Regardless of the circumstances - a shady towing company doing something they perhaps shouldn't be doing to make money - the reporter is just dead wrong. Taking the high road when its inconvenient needs to be her motto.
Sue the company - Im fine, take it up with BBB - Im fine, berate the owner for his business practices - I'm fine….but she doesn't address her anger with being towed, she instead insults the woman's job, looks, intelligence.
I fundamentally believe that one's true self is revealed when others are not watching. For someone in the media to be unaware - and she was actually made aware of the camera - that she might be recorded is a mistake. Im a little irritated ESPN didn't make her do more than publicly apologize, but rather go back to the person insulted directly and apologize.

Actually I think she was nice about it considering they towed her car in a predatory way, and she had to go recover it. The story made it sound like she was on the street, but the video looks like she's in the office paying to get it back. So the tow company posted it being even bigger asses than they already are. The lady taking the money was like the waiter who brings out bad food.....they are the interface and always catch the shit for what someone else actually did.

Years ago I was hit by another car while at a stop light. As I was about to call AAA the police officer on the scene said she had already called a tow truck. When the tow truck arrived the driver said don't worry about it and they will take care of everything, as I was taking out my AAA membership card. I explained that I was leaving for a business trip the next day and I wasn't going to be back for a couple of weeks. I left the tow truck driver info on where to tow the truck and my how to to contact my wife . After returning from my trip I found out that the tow truck company did nothing with my truck and simply "stored" it at their own lot. It cost me $2100 just to get it out. These tow truck companies are leeches.

Advanced Towing is a predatory, conspiratorial, sh***y little criminal enterprise operating at the very limits of the law (and often beyond), and that is their entire business model. So those of you quick to cray "raceist" (sic) and to talk about entitlement, I can assure you that McHenry's reaction showed undue restraint and forbearance in this exchange. I have friends in the tow truck buisness ,and some of his story's are so. Spot on about ilegal towing,predator toweing! He tells me he feels bad doing it! Its the company.and ther policies.that should be accountable! He told me if he doesnt do wat the company says he Will be fired! No one is gona pay his. Bills! Wat about his wife and kids.so he does as he is told!but he at least waites 10minutes after the time hass expierd.to tow .but he said some guys even seconds after not minutes seconds after expired. It shouldn't be about her vs. the company; but her vs. the cashier. Regardless of what the driver may/may not have done in towing the car or what the company may/may not have done in the past, there is nothing to say that this cashier had anything to do with it. Ms. McHenry needed an immediate take down. The cashier seemed to handle herself better than this talking head. Going off on someone's lot in life simply because you think you can is reprehensible. Everyone deserves some basic respect. The cashier escaped that particular encounter with more dignity than Ms. McHenry. Brings to mind a poster I once saw of a gorgeous woman in a bikini with the sub-line, "Somewhere someone is tired of her sh*t"; but then again, Ms. McHenry is NOT the best looking female reporter ESPN has ever had.

Quit making excuses for her. She is an adult who should know better. Character and class should appear when no one's looking, not when you're trying to shield your behind. Her behavior was completely disgusting. Slamming someone down in that manner is uncalled for. I don't care how angry you become, to demean someone with that kind of loath and disrespect. The fireman is just doing his job ! Just think you would not have made it onto the Tow Truck Driver's radar if you weren't in the wrong. The way you handled this matter was very unprofessional. You need to learn to admit when you are wrong and rise above it. The Tow Truck driver has his tactics he uses just like you have tactics for gathing your news stories & interviews. Now let's think outside the box. You could have hired a person to drive you around & circle the block if necessary to avoid a run in with the Tow Truck. I think this would have cost you less in the long run. Looks will only get you so far in life, then reality sets in. Also this does not speak well of your education. You used both positions to be a cheap putdown artist ! Is this what they are teaching you in school ? If so ask for your money back because your education has done you a dis-service .... A class act not only talks the talk but also walks the walks 7-24-365. Got it ?
I have had 2 tow truck drivers unhook my car that they tried to take illegally, when I explained to them that they were stealing my car and it was in my rights to prevent the theft of my personal property by any means available. Both had tried to repossess my car at 2 different times and locations due to a wrong address mixup. One I pointed to the house and car he wanted the other was just happy to leave intact.

That poor girl had nothing to do with her car getting towed at all. Do you know who I am?????? Actually I think she was nice about it considering they towed her car in a predatory way, and she had to go recover it. The story made it sound like she was on the street, but the video looks like she's in the office paying to get it back. So the tow company posted it being even bigger asses than they already are. The lady taking the money was like the waiter who brings out bad food.....they are the interface and always catch the shit for what someone else actually did.
Years ago I was hit by another car while at a stop light. As I was about to call AAA the police officer on the scene said she had already called a tow truck. When the tow truck arrived the driver said don't worry about it and they will take care of everything, as I was taking out my AAA membership card. I explained that I was leaving for a business trip the next day and I wasn't going to be back for a couple of weeks. I left the tow truck driver info on where to tow the truck and my how to to contact my wife . After returning from my trip I found out that the tow truck company did nothing with my truck and simply "stored" it at their own lot. It cost me $2100 just to get it out. These tow truck companies are leeches.

this kind of crap is going on in the neighborhood i used to live in. the home owner's association has been lengthening red zones without notifying residents and their approved towing company is trolling the neighborhood towing cars 1 inch in the new red or even 1 inch blocking a driveway which belongs to car owner.

I have had 2 tow truck drivers unhook my car that they tried to take illegally, when I explained to them that they were stealing my car and it was in my rights to prevent the theft of my personal property by any means available. Both had tried to repossess my car at 2 different times and locations due to a wrong address mixup. One I pointed to the house and car he wanted the other was just happy to leave intact.

It was very shallow of Ms. Mchenry to make the comments she did to the clerk at Advanced towing company. Just because the lady worked at a towing company is not an indication of her education or talents. I work a so-called blue collar job and I have two Master's degrees and working on a Ph.D. How would she feel if someone took on that same way of thinking when they saw her and start calling her a dump-a$$ blonde and so on.
