i am a white 70 yr old atomic bomb veteran born 9/11/1937. i was drafted out of highschool in 1956 when castro shut off our water in gitmo. when i was discharged from the navy i was hired by ibm in san jose, ca. in a few years i was promoted to mgr of my department. not long after that ibm issued an equal rights policy that stated we restrict our hiring to women, blacks and hispanic. i have tolerated the downfall of this country ever sinse.

This is what Jesus did. It wasn't enough for Jesus to be a great moral teacher and do what was right. He had to MAKE it right through his death and resurrection. Please, I hope you pray on this. Remember what Jesus instructed us about false prophets. Overall, does Obama pass the test of the fruits of his deeds or is he just the same old wolf in a finer sheep's clothing?

I guess this is the bomb that we heard Hillary's people would be dropping right before the PA election day. I'll never vote for her - don't want her running our country either! We need a do over for both sides. From the three that's running, we still will be a country in disarray. The qualified people who could be president didn't have enough money to stay in the race.

OBAMA Needs to drop out, the superdelegates need to come together for the people like me that voted for this fonny so he does not get into the White House. Everybody is entitled to their views,but when this type of message is preached in the pulpit it is even more powerful. It is not just the country we have to think about, but me as a grand-mother and out of concern for all our black children, we have to worry about what type of influence this type of message is sending to them. I think even more hurtful is that is became personal against certain people. Even though some of us might not attend church regularly we can ask someone what the sermon was about and most sermons are taped now days.

Anchors reporting while smirking on CNN, ABC, CBS, etc. Actually making fun of the destruction of a national monument!!!! The (much hated now for all their "wrongs") Bush administration tried their best to be forgiving and go on with the business at hand. Funny how things are forgotten by the left wing media (But if you, my dear want to speak of bias, then you are certainly barking up the wrong tree.)
I have watched Fox News for years and they are for the most part, one of the most fair and balanced networks out there. ....if not the ONLY one. They have, and will continue to rattle any and all with skeletons in the closet and bring those skeletons to light.
You have (not the right) but the privilege in our great country of expressing your opinion openly and freely, without fear of death or dismemberment. But please, make sure when you state that as fact, try to get your facts right. People read, and by that very act, they often believe it to be the whole truth.

After hearing excerpts of sermons, i did not hear racism, only what had happened was truth and opinions of the Rev. Wright. Majority of people only go to church, Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, and New Year's Eve. Other than that, people have been falling away from church. I saw Sen. Barack & Michelle Obama at the World Redemption Church in Greenville, S. C., Pastor Ron Carpenter, Jr. So you see, people travel to different churches. they don't alway go to their church.
For an African American to accomplish anything in American, they have to work 3x harder, suffer 10x longer, tred on eggshells, walk softly, denounce & reject (they had Jesse Jackson denounce Min. Farrakhan when he ran for President). If you try to express yourself, you are insubordinate, if your voice rise a little, you are arguing, a pastor preaches a sermon, you are blamed for it. Come on people, you are very biased. All the hangings, lynchings, injustices white people have done to blacks and still doing, you act like black people is the enemy. Come on people, the majority of church pastors speak out but not the parishioners. What gives, YOU said, SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE!! Sen. Obama cannot take the heat for what the pastor said. Someoone put the news out there to try to destroy Sen. Obama, but it WILL NOT WORK. GOD IS IN THIS!!! God was in the 2000 Election also, people could't understand what was going on. Now I can understand why black Americans still feel there is so much racism in America. Possibly they are getting preached to about it everytime they go to church. I would hope that not all black ministers are like Rev Wright but who knows? God help us all if this is what black Americans are hearing every Sunday! Obama's success (up to this point anyway) running in the primary elections has shown America to be extremely NON-RACIST! Yes, he has had an overwhelming majority of the black vote but a large percentage of the white vote also is what has helped him win so many states. Personally, I was always for Hillary but thought Obama was "okay" but just not ready to be President. I didn't like his speeches about "bringing us all together" and about NOTHING ELSE. It takes a heck of alot more than bringing people together (where?... the local ball field.. the lawn of the White House... Obama's CHURCH...) to be President of the U.S. and probably the most powerful man in the entire world. But now I am totallly turned off by him and will pray that he does not possibly win the primarY election. HOW COULD HE THINK WE ARE SO DUMB THAT WE WOULD BELIEVE THAT HE HAS ATTENDED THIS CHURCH FOR 20 YEARS AND DID NOT KNOW HOW RACIST HIS PREACHER WAS OR THAT HE DID NOT HEAR ANY OF THE RACIST THINGS HE HAD SAID???? OH no my brother #1141, you actually have a good point. I did, out of context,use the pesonal forgiveness Christ provides....forgive me. You are however incorrect in thinking I am excusing bad behavior or morals. If Mr. Obama hadn't distances himself from Mr. Wrights remarks, I would have a major problem. It appears to me the Mr. Obama actually is an honest man. Everytime a supporter says something stupid, he distances himself from them. We don't necessarily see the same reaction in the other candidates. Also, I don't see him hiding his beliefs. He prays before each debate with a group of prayer warriors. I will say this though, I truly believe that as it is stated, there is nothing hid that shall not be revealed, we shall all see the truth.

I think that even with this asociation Obama still offers better solutions and can bridge the gap between parties. It's hard in America if you are black and go to trditional black churches to escape the kind of rhetoric that pastor Wright demonstrates because the black experience is so different from the white experience. The funny thing is that outside of the U.S., most people who are white probably agree with what Pastor Wright preaches!

I watched the interview with Senator McCain last night and he was all smiles and he never mention about his own pastor incendiary and inflammatory comments. I do not agree at all with this Rev. Wright views and what he stands for. I am an intelligent woman and I believe we can not hold Senator Obama for and old man's angry past and a totally different experience in live than he had. It is easy to see why our country has huge problems, when there are revs. teaching hate like Wright. OBAKORAMA! This is my new phrase for the Obama campaign. My mind was open regarding this election...regargless of party. What specifically are the changes that B.O. is proposing and how does he propose to initiate them? Obama never really answers questions without 'side-tracking' the question and issues. Even with this question of his relationship with his minister and church which is obviously anti-white, anti-American his answers avoid his real associations. What does Obama really stand for? If this is his idea of "uniting America' what does that mean? I don't trust this guy. He's black and now it is evident that there are certain questions that we are not allowed to ask because he is black. Remember, America that this country is made up of more than blacks and whites. We are a country that is made up of Blacks, Whites, Browns, Yellows, Reds, etc. Politics should be color-blind and if we are not totally hippocritical then all of us should be this way. As an Illinois resident, I can attest that BHO was a waste of space in the Illinois House of Representatives, as well as a so-called US Senator. The Democrats of Cook Co., IL (where Chicago is located) overrode the votes of the other 109 IL counties to put BHO into the US Senate. Had Cook Co. been excluded from the election vote tallies, BHO would not have had a snowballs' chance in Hell of being elected dogcatcher of anywhere. But, as everyone knows, the Democrates of Cook Co. makes the equation look like this: Cook Co. > 109 IL Counties. Brought to you by the Dems and the Daley Machine. (I digress) As an alledged Senator, he has spent most of his Senate term travelling to Kenya and campaigning all over the country for his own self aggrandizement, just like Kerry in '04. In all this time in public office, he has only accomplished getting a massive pay-raise for his wife, Michelle, from $130,000.00 to $315,000.00, he sneaked an 'earmark' into legistlation. This is more than the President earns!! BTW, she's rarely at work, as she is always on the campaign trail with BHO! His only other accomplishment, was the attempt to break the record of "Present" votes ever cast in the IL House. Yes, Wright's words are a slap in the face. Turn the other cheek, and think about what is being said.
First, the same four speeches about two basic themes (9/11 and Hillary Clinton) are being looped over and over again. This is a man with a 30 year career. If the rest of his speeches don't have this same sort of rhetoric, then the main stream media hasn't uncovered a trend but a few isolated instances.
Second, in the speeches I've seen all of on YouTube (and I haven't watched all of them) Rev. Wright doesn't say anything factually or scripturally wrong. You have to watch more than the same 15 second clips to realize that, though. You have to think, and that is something the TV is not good at encouraging people to do. THINK before you condemn. Remember that Christ asks you to understand and empathize with and love your neighbor.

Don in 1115 is missing the trees for the forest with his lecture on Christian forgiveness. This issue isn't about personal forgiveness for which Jesus taught. In fact Obama never asked for any forgiveness, since he claimed he had no knowledge of the facts. How can you forgive someone who hasn't asked for forgiveness? We are talking about is putting to task a man who will possibly be the most powerful person on the planet. Jesus also said, To those that much has been given, much more shall be expected! It seems that people mis-use the lessons Jesus taught to conveniently excuse terrible behaviors when it suits them. It is true that he said "he without sin cast the first stone" however the part that people most often leave out is when he commands us to "go now and sin no more!" (Or at least try) This is what we mean by integrity. That is the ability to integrate ethics and morality into every facet of your life and not compartmentalize. Obama has neatly tucked away his belief system, and it cannot be explained away easily. Better this was vetted now before he's president and appoints Wright secretary of hate.

I agree with Debra, this pastor is a sick individual and watching made me gasp!!! Not only him but the congregation cheering his awful words in the pulpit. How could you speak about Pres Clinton 'ridin dirty'. The bible says that we should pray for each other as well as those in leadership and authority. He should not have been making those remarks, in mixed company, let alone in a house of the Lord. He is an older African American gentleman who has obviously been hurt by time and experience and took every opportunity given to him to express his thoughts to those who would listen. He just did it at the wrong time and too many times. At least with White America, no matter how racially biased, they will keep it amongst themselves and off camera so there's no record of it. It's there, it's just hidden until a more opportune time. It's no coincidence that he is resigning, it's with good reason, he's obviously senile!!! I will, and I hope you all will, pray for them both; Pastor Wright that he does not lose what's left of his mind, and Obama, that he does not lose stride in this race.

He’s pulled the wool over so many starry eyes, he truly believes we’re all stupid sheep. Let’s get the records of BHO’s collection plate donations and find out the dates of some of those ugly sermons. This is not over, Sure, we're not perfect in the USA, but travel to other countries and you want to come home and kiss the ground in thanks for all we do have here in the USA, whatever your race, etc. Michelle O's comments make perfect sense now. BHO's reluctance to pledge to the American flag (I read people of that church only pledge the African flag) or wear a flag lapel pin, also understandable now. I never believed his high-flyin' rhetoric and now I know where he learned it - in church! His great memorized inspirational speeches were mostly the same talk over and over to the crowds, but put him in a debate or in front of reporters asking questions and he totally bombs – halting uncertain words spun around a lot of double-talk. Our country needs help because of the current administration and however you feel about Hillary, she is qualified. I really believe she can get us back on track, although it may take a while. Or McCain if that’s your choice. I could never vote for Obama. BHO—I shutter to think of him trying to lead – oh yes, he said he’d delegate others to do his work in one of the debates – so we don’t even know who would be making the big decisions. Maybe Oprah? If Sen Obama admitted to more serious things than knowing what his pastor's sermons are, then why would he start lying now?? Why is he being held responsible for what another adult is saying. He never said he wrote his pastor's sermons or agreed with them for that matter. It seems to me that any little thing will do. Since the Muslin thing didn't stop him, the 'not knowing the national anthem' thing didn't stop him, the not being American thing didn't stop him, he's never cheated on his wife, never commited a crime, let's find anything little thing, no matter how minute and blow it way out of proportion. If he was going to lie, why would he make a special appearance on fox news instead of leaving us to think what we want.
It is very sad, but I do think that this will have an negative impact on his campaign. I do not, however, think that he should drop out of the race. That is giving the nay-sayers exactly what they want.

The ministers we choose to follow and learn from throughout our lives are our role models. I could never respect, much less trust a president whose religious role model damns the United States of America and opposes welcoming non-African American Christians to become permanent members of his congregation. If this were a Caucasian pastor, racially restricting his followers, it would have made headlines 20 years ago next to a large photo of Jessie Jackson cursing the white mans lack of religious brotherhood.

I am a White Republican from the South now living in Arizona. It appears that many Americans are not familiar with the Black experience in America. I do not think that Obama's pastor is really that unusual, and I do not think he is un-American or racist. I think he is a product of my generation, growing up with segregation and prejudice and now has a pulpit from which to vent his feelings. I have heard this type of talk from other Black pulpits and am not offended by it; I think I understand it and would feel the same way if we could trade places. I hope Whites do not get caught up in this "gotcha!" hysteria, because that's what it is; many people may now think that African-Americans hate America, and it's not true. They do see the world differently, but so would we if the shoe was on the other foot.

I am so glad that finally the truth is on the table. Especially after Hillary was crusified for what Geraldine Ferraro said about Senator Obama. The worst of the lot critizing her was Keith Oberman on MSNBC. The hate and fenom that he sent forth about Hillary not coming out sooner enough to dispel Geraldine's comments was beyond the pale. But you can't refute any of his remarks on his site because all messages are screened and only positive messages get through. This relation with the minister is not anything new but just recently picked up by the media. I've been sending messages for so long asking Chris Matthews, Tim Russet, Joe Scarborough and Keith why they just jump on Hillary for everything and anything that she says or does and they all give Obama a pass. The latest thing was Chris accusing the writer from SNL of being in the tank for Hillary with his unfavorable portral of Obama. Thanks again for bringing this to the public's eye.

As a true born-again Christian I am appalled at some of these so-called conservative Christians and their lack of "true forgiveness". Since when did we become a judge of a man's heart. There is no doubt in my mind that Barack Obama is aware of these racist statements by his pastor and heard them several times. Just as bad: IMO, Obama plays the race card himself by denying he is biracial, and not African- American. He switches between the two when it's convenient, as when he ran more as a biracial American for the Illionois senate. Now he identifies as black/African-American when it's convenient to get the black vote. That's playing a race card. It also does a disservice to biracial adults and children who are watching him and face in-family prejudice and isolation by their white relatives. By denying his biracial makeup, Obama also perpetuates the Jim Crowe laws that were started by white racist that condone white parents of biracial children isolating them from their blood relatives and heritage. I would respect him more if he would stop hiding his white relatives from the campaign trail, and he'd stand up for who he really is - a half-black and half-white man. I find anything else playing the race card and disgusting on the part of him and his white family members. This, and more importantly, his association with Reverend Wright is plenty enough for me to not to vote for him! Why would anyone with even a possibility of being associated with such things be elected President of the United States? An activist maybe, but our President - come on!

I just heard Newt talk about the hard left believing these views and that it is the norm. I am sorry, but I am a very proud Liberal and a proud American. Most Liberals I know support our country 100% and do not believe in bashing this country the way Rev Wright does in his sermons. I hate the way Fox always has to show how conservative and biased it is by having people on who constantly make out that the Liberals are anti American. I totally detest the way Rev Wright preaches and believe that in 20 yrs there is no way Obama didn't hear that message being preached. All along I have always said that he needed to be checked out more closely and that the more we do the more we will learn who the real Obama is. Many people may be sick of the Clintons, but at least we know what they are all about and we won't end up in a depression by continuing to spend trillions in Iraq. We need to take care of our elderly and our own veterans who have been maimed for life both physically and psychologically by going over there. We end up with McCain in November and we will never get out of Iraq and will only continue to lose more money each and every day, but more importantly innocent soldiers will continue to die daily. Lastly, I believe if Fox wasn't so worried about Obamas momentum, they wouldn't even be giving this idiot airtime and showing clips of his sermons. Maybe some day we will be able to count on Fox to truly be fair and balanced.

Those comments must of been very unusual for Obama and the congregation to be so upset. And because the comments were so unusual Obamas church friends just forgot to say anything to him. Granted, people are offended by the comments made by the minister, but is it a lie? The truth hurts, but it's the truth no less. America is controlled by rich white people. When did this become news? Also, people around the world are offended that America parades itself around with arrogance and as the great saviour of the world. As far as the 9/11 comments, I've heard this view--that America is reaping what it has sown--from many ministers, not just this black one. This does not affect my opinion of Barack, but I know mainstream networks like Fox will blow it out of proportion. It goes hand and hand with the hateful emails that have been circulating about the man since day one. He has been judged by his name from day one. That is the flawed logic of America when it comes to minorities. One commits a foul, so punish them all. Look at how many people have the last name of "James." We don't automatically assume they have criminal outlaw tendencies because of Jessie James. However, this is the exact double standard for minorities.
I am so grieved by hearing his pastor speak. I surmise that if it is in fact true that Barack Obama never heard his pastor speak in this manner, it was because of his irregular attendance more than because the pastor usually spoke on more biblical and/or pastor themes.
Jesus once said that "out of a man's heart he speaks." Jeremiah Wright's words reveal a heart filled with great hatred for white people and for the United States of America. I find it impossible to believe that he could simply turn off this spigot of venom like a faucet and become another whole person effusing biblical love for his white fellow countrymen and the USA. We are what we are; we reveal what we are by our words. Jeremiah Wright is filled with the cancer of hate.
Having these words repeated over and over and over on television right now is going to hurt black/white relations in this country. People of both racces who have been nudged from bigotry towards more charitable views of one another are going to have all those old prejudices enflamed once again.
Barack Obama would do well, for the sake of his country, not to mention his race for President of it, to set an example of zero tolerance for racial hatred and divisive spirits, to leave Jeremiah Wright's church.

Little things add up to be big things, his wife speaks, and then says I'm sorry I was miss understood. Supporters of his church speak out and he says I' m sorry I denounce him. He pastor speaks out and I'm sure not for the first time, and he says I'm sorry. If I had heard these views in church from the pastor on more than one or two occasions I would not have returned. ( so he did hear it?).
Now that he has heard it why is he still his advisor? I belive we need a change. I just not sure that the change should be for a white rascist White House to a black rascist White House. That is not a big enough change! It seem to be two side of the same coin and that coin has two faces.

After hearing excerpts of sermons, i did not hear racism, only what had happened was truth and opinions of the Rev. Wright. Majority of people only go to church, Easter Sunday, Mother's Day, and New Year's Eve. Other than that, people have been falling away from church. I saw Sen. Barack & Michelle Obama at the World Redemption Church in Greenville, S. C., Pastor Ron Carpenter, Jr. So you see, people travel to different churches. they don't alway go to their church.

I think that even with this asociation Obama still offers better solutions and can bridge the gap between parties. Had Cook Co. been excluded from the election vote tallies, BHO would not have had a snowballs' chance in Hell of being elected dogcatcher of anywhere. Yes, Wright's words are a slap in the face. Turn the other cheek, and think about what is being said.
First, the same four speeches about two basic themes (9/11 and Hillary Clinton) are being looped over and over again. This is a man with a 30 year career. If the rest of his speeches don't have this same sort of rhetoric, then the main stream media hasn't uncovered a trend but a few isolated instances.
Second, in the speeches I've seen all of on YouTube (and I haven't watched all of them) Rev. Wright doesn't say anything factually or scripturally wrong. You have to watch more than the same 15 second clips to realize that, though. You have to think, and that is something the TV is not good at encouraging people to do. THINK before you condemn. Remember that Christ asks you to understand and empathize with and love your neighbor.

Don in 1115 is missing the trees for the forest with his lecture on Christian forgiveness. This issue isn't about personal forgiveness for which Jesus taught. In fact Obama never asked for any forgiveness, since he claimed he had no knowledge of the facts. How can you forgive someone who hasn't asked for forgiveness? We are talking about is putting to task a man who will possibly be the most powerful person on the planet. Jesus also said, To those that much has been given, much more shall be expected! It seems that people mis-use the lessons Jesus taught to conveniently excuse terrible behaviors when it suits them. It is true that he said "he without sin cast the first stone" however the part that people most often leave out is when he commands us to "go now and sin no more!" (Or at least try) This is what we mean by integrity. That is the ability to integrate ethics and morality into every facet of your life and not compartmentalize. Obama has neatly tucked away his belief system, and it cannot be explained away easily. Better this was vetted now before he's president and appoints Wright secretary of hate.

He should not have been making those remarks, in mixed company, let alone in a house of the Lord. He is an older African American gentleman who has obviously been hurt by time and experience and took every opportunity given to him to express his thoughts to those who would listen. He just did it at the wrong time and too many times. At least with White America, no matter how racially biased, they will keep it amongst themselves and off camera so there's no record of it. It is ridiculous for Obama to think we are so stupid to believe that he has attended this 'church' for 20 years and has not heard Rev Wright say any of those things that we have heard tonight! I think he needs to realize that his anti-America beliefs of his friend/pastor and his wife should lead him to the only decision left, and that would be to drop out of the campaign.
I am a White Republican from the South now living in Arizona. It appears that many Americans are not familiar with the Black experience in America. I do not think that Obama's pastor is really that unusual, and I do not think he is un-American or racist. I think he is a product of my generation, growing up with segregation and prejudice and now has a pulpit from which to vent his feelings. I have heard this type of talk from other Black pulpits and am not offended by it; I think I understand it and would feel the same way if we could trade places. I hope Whites do not get caught up in this "gotcha!" hysteria, because that's what it is; many people may now think that African-Americans hate America, and it's not true. They do see the world differently, but so would we if the shoe was on the other foot.
I am so glad that finally the truth is on the table. Especially after Hillary was crusified for what Geraldine Ferraro said about Senator Obama. The worst of the lot critizing her was Keith Oberman on MSNBC. The hate and fenom that he sent forth about Hillary not coming out sooner enough to dispel Geraldine's comments was beyond the pale. But you can't refute any of his remarks on his site because all messages are screened and only positive messages get through. This relation with the minister is not anything new but just recently picked up by the media. I've been sending messages for so long asking Chris Matthews, Tim Russet, Joe Scarborough and Keith why they just jump on Hillary for everything and anything that she says or does and they all give Obama a pass. The latest thing was Chris accusing the writer from SNL of being in the tank for Hillary with his unfavorable portral of Obama. Thanks again for bringing this to the public's eye.

The difference between ignorance and stupide is quite simple...If you chose to use your intelligence your will try and understand both situations...the black side and the white side...if you care to understand the seperation of church and state, I would consider you intelligent if you feel that this could be fatal to the campaign I would consider you stupid...There is hope for ignorance there is no hope for stupidity...So Rev Wright said God damn America..maybe a better choice is to beware of the United Snakes of America...I was hesitant to do this comment...after all with Bush's program, I am sure I will be under survillance...God bless us all!
May God have mercy on our country and the soul of a man who uses the pulpit under the guise of a church to spread such unbelievable hatred. Surely this church is an exception and not the norm for black churches. I agree this has set race relations back years and ironic that those very people who would have been all over a white church for these actions are the principal players.
Dear Greta, I pray that the citizens of this country will see through Obama and understand the seriousness of his connection to this preacher and the members that believe in the words that are being preached each week. No one can convince me that this preacher doesn't do this every Sunday. Obama is an outright liar to say he has never heard him preach this way! How stupid does he think we are to believe this? Ha.
This preacher is a manipulator and "brainwasher" , and we surely don't want this in the White House. The American people have alot to fear with this man and we need to wake up and see Obama for the liar that he is!! The bible is clear that to answer a matter before you hear it, is folly. As a true born-again Christian I am appalled at some of these so-called conservative Christians and their lack of "true forgiveness". Since when did we become a judge of a man's heart. Mr. Obama has refuted Mr. Wrights views and you still hold him to it. We learn in school that guilt by association is a fallacious argument. Mr. Newt has sinned, yet we don't seem to hold him to it, he can make a movie that many of us will See.. As Jesus has stated many of you are Hypocrites, blind leading the blind and you all shall fall in the ditch, and by what measure you judge, you shall be judged yourselves. This election will show who really is a true Christian and who is just talk. OH and by the way, his views are only important it Obama endorses them, then it will be he whos Christianity I question.
There is no doubt in my mind that Barack Obama is aware of these racist statements by his pastor and heard them several times. Just as bad: IMO, Obama plays the race card himself by denying he is biracial, and not African- American. He switches between the two when it's convenient, as when he ran more as a biracial American for the Illionois senate. Now he identifies as black/African-American when it's convenient to get the black vote. That's playing a race card. It also does a disservice to biracial adults and children who are watching him and face in-family prejudice and isolation by their white relatives. By denying his biracial makeup, Obama also perpetuates the Jim Crowe laws that were started by white racist that condone white parents of biracial children isolating them from their blood relatives and heritage. I would respect him more if he would stop hiding his white relatives from the campaign trail, and he'd stand up for who he really is - a half-black and half-white man. I find anything else playing the race card and disgusting on the part of him and his white family members. This, and more importantly, his association with Reverend Wright is plenty enough for me to not to vote for him! Why would anyone with even a possibility of being associated with such things be elected President of the United States? An activist maybe, but our President - come on!
I just heard Newt talk about the hard left believing these views and that it is the norm. I am sorry, but I am a very proud Liberal and a proud American. Most Liberals I know support our country 100% and do not believe in bashing this country the way Rev Wright does in his sermons. I hate the way Fox always has to show how conservative and biased it is by having people on who constantly make out that the Liberals are anti American. I totally detest the way Rev Wright preaches and believe that in 20 yrs there is no way Obama didn't hear that message being preached. All along I have always said that he needed to be checked out more closely and that the more we do the more we will learn who the real Obama is. Many people may be sick of the Clintons, but at least we know what they are all about and we won't end up in a depression by continuing to spend trillions in Iraq. We need to take care of our elderly and our own veterans who have been maimed for life both physically and psychologically by going over there. We end up with McCain in November and we will never get out of Iraq and will only continue to lose more money each and every day, but more importantly innocent soldiers will continue to die daily. Lastly, I believe if Fox wasn't so worried about Obamas momentum, they wouldn't even be giving this idiot airtime and showing clips of his sermons. Maybe some day we will be able to count on Fox to truly be fair and balanced.
I am sure Obama is shocked as much as everyone in the congregation was when Wright said those things. You can tell they were outraged by how much they were applauding and high five-ing. Those comments must of been very unusual for Obama and the congregation to be so upset. And because the comments were so unusual Obamas church friends just forgot to say anything to him. Granted, people are offended by the comments made by the minister, but is it a lie? The truth hurts, but it's the truth no less. America is controlled by rich white people. When did this become news? Also, people around the world are offended that America parades itself around with arrogance and as the great saviour of the world. As far as the 9/11 comments, I've heard this view--that America is reaping what it has sown--from many ministers, not just this black one. This does not affect my opinion of Barack, but I know mainstream networks like Fox will blow it out of proportion. It goes hand and hand with the hateful emails that have been circulating about the man since day one. He has been judged by his name from day one. That is the flawed logic of America when it comes to minorities. One commits a foul, so punish them all. Look at how many people have the last name of "James." We don't automatically assume they have criminal outlaw tendencies because of Jessie James. However, this is the exact double standard for minorities.
I am so grieved by hearing his pastor speak. I surmise that if it is in fact true that Barack Obama never heard his pastor speak in this manner, it was because of his irregular attendance more than because the pastor usually spoke on more biblical and/or pastor themes.
Jesus once said that "out of a man's heart he speaks." Jeremiah Wright's words reveal a heart filled with great hatred for white people and for the United States of America. I find it impossible to believe that he could simply turn off this spigot of venom like a faucet and become another whole person effusing biblical love for his white fellow countrymen and the USA. We are what we are; we reveal what we are by our words. Jeremiah Wright is filled with the cancer of hate.
Having these words repeated over and over and over on television right now is going to hurt black/white relations in this country. People of both racces who have been nudged from bigotry towards more charitable views of one another are going to have all those old prejudices enflamed once again.
Barack Obama would do well, for the sake of his country, not to mention his race for President of it, to set an example of zero tolerance for racial hatred and divisive spirits, to leave Jeremiah Wright's church.
Little things add up to be big things, his wife speaks, and then says I'm sorry I was miss understood. Supporters of his church speak out and he says I' m sorry I denounce him. He pastor speaks out and I'm sure not for the first time, and he says I'm sorry. If I had heard these views in church from the pastor on more than one or two occasions I would not have returned. ( so he did hear it?).
Now that he has heard it why is he still his advisor? I belive we need a change. I just not sure that the change should be for a white rascist White House to a black rascist White House. That is not a big enough change! It seem to be two side of the same coin and that coin has two faces.

Hey Robert...it's obvious why you're at a loss for words and have to resort to personal attacks and make generalization about people who hold different viewpoints from you...there's no defense for this Obama-nation! Either he has terrible judgement or a scary radical hidden (until now perhaps) agenda. Pick your poison. I suggest Obama supports take their medicine and realize the truth. This is no witchhunt. Obama came out to defend himslef and made matters even worse. He blinked, stammered and stuttered and had his head tilted to one side the whole time. Tilting can indicate curiosity, uncertainty or query as if the person was trying to look at the subject in a different way in the hope of seeing something new. This is body language for "I am exposed, defensive and probably LYING!"
