China and CMEC, China (CGGC-CMEC) for construction of strategically most important project of 969 MW Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower.

I live in US and love Musharraf for many reasons.
Besides being a a patriotic ,bold and intelligent smart Pakistani son ,he also has several personal qualities. He is an obedient son and takes care of his elderly mother. He is a great father who polished his children and made them self reliant. There is hardly any day when I sleep without t read news about him.
I am currently visiting Pakistan and absolutely disappointed by some famous media groups here in Pakistan who are so biased particularly ” jang” Group ,
Musharraf went to SA and received unprecedented honor with the king . Jang has a very small subheadiung reagrding his visit on Sep 1 and and a big heading on Sept 3 that his trip failed
The dawn group ,which is well known independent group had a front page news about his unprecedented welcome and next day also a front page news that Musharraf ids upbeated by the trip.

1. Do you Support what Musharraf did at Lal Masjid?
Response: If whatever happened at Red Mosque was wrong than whatever action present government is taking in Swat is wrong
If Swat is right now then Red Mosque was right as well.
2. The most asked question: Do you support a dictator?
The response:
a. Musharraf was never a dictator. Musharraf gave us freedom of expression and civil liberties.
b. We would never support military rule but during Musharraf’s reign, it was not military rule.

Musharraf might be in uniform when he took the office but in past eight years he has transformed and emerged as a mature politician. Despite the manner in which both Nawaz and Zardari won votes, there is every likelihood that people still like to see Musharraf back into power. Today this poll proved that moderate and literate Pakistanis want Musharraf back in power.

Do have the master traitor Mush as president if you want your beauties to be lesbians like dick's daughter and popularize homosexuality and free sex in Pakistan as prevalent in the USA. What we are now reaping in terms of high prices and terrorism are some of the gifts of Mush and his cronies. Actually two acts of Musharraf are more benefit to Pakistan than all the developments of the last 60 years put together.
1. Freedom of media, which even media do not acknowledge (we are such as ignorant nation that media people who have now got lucrative opportunities due to Musharraf do not realize this). Media will eventually educate the people to be able to identify who is good for them. Current governments (feudal elite) are stuck with this and can’t reverse it.
2. Local Government System. This is empowerment of the people i.e. our empowerment. Unfortunately again our masses and even intellectual do not understand that there is no democracy without LGS. Our democratically elected leaders (feudal elite) has reversed it, but I am sure people will rise against this, because after couple of years people will realise the benefits.

I still consider General Musharraf as President of Pakistan! President Musharraf is our living hero. I knew this nation doesn’t deserve a leader like him. None of the persons mentioned above for various reasons. Imran Khan could have been my choice but I have heard that he has an aristocratic and/or arrogant way of dealing with persons in his own party and good persons like Nazim Haji have left the party because of such attitude. So if he becomes the President all of us may be treated in the same way as he is too much of I, me and myself ( we cannot forget his famous comment in 1992 ' I have won the World Cup" )
Aitzaz Ahsan may be a good leader - well educated, sophisticated, intelligent, experienced in running a government ( he was a minister previously), and no known corruption charges.

Ppl do favoritism a lot and they don't care who is right and wrong in support of their favorite person. When Jammat accepted the LFO on musharaf all the ppl who hated Jamaat started disgracing jamaat for why they accepted the LFO, but the pro-Musharaf ppl never recognize that in favor of Jamaat. On the other hand if jamaat had'nt accepted the LFO the same ppl who hate Jamaat would had created the issue saying why Jamaat does not understand the problem and accept the lfo, why they just want to do dherna and strikes. U know these ppl just want to fight and never want to agree on anything. PPL still talk about why jamaat accepted lfo while Jmaat had no choice, what could have they done besides strike and dhurna and ppl wouldn't have liked that either. Guys please think who will be a better president. At least look at the time of namatUllah, did he try to shut down the western business in karachi. Why r u guys keep saying that jamaat will start a war.

Pervez Musharaf should be a President on the basis of his past performance, his vision for education, economy, energy and for poor. He is not from elite class, there is no corruption charges against him, whatever he did ultra constitution it was in the interest of Pakistan. He supported USA in war on terror to a certain extent, beyond that he refused. That's why he was forced to resign by hatching conspiracy. Otherwise he was never removed from the scene. Whatever present democractic government is doing for USA is beyond imagination. He is more democratic than champions of democracy. He gave free media, hold all elections i.e. twice National Assemblies, Provincial Assemblies, Senate and Local Bodies in time, even the first election despite the facts that Indian army was on the borders. He allowed Nawaz Sharif and his family to live in Jeddah on his request through Saudi Kingdom, he allowed Nawaz and Sehbaz to leave for USA and UK for treatment on their request and lastly for his son's treatment in UK. As far as PPP leadership i.e. Benazir and Asif Zardari are concern they were self exiled. Mushraf never played any role for their exile and when they approached him, he facilitate not only them, but all political activists and leaders including Nawaz and family by issuing NRO so that they may come back Pakistan and play their role in the politics in good gesture meeting the demands of politicians that the leadership of main steam parties should be allowed to come back and participate in politics, for the sake of political stability. This was the responsibility of people of Pakistan that they should not vote to the candidates whose past is not clear and are corrupt and criminal and this is what the democracy demands.

I am a critical Musharraf supporter too. Yes he did make mistakes and so did ALL of the previous or current rulers and so will all the future ones. The audacity with which my country men speak here against Musharraf is also due to Musharraf’s grant to a more liberal media. The refinery, which will be Pakistan’s biggest, have the capacity to process 300,000 barrels of oil a day.
5. 2006: The government is all set to establish an ‘Oil city‘ with an investment of $40 billion at Gwadar Port to make it the biggest crude and refined oil storage base in the region. The government has allotted 12,500 acres of land in Gwadar. The Chinese Petroleum Chamber would come up with $12.5 billion investment plan for the project.
6. Kuwait will establish an Oil refinery at Port Qasim, 50 km southeast of Karachi, at expected cost of $1.2 billion. Refinery would have the capacity to refine 100,000 barrels of oil a day.
7. The Canadian conglomerate Cathy Oil and Gas signed a memorandum of understanding in late 2006 to invest $5 billion in oil and gas exploration, development, production and commercialization in Pakistan.
8. Canadian Oil & Gas Company signed with Pakistan a $ 200 million project that would generate 50,000 direct jobs in Sindh. It will explore, develop, produce and commercialize of Coal Bed Methane (CBM) in Pakistan up-to 70,000 barrels a day for about 20 years.
9. July 2006: The Government awarded three blocks in the country’s offshore Indus Delta to British Petroleum Pakistan. BP Pakistan (formerly known as Union Texas Pakistan) will Explore gas blocks U, V and W, covering an area of 21,000 square km, for oil and gas reserves.
10. Dubai’s Foreign investment in Pakistan’s capital markets recorded significant growth in 2006 and more than doubled to Dh1.278 billion ($351.5 million) by June 30 this year. It stood at Dh554.9 million last year.
11. The KESC has awarded the contract for Phase-I of the 220 MW Power plant to METKA, EPC contractor, a Greek Company of international repute, whereas Phase-II for 565 MW is under process, it is reliably learnt. The EPC cost of the project is around $186 million including approximately 11 million dollars for chiller equipment.
12. Sept 26: Am Power Company, a Kuwait-based company, intends to build 225MW combined cycle Power project located at the Sundar Industrial Estate at an estimated cost of $200 million.
13. The Credit of building the Chashma-2 goes to Musharraf Government. PM Shaukat Aziz launched work on the Billion Dollars 325-megawatt plant in Chashma, which is the second to be built at the site with Chinese help. Chashma-2 cost is around Rs 51 billion which also included Rs20.1 billion foreign exchange component.
14. In the much-awaited, but positive development, WAPDA has finalised a Chinese consortium China Gezhouba (group) Co Ltd China and CMEC, China (CGGC-CMEC) for construction of strategically most important project of 969 MW Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower.

I live in US and love Musharraf for many reasons.
Besides being a a patriotic ,bold and intelligent smart Pakistani son ,he also has several personal qualities. He is an obedient son and takes care of his elderly mother. He is a great father who polished his children and made them self reliant. There is hardly any day when I sleep without t read news about him.
I am currently visiting Pakistan and absolutely disappointed by some famous media groups here in Pakistan who are so biased particularly ” jang” Group ,
Musharraf went to SA and received unprecedented honor with the king . Jang has a very small subheadiung reagrding his visit on Sep 1 and and a big heading on Sept 3 that his trip failed
The dawn group ,which is well known independent group had a front page news about his unprecedented welcome and next day also a front page news that Musharraf ids upbeated by the trip.
I am sure Musharraf will be back and I plan to come personally from US to join his welcome Long live Musharraf. Sub se pahle Pakistan .

I really hated Musharraf when I was too inspired by Hamid Mir and others but after sometime I realize that all the actions Musharraf took were correct and in national interest and whoever accusing him now are just following personal agenda and jealousy .. even now he does not bad mouthing like others are doing and this shows the character of this man..

a. Musharraf was never a dictator. Musharraf gave us freedom of expression and civil liberties.
b. We would never support military rule but during Musharraf’s reign, it was not military rule.
Musharraf might be in uniform when he took the office but in past eight years he has transformed and emerged as a mature politician. Despite the manner in which both Nawaz and Zardari won votes, there is every likelihood that people still like to see Musharraf back into power. Today this poll proved that moderate and literate Pakistanis want Musharraf back in power.

Actually two acts of Musharraf are more benefit to Pakistan than all the developments of the last 60 years put together.
1. Freedom of media, which even media do not acknowledge (we are such as ignorant nation that media people who have now got lucrative opportunities due to Musharraf do not realize this). Media will eventually educate the people to be able to identify who is good for them. Current governments (feudal elite) are stuck with this and can’t reverse it.
2. Local Government System. This is empowerment of the people i.e. our empowerment. Unfortunately again our masses and even intellectual do not understand that there is no democracy without LGS. Our democratically elected leaders (feudal elite) has reversed it, but I am sure people will rise against this, because after couple of years people will realise the benefits.

I still consider General Musharraf as President of Pakistan! President Musharraf is our living hero. I knew this nation doesn’t deserve a leader like him. I always told my siblings & friends that this nation is going to do something very stupid, mean, & bad to this hero because this is the nature of this pathetic nation!
None of the persons mentioned above for various reasons. Imran Khan could have been my choice but I have heard that he has an aristocratic and/or arrogant way of dealing with persons in his own party and good persons like Nazim Haji have left the party because of such attitude. So if he becomes the President all of us may be treated in the same way as he is too much of I, me and myself ( we cannot forget his famous comment in 1992 ' I have won the World Cup" )
Aitzaz Ahsan may be a good leader - well educated, sophisticated, intelligent, experienced in running a government ( he was a minister previously), and no known corruption charges.
Ppl do favoritism a lot and they don't care who is right and wrong in support of their favorite person. When Jammat accepted the LFO on musharaf all the ppl who hated Jamaat started disgracing jamaat for why they accepted the LFO, but the pro-Musharaf ppl never recognize that in favor of Jamaat. On the other hand if jamaat had'nt accepted the LFO the same ppl who hate Jamaat would had created the issue saying why Jamaat does not understand the problem and accept the lfo, why they just want to do dherna and strikes. U know these ppl just want to fight and never want to agree on anything. PPL still talk about why jamaat accepted lfo while Jmaat had no choice, what could have they done besides strike and dhurna and ppl wouldn't have liked that either. Guys please think who will be a better president. At least look at the time of namatUllah, did he try to shut down the western business in karachi. Why r u guys keep saying that jamaat will start a war.
