and it is a foregone conclusion.
One of two bands,
either Destination OR Digital Earth will certainly have the largest number of votes (barring a total bloody mmiracle for another band)
However as you may or may not know we are going to try to get both bands into the charts. (see important note at the end)
It is only fitting, considering how close it has been all week (and still is).
There have been a couple of negative comments to this but most are supportive.
Nobody has wasted their time voting and it has all been worth it so far. But it will all have been a waste of time if people desert us, now that it is time to buy the winning single.
We are asking people to spend £1.60 instead of 79p.
I for one will be spending a lot more as there are quite a few bands I thought deserved to win as well.
One more thing PLEASE NOTE VERY IMPORTANT.
We are going to take an extra week to build up media interest before plunging into buying the singles so buying commences on Sunday 28th Feb for entry into the Sunday 7th March chart.
Please do not buy the singles too early.

I knew there would be complaints.
Its not pointless, this whole thing was started to get more attention for unsigned bands.
Job done.
I have had to make all sorts of changes over the weeks starting with brining the whole timescale forward because the group grew far faster than I could ever have imagined.
I always kept open the possibility that we would try to get more than one band into the charts, which Jon you would have known if you had read my frequent posts in the group
I have said countless times that I would rather get two bands to the top 40 than one band to the top 30. (Or indeed five bands to the top 40 not 1 band to number 1)
Nobody expected the two leading bands to be so close for so long and it makes complete sense to make a more ambitious assault on the charts.
But I appreciate negative comments from people such as yourself because it just gets genuine group members all riled up and makes them want to suceed all the more.
If there are three bands next tiem getting nearly 1,000 votes each then yeah I will bloody well put ALL of them in the charts, why on earth would you think that two or three is not betterthan 1?
According to DittoMusic.com the bands only need 4000 sales on average to get into the top 40. Surely we can get both bands in or higher. I think its time to put your money where your mouth is and do as promised. roll on 28th Feb. PS hope someone has a link on how to buy these as i have never bothered before.
I don't think the interest that this has generated can be called pointless. The whole aim is to get an unsigned band into the charts if 2 get in thats even better. if no one buy's the tracks then it will have been pointless and the whole point of this Facebook group is to buy the tracks so lets get behind both bands and make it happen. XXX

Well that was all pointless??!!! Bands can just decide amongst themselves whose gonna win? Sheesh. I was under the (apparently) mistaken impression this was a attempt to get a unsigned *band* in the charts - not bands. What if there is a 3 way tie next time? Are they all gonna decide they are all gonna win as well? What an ill thought out precedent to set. Oh whats the point - no one is gonna buy the tracks anyway.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT (from organiser)
Now we have all greed that both bands have earned the chance to go for the top 40, and we feel that there is actually more chance of both bands succeeding than one. For that reason we are going to take 1 week after voting ends tomorrow and do a massive PR push to achieve that result. I will be trying to regroup the group and get more interviews and..I hope I can count on the loyal group members to reinivte all their friends to the final push
