Cherly once again watching your performance you entered brought tears to my eyes. I remember listening to you sing all the time when we were cheerleaders and you brought chills to me and always made me cry and you still are doing it. I believe you sing from your heart and with your soul and how can everyone not see that in you. You go and represent girl not just for us here in Ctown but for God, who gave you that gift and for all us single mothers, and for the Falcons. You are approved by the Almighty God! Isn't that awesome? You are created in His image and you are the apple of His eye. God is always giving us opportunities to move forward in life. It is God's desire that you grow and reach your full potential. Anytime you take a step forward, the enemy will try to bring opposition and adversity against you. Paul said in 1 Cor 16:9, " A wide door has been opened to me and with it are many adversaries," God promises that through Him you can overcome any opposition the enemy bring your way. Although all contestants are good. Unfortunately, I can't consider the contestants who've "home" videotaped their performance b/c they may get cold feet when it comes to performing in front of a big audience. Having said that, I think Cheryl Lane is, by far, the best person for the job... amongst ALL contestants.

It would be an honor to have a veteran get a chance to sing the National Anthem. He definitely has an inside view of the what the words to the heartful song means after having served in the military for over 20 years in the US and assignments overseas. Some people may be singing for the glory...he's singing for the honor! Hope you win---Good luck Carlos Morgan!

Based on most of the comments, this seems more like a popularity contest. I read each individuals answers to the questions they were asked prior to listening to their performance of The National Anthem. While listening to the performances, I was not impressesd with a few based on how each one presented themselves with the answers they gave not fitting how they truly performed. Too many people try to put a different spin on songs hoping it will make them stand out from everyone else. You can do that with some songs; however, this is the United States of America's National Anthem. The National Anthem is not a song that people should try to make their own. It's America's National Anthem and it deserves to be performed as it was written. It's disheartening when people don't even know all the words to the song and then try to make it sound like it's a new song that just hit the charts. I will say everyone had a decent voice; unfortunately for me, you don't take our country's National Anthem and change it around. The song is beautiful exactly as it was written and meant to sound. Congratulations to everyone who made it this far and whomever should win, I hope you perform the song in it's original and traditional sound for our country.
