just a few that in the past was hard tickets to come by. Oh that is right you wont let the cameras show all the empty seats. And now Daytona is removing seats Hmm wonder why?

i have read some one on here compared Matts suspension too the 3 week suspension kyle busch got a few years ago...not the same kyle did it during a yellow flag... but i agree it compares well with Jeff G crashing Clint B. and as for the driver of the 10 car that was under the yellow flag. so the question here would be why didnt she get a three week suspension? and now the other question would be. why was kevin H. crashing the field to protedect his point possition and the #2 and #22 car playing their restart games was not called race manipulation and what the #15 car did a few years back was??? I personaly feel that if you cant pass a car with out spinning them out even if they are blocking you then you dont deserve to pass ...i raced dirt track for years and if some one spun out the leader they would have to go to the back for spinning the leader ...i cqn name a few nascar drivers that in the #22 possision a few weeks back could of and would of passed Matt K. with out spinning him..but #22 decided to take the easy way out and spin him .. and for that i say he set him self up to be on the other end of that.. as for the chase its the biggest joke i have ever seen in racing..NASCAR you need to wake up you may think your all high and mighty now but the more you upset fans the more of them you lose. and can you really aford to lose any ? as for me i will keep watching (from my tv not going to buy one more ticket) but as i watch i will be taking note to All the sponsers so i can make sure i dont buy any of their products...I will start buying their products again some day after i save $100,000 ...that said $100,000 is what i am fining you for failing to keep the integrity of auto racing to a standered to allow you to say you have the BEST drivers in auto racing... i wouldnt punish the sponsers by not buying from them if i thought you would pay your fine but we both know that isnt going to happen.

If Matt really wanted to inflict serious and life threatening pain on Joey he would have taken him out at Talladega. He should not have been suspended, Jeff wasn't when he ran all over Clint. If Joey hadn't have been such a smart mouth spoiled little brat it would not have happened. All he had to do was clear the air after Kansas and then not antagonize Matt the rest of the year and it would have been done. In Sunday's race, Joey slowed down, cut down into Matt, he spotter was screaming that Matt was there more than once, what was Matt suppose to do. It would be the equivalent of Joey smacking one if Matt's kids and Matt saying that's okay, that would never happen. I'm not even a fan of Matt's but have always respected how he drives a race car, race me clean I race u clean, race me dirty and I have no choice but to race u the same way. Don't dish it out if you can't take it Joey. Plain and simple.

It's not about Joey or Matt, it's about NASCAR treating any driver differently than another. Same race - Danica purposely tries to wreck Gilliland - gets a fine. Matt takes out Joey - get suspended. There are 43 drivers in the race - not 8 or 4 or however NASCAR wants to decide are the "chosen" ones. Either treat them all equally or lower the number of the drivers in a race. Want just the Chase drivers out there? Run them in a race like the old IROC series and keep the main race a real race where every driver has the same equal rules to follow and the same result if penalized.

I don't think NASCAR can even spell integrity. Just listen to the conversations on the restarts. Joey takes the high side and Brad takes the low side on the restart. They agree that Brad will hold up the bottom line and let Joes take the lead spot from him. (What happened to racing each other?) This kind of BS leads to the events we watched. When looking for someone to blame, try looking in the mirror Mr. France.

The guys that run NASCAR have screwed it up for all. I have been a fan most of my 56 years, have traveled cross country to be at a race. I have spent my last red cent having anything to do with this sport. My feelings have been shared by a lot of people, and these idiots can't figure out why their losing so many fans each year. Go back to racing on the beach at Daytona, and start over. Your last chance before you lose ALL your fans, and then where will your high dollar sponsors be?

And as for intentional, did NASCAR already forget when Harvick took out several cars to stay in the chase because his car was broke, no penalties there. Just another example of NASCAR making rules up as they go along to make sure they get the drivers they want into the spot light. Maybe NASCAR should not have sued the statement to (have at it boys) if they really meant only some of you can have at it. As of right now NASCAR can count me out of ever going to another race. NASCAR completely missed the boat with this one, both Kawaz & Joey have been disrespecting other drivers since they finally got running good, it's like no one else matters on the track.
Brad disrespecting Jeff last year, Joey wrecking Matt in Kansas, Joey cutting down in front of Matt in Dega, Joey & Matt staging the re-starts in Martinsvillie, not once or twice, but over & over, until the only clearly equal or better car was taken out (Matt), weather on purpose or not, Matt was removed from being able to compete for a win.
So how many times does Matt "bendover" for Joey and Brad before he has to defend his right to be on the race track??? All this tells me is that Matt has no rights on the track.
Come on NASCAR, all of you guys are smart enough to see all of this, couple that with this suspension being two races, allowing Matt back on the track at Homestead?? TV rating, $$$$$, anyone smell a rat? This has clearly been orchestrated by NASCAR to increase revenue and ratings. I watch racing every week I notice drivers with character among other drivers I think Matt Kenseth is a professional driver what Joey did the week before remind me of his teammate last year the week before he came behind Matt trailing him until he got the chance to bump him causing Matt to spin out he went on to win the race he did not show any remorse he came back bragging I think he did it on purpose as a result Matt is out of the championship .On Sunday both teammate gang up on Matt hitting him causing his car to spin out he want to win just as Joey I believe in an eye for an eye he came away calling Matt coward he is the coward Nascar should review the tape of both weeks and notice how joey is driving Matt should not be punish he is a great driver not a durty driver he is out of the championship because of Joey

Joey Lagono should of been suspended the previous week. He internationally wrecked Matt Kenseth out of the chase. Yet Nascar suspends Matt and Joey walks away with no penalties. Dale Jr shoud be in the chase but Nascar hurried to throw a caution flag. Harvick should of been penalized if not for the crap ypu allow him to get away with the outcome of the race would of been been completely different.

I think it was more than fare for Matt to be suspended for 2 races. Honestly it won't matter this year - he should have been suspended for the 2016 season. Yes, Joey did bump Matt BUT that was a defensive blocks there's ALOT of go cart style bumps in the sport. However, when you HIT a driver and FOLLOW that driver to make sure he was totally done for that race- that's wrong. I don't care who your driver is... They have been bummed or been the one bumping. But when you intentionally try and damage a car you are also putting that driver at risk too! This is a heavy machine sport going at a high speed. So yes, I think suspention and fines are perfectly acceptable for trying to take Joey out- he could have died! Harvick also started that huge wreck last week cause he had a blown motor- funny how he got out of all of it without a scratch and advanced. I think there needs to be a reevaluation in the sport about the safety of the drivers and retaliation

Matt should have received a hefty fine and loss of points. Harvick should have received a fine for wrecking faster cars in Taladega. Logano should have received a fined for crashing Matt the week before.
Moving a car over is one thing but running them up the track into the wall not right.
The worst thing is the stupid points system, the point should be on the total years performance, 10 races doesn't constitute a champion. And NASCAR wonders why their attendance is down!

Instead of suspending Matt Kenseth I feel that nascar should get all these drivers together and say, look here we have a great sport now, it is very intense, the fans love it, there is no more a runaway in the championship race. If nascar wants to put a stop to these intentional wrecks they should lay out the rules in black and white and lay out the penalties involved and make them very severe. I know this is a tough situation for nascar because they don't want any driver to be serious hurt or killed, they want this sport to be competitive but safe, after all they didn't go thru making all these improvements in the sport to make it safe to have someone get seriously hurt or killed because of a payback. I think the decision to suspend Kenseth is wrong, He should get what the others drivers got and not make an example of him at this point. Nascar is well adversed in what they feel is safe and what they have done in the past is stop the bumping in the turns, you want to get someone out of the way do it on the straight away, if it becomes an accident don't gloat about it and say that's racing because when you say that to me it is not an accident. This format in the chase is in uncharted waters and everyone has to learn as time goes on. Nascar spell out what you want in black and white and don't be so wishey washey about it. This is a great sport now and to keep it great continue to make the right improvements in it and it will be even greater. Don't make a sacrificial lam out of these drivers. They are all great people they all want to win, help them do that in the proper manner as I know you can.

How can they justify this suspension when they have allowed this behavior in the past. Like Jeff Hamond said there is no rule against what Matt did. If you don't like it create a rule against it and give everyone notice. NASCAR's knee jerk reactions (rule changes) are going to bite them in the butt. But when Mike Helton can look the reporter and the camera in the eye and say Kevin Harvick didn't do anything wrong at Talladaga last week this shows what the NASCAR leadership is made of. A JOKE

Looks like NASCAR refuses to listen to the fans once again. Matt shouldn't walk away unpunished, but to sit him out for 2 races, come on. When over 75 percent of the folks who fund your sport say you got it wrong, you got it wrong. NASCAR has had more publicity in the last few days than they have all year. They got exactly what they wanted. They knew something was going to happen. We all did. To sit Matt out for living up to all our expectations is just flat out wrong. If you really wanted to punish him, they should have made him wear a " Joey is my hero " jersey. Let the drivers know that if anyone is tempted to try it again, this is what WILL HAPPEN. No if's ands or buts! All NASCAR has done is show it's fans that they really have no clue on how to be consistent.

Sometimes you do what you have to do, Matt was willing to pay the cost and he was willing to take a stand and obviously they are others that feel the same, it probably isn't over Joey. What goes around comes around but Nascar could have done the right thing and penalized Joey to start with and it would not have gone this far. Some say if this had been Jr. his fans would want Matt to be penalized worse than he was but you know the Earnhardt fans don't need to worry about that because Jr. does the right thing and goes out of his way to race with fairness and dignity.

First of all, I'm not a big Kenneth Fan, but Joey L. is a big cry baby and he has his daddy starting his fights for him. Joey got his and I hope another driver takes him out this weekend, and the following weekend. Joey has been a jerk from day one, I took my kids to meet him at a signing and he was such a jerk. I have to say this Kyle Busch is a class act, when my son was sick Kyle took the time to reply to his letters.
Everyone wants a good race, NASCAR has gone down hill since the STUPID CHASE format. Racing is made from a season long consistent finishing of the driver. Now its a CRAP shoot. NASCAR should be ashamed to put this product out to the public.
What message is NASCAR sending, its OK for Harvick (#HARVICKSUX) to wreck cars to get in the chase last week, but its not fair for a driver to handle his issues with another on the track. Joey and Brad and can wreck Matt and nothing is said to them. NASCAR how much is Penske paying you to look the other way.
Don't watch NASCAR, because it is like watching WWE wrestling. What ever happened to the old saying, 'have at it boys...'

I used to take my family to races in Dover, Pocono, and Daytona. Now we go to the beaches and enjoy our time there. I am thinking about selling off my autographed NASCAR collection. Because I don't see NASCAR getting any better. France, O'Donnell and NBC ruined the sport!!!

NASCAR almost got this one right with suspending Kenseth. Should have suspended him the rest of the season and put him on probation for a year. Kenseth wrecked himself in Kansas by continually blocking a faster car for the lead. He came down low one time to many to block Logano who clearly had a run on Kenseth. Kenseth knew Logano was going to beat him, but didn't think Logano would put a bumper on him.....well he thought wrong. What happen in Martinsville was criminal to say the least. Kenseth being 7 laps down, then come's back out to purposely take the leader out of the the race is a CHICKEN S__T move and should not be tolerated ....Joe Gibbs should be a shame having a driver with this type of character....F--k Kenseth

This is a wrong sign. It is OK to wreck a driver one week and the next week the wrecked driver returns the favor and he gets suspended. Have been a fan for over 50 years, but this stinks. Let them decide on the track how to take care of the problem like they used to do in the "good old days". That were REAL RACING. How can the "bosses" let two race drivers control the start and restart of a race and not disqualified them? Pay back and gets suspends? Some of the today "drivers" couldn't wipe the dirt off of the old driver's shoes. They be yelling "he done me dirty". It's time they quit playing like babies and go to REAL RACING.

NASCAR.....Please take a moment of your time and READ the above statements!!!!! All the local tracks around the country thank goodness don't play by such rules. I truly wanna thank you though for ruining the upper realms of RACING. YOU ARE NOT LISTENING TO YOUR FANS...you know the ones that pay the bills weekly by showing up to YOUR tracks. All I have to say is at least USAC and the World of Outlaws to name a few haven't went to this level. Between Indiana Sprint and Midget Week, The Chili Bowl, and some Awesome Dirt Late Model Shows around the country they will be open arms for everyone you pushed away and be happy to take our money. You know the place where Rubbin' is still Racin' and the drivers Daddy cannot run to the NASCAR Trailer act like a 3 year old by jumping up and down screaming foul! foul! foul! because his son didn't get his way. I gotta go now remember......If a race is going on and there is no one there to watch who wins.......is it really a race??? Matt should have not been suspended. If joey had listen to his spotter it would not have happen. He is the one that caused the wreck not Matt. He came down on him anybody could see that. If anyone still believes that NASCAR is not manipulating races to achieve their desired ends, I have a used minivan I'd like to sell them for the bargain price of $100,000. I have watched over the years how certain drivers can do no wrong while others are demonized for similar actions. I have grown more cynical each week as the powers that be change the rules and their minds depending on who is currently doing well and who is not. The whole concept of the Chase defies logic in that the champion should always be the driver and team who have consistently done the job and collected points based on their performance every race, not just the final races of the season. I would have given Kenseth the same applause the fans at the race gave him, not only because Logano deserved it, but because Nascar deserved it as well. Shame on them for wrecking racing.

Lagano had it coming after wrecking Kenseth twice in consecutive weeks to screw MATT out of a title shot and NASCAR officials said "oh that's just racing". If NASCAR officials are going to let Joey get away with incidents like the KANSAS wreck then Joey got what he DESERVED at Martinsville.

was a fan from the very first race that was on tv now 50 + years later I don't even watch the races, The company I work for has offered free tickets and can't even give them away. Nascar, this should send you a message that your losing all your fans and somthing needs to be fixed. Now what took place last race was payback and the boy had it coming to him. by putting the other driver out for two races is a joke. I hope the rest of the sponcers wake up and pull out. they are throwing money into a dead sport.

As a former Busch Grand National pit crew member with one of Nascar's top teams (back in the day), I fully understand the emotional side of racing. Additionally, I've always been a Matt fan and really respected him. If Matt felt that strongly about Joey racing him hard a couple of weeks ago when Matt was doing everything he could to block Joey (which is exactly what Matt should have been doing to win the race), he should have settled it after the race with a good punch to Joey's nose. To take Joey out intentionally this weekend while he was 10 laps down was chicken$$it. I would have felt better if Matt had just manned up after the incident and said he did on purpose rather than flat out lying and saying it was unintentional. Not sure that his career will bounce back after that bone head decision.

NASCAR should end the "Chase". Let the driver with the most points (not wins necessarily) be the champ for that season. The only created the Chase when a driver who did not win a race all season long (Kenseth, I believe) ended up the champ for that year. Gordon & several others cried & pouted. They had won races, Matt didn't, but his points were higher than theirs. It was simply, maybe he didn't win a race, but he raced better than they did - had more top 5 & 10 finishes than they did.
Go back to straight racing, & cut the act - racing is racing, not a show.

for all of you who think it is Kenseth to blame you are not looking close enough. If you watch from front view Logano came down on Kenseth. Now at the first moment of impact while watching from the right rear angle you see the lettering on Kenseths front tire freeze. This shows that the tire locked up and upon this happening causes the car to pull very hard to the right. Now I am not saying that Kenseth didn't want to but I am saying from watching the replays he did not do it intentionally. If Nascar would do what is right then they should investigate a little more before making a decision and if you penalize one then it should have gone both ways. JUST SAYING look before you blame..........................

I so much miss the days when Dale Earnhardt was racing. At that time i moved from new york to north carolina to be closer to the racing.My brother in law even started to get me in the pits. And i loved it. The racing was great none of this crap like now.Like we have to slow the cars down they are going to fast.What is that all about. When nascar tried to make all the cars the same it went down hill. What nascar needs now is to stop all the bullshit rules and let these guys race.And if a driver comes along that can drive like Dale Earnhardt Sr let him go at it. If you want to save this sport it needs to go back to the good old days.When we all could not wait for sunday to come along. WE NEED ANOTHER DALE EARNHARDT SR. And some good racing like the pass in the grass what a race that was!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kenseth was way over the line on this-----it was a flagerant hit and driving Lagano into the wall. Lagano only tapped Kenseth the week before, thats what is cutomary when people are blocking you. Yeah alot of different drivers have wrecked people but not T boning them into the wall---car owners and sponsers cant be happy about all the money needed to replace the damaged cars. Yeah all the rednecks are happy about what Kenseth did but it was an over the line cheap shot and in general is not good for Motor sports.

You had a good spectator sport and then you let young punks in who hasn't paid their dues learning how to race with pride and respect. Money talks and deals are made under the table. You let car manufactures have a edge on power to keep them racing. You let Dodge and now Ford have a edge. Sponsors have got a break to keep them happy. You have lost Gordon, next year Stewart and possibly in a few years Earnhart and Johnson / See how many fans Logano will bring in -- Go at boys if you are the the ones we are pushing to stardom. Nascar is so inconsistent. Just like kyle buch said it depends on the name above the drivers door. They only fined jeff gordon and carl Edwards a few years ago and theybdid much harder hits and jeff gordon killed clint bowyers shot at a title but only fined and not suspended. Just shows nascar is really inconsistent and makes fans disappointed in them and that why they lose fans everyday by making the rules as they go. Not a fan of either driver but i think when dale jr, harvick, hamlin, stewart, gordon, and kyle all say logano broke the drivers code and deserved to be dumped then theres an issue with one man and thats joey logano and how he can get away with the stuff he says and does is incredible its like nascar wants people to know who they want to win the championship its incredible. Ive lost a lot of respect for nascar today because of this and hope that a joe gibbs car in kyle or carl absolutely kills the field and wins the championship just to give joe gibbs a reason to rub it in to nascar. Matt Kenseth is one of the most respected guys for a reason and the quicker nascar realizes they are wrong the better. Not only that but Danica hits someone under caution and only fines but a drivers wrwcks another alone under green and suspended but danica sells more tickets so have to keep her on the track right? If nascar had punished Joey Lagano two weeks ago none of this would be takeing plaice now. Nascar is ruining Racing. I for one have been watching for more than 30 years and am about fed up with their partial rules. Its no wonder the crowds are dwindeling, Did they not notice the entire stadium standing on their feet cheering when Kenseth wrecked Joey. It was so deserved.

Penalty was not harsh enough. Matt should have been suspended for the rest of the season, plus 4 0r 5 races in the next season. Matt deserved what he got at Kansas. Saw Dale Earnhardt do it several times exactly as Joey did. Keep on trucking Joey.

Nascar got this way wrong! If I was a track owner I would be pissed off. They will be taking out more seats next year. Brian France is turning Nascar into the Jerry Springer racing series. Logano made a punk move in Kansas and deserved what he got at Martinsville. Kevin Harvick should have been penalized by Nascar for his move to intentionally cause a caution on the restart because his motor was done. I will have a hard time considering anyone a champion after this season is over after the chicken shit moves I have seen and nascar has applauded in this chase. I just hope the Penske (punksky) team is out before Homestead.

if nascar was doing this about safety, why didn't they set Danica down for two races. She chased a car up the track to wreck it. If this was about safety on the track. They could have defused this whole thing, but instead let Lagano brag and laugh about it on national tv. everybody knew what was goin to happen and it did . It was no big surprise. Need owners and driver union for sure.. nasalike needs to take out more seats in additional renivation, as sure I and my family won't be coming back. So if Matt was still in Chase ten laps down that would be OK.
Denny Hamlin should have took out Harvick before (he Harvick) took out Hamlin, Earnhardt. and would have been legal by their (Nasalike) standards. Nasalike for most tracks now the same. I am Mad and am DONE WITH NASCAR...

Joey L. was just doing what other drivers have done in the past. When he passed Matt K. in Kansas this what what other drivers have done in the past to win a race. But when you intentionally put your car in the position of pushing another car into the wall this is no longer safe. If you are this fired up to cause this much damage maybe we need some anger management to Matt, or any other driver that causes harm intentionally. If you are stupid enough to do this at least man up and admit what you have done, don't be a coward and lie about your actions. If you feel this is okay to crash cars then you should not be ashamed of being a jerk. If you review the race you will see that Joey L. just did a bump and run not a slam in the wall. Did you not ever see any driver ever do this to win a championship or to win a race. Come on fans you just don't want to see some young man win a championship. Repeat champions will keep ratings down and new champions will encourage a younger audience. Joey I am hoping you do well in the next 2 races as you deserve the championship

I like Joey , but not Brad , but the two of them worked together to alter the race results ,and they get a pass ? joey is not to smart he already had 1 win to put him in the next round matt was trying to win @ kanas because he needed to in order to advance yes matt was blocking joey @ kanas but you don't turn someone who needs to win in the corner , if you are faster you set yourself up to pass him on the straight and if he comes down to block then he is the one who takes his ownself out don't do it in the corner in order to win and comment on it after the race because all your going to do is piss off the other driver and he will wait for his opportunity to take you out. The reason nascar got it wrong is they knew it could and would happen and they didn't address it before it happen because similar incidents has happen and penalty was not as severe al Matt did was stand up for himself, pay back is a mother, and boost nascar ticket sales and tv ratings next race HEY MATT, hit that squiarrel again

The NASCAR that we are watching today is truly a joke!! I was a season ticker holder at Bristol and Kansas and when NASCAR started all these changes I knew where this was headed!!!! I gave up all my season tickets and haven't been to another race since!!!! What has transpired in the last few races is truly the fault of NASCAR!!!! This playoff nonsense is your baby and know you want to suspend drivers for their actions! Wasn't long ago you told the drivers to have at it and know when they do this is your answer!!! Kevin Harvick intentionly wrecked to stay in the chase! Didn't see him really Trevor was a good fender a head of him when Harvick took him out!!! Joey spins out Matt but your call was that was just racing!! This week Brad wrecks Kenseth your response was nothing but when Matt gets into Joey you want to suspend him!!!! What did you think was going to happen in a playoff system when there is only a few racing for a championship and there is 42 cars on the track!!!! All your changes in your format and your desire to have a playoff has come down to this!!! That's why the seats keep getting emptier and a smaller tv audience! Go buy you a team in the NBA or Major League Baseball if a playoff is what you want! In other professional sports the teams that didn't make the playoffs are not still out there competing!! What if one of the non playoff team blows a tire and takes out 2 or 3 of your playoff teams and they lose so many points they can't catch up what away for a championship to be decided!!!!! Keep going NASCAR and eventually your fan base will be three people in the stands and watching the two cars that you have deemed worthy of racing for the championship. I watched Carl Edwards punt Keslowski to teach him some driving manners. I watched Dale Jarrett lay in wait to drive Dale Earnhardt into the wall at Bristol to teach him something about retaliation and you know what, it worked. And why doesn't NASCAR just award the victory to Logano? We all know that they are good at awarding things. Then, why didn't NASCAR punish Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards and Denny Hamilin for being team mates to Kennseth? We know they are good at punishing the whole organization for one drivers action. They have proven that. NASCAR's numbers aren't dwindling due to the economy as claimed. It's because the fan base has absorbed all the taste of horse shit that they can stand. The NASCAR hierarchy was blessed with no balls to tote around and they have a hard time dealing with those who have some.

Gordon can take out Bowyer and others at Phoenix, lose points, pay fine and get put on suspension but Kennesth is suspended? Not equal treatment under the big tent of NASCAR, no surprise there. Penske's boys better remember that there are other Toyota drivers out there that have nothing to lose in the chase. Matt should have just spun him out and block his ability to get restarted until the whole pack had gone by one or 2 laps down would have put him out of contention just as easily and them Matt could have done it again for the next 2 races.

i have read some one on here compared Matts suspension too the 3 week suspension kyle busch got a few years ago...not the same kyle did it during a yellow flag... but i agree it compares well with Jeff G crashing Clint B. and as for the driver of the 10 car that was under the yellow flag. so the question here would be why didnt she get a three week suspension? and now the other question would be. why was kevin H. crashing the field to protedect his point possition and the #2 and #22 car playing their restart games was not called race manipulation and what the #15 car did a few years back was??? I personaly feel that if you cant pass a car with out spinning them out even if they are blocking you then you dont deserve to pass ...i raced dirt track for years and if some one spun out the leader they would have to go to the back for spinning the leader ...i cqn name a few nascar drivers that in the #22 possision a few weeks back could of and would of passed Matt K. with out spinning him..but #22 decided to take the easy way out and spin him .. and for that i say he set him self up to be on the other end of that.. as for the chase its the biggest joke i have ever seen in racing..NASCAR you need to wake up you may think your all high and mighty now but the more you upset fans the more of them you lose. and can you really aford to lose any ? as for me i will keep watching (from my tv not going to buy one more ticket) but as i watch i will be taking note to All the sponsers so i can make sure i dont buy any of their products...I will start buying their products again some day after i save $100,000 ...that said $100,000 is what i am fining you for failing to keep the integrity of auto racing to a standered to allow you to say you have the BEST drivers in auto racing... i wouldnt punish the sponsers by not buying from them if i thought you would pay your fine but we both know that isnt going to happen.
If Matt really wanted to inflict serious and life threatening pain on Joey he would have taken him out at Talladega. He should not have been suspended, Jeff wasn't when he ran all over Clint. If Joey hadn't have been such a smart mouth spoiled little brat it would not have happened. All he had to do was clear the air after Kansas and then not antagonize Matt the rest of the year and it would have been done. In Sunday's race, Joey slowed down, cut down into Matt, he spotter was screaming that Matt was there more than once, what was Matt suppose to do. It would be the equivalent of Joey smacking one if Matt's kids and Matt saying that's okay, that would never happen. I'm not even a fan of Matt's but have always respected how he drives a race car, race me clean I race u clean, race me dirty and I have no choice but to race u the same way. Don't dish it out if you can't take it Joey. Plain and simple.

It's not about Joey or Matt, it's about NASCAR treating any driver differently than another. Same race - Danica purposely tries to wreck Gilliland - gets a fine. Matt takes out Joey - get suspended. There are 43 drivers in the race - not 8 or 4 or however NASCAR wants to decide are the "chosen" ones. Either treat them all equally or lower the number of the drivers in a race. Want just the Chase drivers out there? Run them in a race like the old IROC series and keep the main race a real race where every driver has the same equal rules to follow and the same result if penalized.

They agree that Brad will hold up the bottom line and let Joes take the lead spot from him. (What happened to racing each other?) This kind of BS leads to the events we watched. When looking for someone to blame, try looking in the mirror Mr. France.
I heard Brad claim that he broke a suspension part when he crashed someone earlier in the race. (I noticed that it seemed to have healed itself later.) I also heard Matt say, "I must have blown a right front."
It seems that you either accept an improbably story as truth, or get to the bottom of all the lies.
If "The Chase" has such sanctity, why not penalize the driver who caused the crash to preserve his spot in the cut to the final eight. (I will allow him to remain anonymous to protect his frail ego.)

The guys that run NASCAR have screwed it up for all. I have been a fan most of my 56 years, have traveled cross country to be at a race. I have spent my last red cent having anything to do with this sport. My feelings have been shared by a lot of people, and these idiots can't figure out why their losing so many fans each year. Go back to racing on the beach at Daytona, and start over. Your last chance before you lose ALL your fans, and then where will your high dollar sponsors be?

Brad disrespecting Jeff last year, Joey wrecking Matt in Kansas, Joey cutting down in front of Matt in Dega, Joey & Matt staging the re-starts in Martinsvillie, not once or twice, but over & over, until the only clearly equal or better car was taken out (Matt), weather on purpose or not, Matt was removed from being able to compete for a win.
So how many times does Matt "bendover" for Joey and Brad before he has to defend his right to be on the race track??? All this tells me is that Matt has no rights on the track.
Come on NASCAR, all of you guys are smart enough to see all of this, couple that with this suspension being two races, allowing Matt back on the track at Homestead?? I watch racing every week I notice drivers with character among other drivers I think Matt Kenseth is a professional driver what Joey did the week before remind me of his teammate last year the week before he came behind Matt trailing him until he got the chance to bump him causing Matt to spin out he went on to win the race he did not show any remorse he came back bragging I think he did it on purpose as a result Matt is out of the championship .On Sunday both teammate gang up on Matt hitting him causing his car to spin out he want to win just as Joey I believe in an eye for an eye he came away calling Matt coward he is the coward Nascar should review the tape of both weeks and notice how joey is driving Matt should not be punish he is a great driver not a durty driver he is out of the championship because of Joey

Joey Lagono should of been suspended the previous week. He internationally wrecked Matt Kenseth out of the chase. Yet Nascar suspends Matt and Joey walks away with no penalties. Dale Jr shoud be in the chase but Nascar hurried to throw a caution flag. Harvick should of been penalized if not for the crap ypu allow him to get away with the outcome of the race would of been been completely different.

I think it was more than fare for Matt to be suspended for 2 races. Honestly it won't matter this year - he should have been suspended for the 2016 season. Yes, Joey did bump Matt BUT that was a defensive blocks there's ALOT of go cart style bumps in the sport. However, when you HIT a driver and FOLLOW that driver to make sure he was totally done for that race- that's wrong. I don't care who your driver is... They have been bummed or been the one bumping. But when you intentionally try and damage a car you are also putting that driver at risk too! This is a heavy machine sport going at a high speed. So yes, I think suspention and fines are perfectly acceptable for trying to take Joey out- he could have died! Harvick also started that huge wreck last week cause he had a blown motor- funny how he got out of all of it without a scratch and advanced. I think there needs to be a reevaluation in the sport about the safety of the drivers and retaliation

Instead of suspending Matt Kenseth I feel that nascar should get all these drivers together and say, look here we have a great sport now, it is very intense, the fans love it, there is no more a runaway in the championship race. If nascar wants to put a stop to these intentional wrecks they should lay out the rules in black and white and lay out the penalties involved and make them very severe. I know this is a tough situation for nascar because they don't want any driver to be serious hurt or killed, they want this sport to be competitive but safe, after all they didn't go thru making all these improvements in the sport to make it safe to have someone get seriously hurt or killed because of a payback. I think the decision to suspend Kenseth is wrong, He should get what the others drivers got and not make an example of him at this point. Nascar is well adversed in what they feel is safe and what they have done in the past is stop the bumping in the turns, you want to get someone out of the way do it on the straight away, if it becomes an accident don't gloat about it and say that's racing because when you say that to me it is not an accident. This format in the chase is in uncharted waters and everyone has to learn as time goes on. Nascar spell out what you want in black and white and don't be so wishey washey about it. This is a great sport now and to keep it great continue to make the right improvements in it and it will be even greater. Don't make a sacrificial lam out of these drivers. They are all great people they all want to win, help them do that in the proper manner as I know you can.
How can they justify this suspension when they have allowed this behavior in the past. Like Jeff Hamond said there is no rule against what Matt did. If you don't like it create a rule against it and give everyone notice. NASCAR's knee jerk reactions (rule changes) are going to bite them in the butt. Looks like NASCAR refuses to listen to the fans once again. Matt shouldn't walk away unpunished, but to sit him out for 2 races, come on. When over 75 percent of the folks who fund your sport say you got it wrong, you got it wrong. NASCAR has had more publicity in the last few days than they have all year. They got exactly what they wanted. They knew something was going to happen. We all did. To sit Matt out for living up to all our expectations is just flat out wrong. If you really wanted to punish him, they should have made him wear a " Joey is my hero " jersey. Let the drivers know that if anyone is tempted to try it again, this is what WILL HAPPEN. No if's ands or buts! All NASCAR has done is show it's fans that they really have no clue on how to be consistent.
Sometimes you do what you have to do, Matt was willing to pay the cost and he was willing to take a stand and obviously they are others that feel the same, it probably isn't over Joey. What goes around comes around but Nascar could have done the right thing and penalized Joey to start with and it would not have gone this far. Some say if this had been Jr. his fans would want Matt to be penalized worse than he was but you know the Earnhardt fans don't need to worry about that because Jr. does the right thing and goes out of his way to race with fairness and dignity.

First of all, I'm not a big Kenneth Fan, but Joey L. is a big cry baby and he has his daddy starting his fights for him. Joey got his and I hope another driver takes him out this weekend, and the following weekend. Joey has been a jerk from day one, I took my kids to meet him at a signing and he was such a jerk. I used to take my family to races in Dover, Pocono, and Daytona. Now we go to the beaches and enjoy our time there. I am thinking about selling off my autographed NASCAR collection. Because I don't see NASCAR getting any better. France, O'Donnell and NBC ruined the sport!!!
NASCAR almost got this one right with suspending Kenseth. Should have suspended him the rest of the season and put him on probation for a year. Kenseth wrecked himself in Kansas by continually blocking a faster car for the lead. He came down low one time to many to block Logano who clearly had a run on Kenseth. If anyone still believes that NASCAR is not manipulating races to achieve their desired ends, I have a used minivan I'd like to sell them for the bargain price of $100,000. I have watched over the years how certain drivers can do no wrong while others are demonized for similar actions. I have grown more cynical each week as the powers that be change the rules and their minds depending on who is currently doing well and who is not. The whole concept of the Chase defies logic in that the champion should always be the driver and team who have consistently done the job and collected points based on their performance every race, not just the final races of the season. I would have given Kenseth the same applause the fans at the race gave him, not only because Logano deserved it, but because Nascar deserved it as well. Shame on them for wrecking racing.

As a former Busch Grand National pit crew member with one of Nascar's top teams (back in the day), I fully understand the emotional side of racing. Additionally, I've always been a Matt fan and really respected him. If Matt felt that strongly about Joey racing him hard a couple of weeks ago when Matt was doing everything he could to block Joey (which is exactly what Matt should have been doing to win the race), he should have settled it after the race with a good punch to Joey's nose. To take Joey out intentionally this weekend while he was 10 laps down was chicken$$it. I would have felt better if Matt had just manned up after the incident and said he did on purpose rather than flat out lying and saying it was unintentional. Not sure that his career will bounce back after that bone head decision.
NASCAR should end the "Chase". Let the driver with the most points (not wins necessarily) be the champ for that season. The only created the Chase when a driver who did not win a race all season long (Kenseth, I believe) ended up the champ for that year. Gordon & several others cried & pouted. They had won races, Matt didn't, but his points were higher than theirs. It was simply, maybe he didn't win a race, but he raced better than they did - had more top 5 & 10 finishes than they did.
Go back to straight racing, & cut the act - racing is racing, not a show.
for all of you who think it is Kenseth to blame you are not looking close enough. If you watch from front view Logano came down on Kenseth. Now at the first moment of impact while watching from the right rear angle you see the lettering on Kenseths front tire freeze. This shows that the tire locked up and upon this happening causes the car to pull very hard to the right. Now I am not saying that Kenseth didn't want to but I am saying from watching the replays he did not do it intentionally. If Nascar would do what is right then they should investigate a little more before making a decision and if you penalize one then it should have gone both ways. I so much miss the days when Dale Earnhardt was racing. At that time i moved from new york to north carolina to be closer to the racing.My brother in law even started to get me in the pits. And i loved it. The racing was great none of this crap like now.Like we have to slow the cars down they are going to fast.What is that all about. When nascar tried to make all the cars the same it went down hill. What nascar needs now is to stop all the bullshit rules and let these guys race.And if a driver comes along that can drive like Dale Earnhardt Sr let him go at it. Kenseth was way over the line on this-----it was a flagerant hit and driving Lagano into the wall. Lagano only tapped Kenseth the week before, thats what is cutomary when people are blocking you. Yeah alot of different drivers have wrecked people but not T boning them into the wall---car owners and sponsers cant be happy about all the money needed to replace the damaged cars. Nascar is so inconsistent. Just like kyle buch said it depends on the name above the drivers door. They only fined jeff gordon and carl Edwards a few years ago and theybdid much harder hits and jeff gordon killed clint bowyers shot at a title but only fined and not suspended. Just shows nascar is really inconsistent and makes fans disappointed in them and that why they lose fans everyday by making the rules as they go. Not a fan of either driver but i think when dale jr, harvick, hamlin, stewart, gordon, and kyle all say logano broke the drivers code and deserved to be dumped then theres an issue with one man and thats joey logano and how he can get away with the stuff he says and does is incredible its like nascar wants people to know who they want to win the championship its incredible. if nascar was doing this about safety, why didn't they set Danica down for two races. She chased a car up the track to wreck it. If this was about safety on the track. They could have defused this whole thing, but instead let Lagano brag and laugh about it on national tv. everybody knew what was goin to happen and it did . It was no big surprise. Joey L. was just doing what other drivers have done in the past. When he passed Matt K. in Kansas this what what other drivers have done in the past to win a race. But when you intentionally put your car in the position of pushing another car into the wall this is no longer safe. If you are this fired up to cause this much damage maybe we need some anger management to Matt, or any other driver that causes harm intentionally. If you are stupid enough to do this at least man up and admit what you have done, don't be a coward and lie about your actions. If you feel this is okay to crash cars then you should not be ashamed of being a jerk. If you review the race you will see that Joey L. just did a bump and run not a slam in the wall. Did you not ever see any driver ever do this to win a championship or to win a race. Come on fans you just don't want to see some young man win a championship. Repeat champions will keep ratings down and new champions will encourage a younger audience. Joey I am hoping you do well in the next 2 races as you deserve the championship
If Harvick, wrecking half the field to maintain a spot in the chase , wasn't manipulating the results in his favor , then I'm a jet pilot ! I like Joey , but not Brad , but the two of them worked together to alter the race results ,and they get a pass ? When they take out the same driver 2 weeks in a row , and he isn't expected to play the wreck'um game , then Nascar , you are at fault , for not penalizing all or none . joey is not to smart he already had 1 win to put him in the next round matt was trying to win @ kanas because he needed to in order to advance yes matt was blocking joey @ kanas but you don't turn someone who needs to win in the corner , if you are faster you set yourself up to pass him on the straight and if he comes down to block then he is the one who takes his ownself out don't do it in the corner in order to win and comment on it after the race because all your going to do is piss off the other driver and he will wait for his opportunity to take you out. The reason nascar got it wrong is they knew it could and would happen and they didn't address it before it happen because similar incidents has happen and penalty was not as severe al Matt did was stand up for himself, pay back is a mother, and boost nascar ticket sales and tv ratings next race HEY MATT, hit that squiarrel again
The NASCAR that we are watching today is truly a joke!! I was a season ticker holder at Bristol and Kansas and when NASCAR started all these changes I knew where this was headed!!!! I gave up all my season tickets and haven't been to another race since!!!! What has transpired in the last few races is truly the fault of NASCAR!!!! This playoff nonsense is your baby and know you want to suspend drivers for their actions! Wasn't long ago you told the drivers to have at it and know when they do this is your answer!!! Kevin Harvick intentionly wrecked to stay in the chase! Didn't see him really Trevor was a good fender a head of him when Harvick took him out!!! Joey spins out Matt but your call was that was just racing!! This week Brad wrecks Kenseth your response was nothing but when Matt gets into Joey you want to suspend him!!!! What did you think was going to happen in a playoff system when there is only a few racing for a championship and there is 42 cars on the track!!!! All your changes in your format and your desire to have a playoff has come down to this!!! That's why the seats keep getting emptier and a smaller tv audience! Go buy you a team in the NBA or Major League Baseball if a playoff is what you want! In other professional sports the teams that didn't make the playoffs are not still out there competing!! What if one of the non playoff team blows a tire and takes out 2 or 3 of your playoff teams and they lose so many points they can't catch up what away for a championship to be decided!!!!! You (NASCAR) have ruined a sport that I truly enjoyed!!!! If you want me back in the stands go back to the NASCAR that for years I truly enjoyed! Give me the old format!!!!!
Keep going NASCAR and eventually your fan base will be three people in the stands and watching the two cars that you have deemed worthy of racing for the championship. I watched Carl Edwards punt Keslowski to teach him some driving manners. I watched Dale Jarrett lay in wait to drive Dale Earnhardt into the wall at Bristol to teach him something about retaliation and you know what, it worked. And why doesn't NASCAR just award the victory to Logano? We all know that they are good at awarding things. Then, why didn't NASCAR punish Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards and Denny Hamilin for being team mates to Kennseth? We know they are good at punishing the whole organization for one drivers action. They have proven that. NASCAR's numbers aren't dwindling due to the economy as claimed. It's because the fan base has absorbed all the taste of horse shit that they can stand. The NASCAR hierarchy was blessed with no balls to tote around and they have a hard time dealing with those who have some.
I think Joey should be penalized,also. After all it started with his actions. How about the others should they go back and take points from them, like the did Dancia?
I remember a couple of years ago that Kyle Busch was suspended 3 races for intentionally ramming another driver in the truck series. This is no different.
Gordon can take out Bowyer and others at Phoenix, lose points, pay fine and get put on suspension but Kennesth is suspended? Not equal treatment under the big tent of NASCAR, no surprise there. Penske's boys better remember that there are other Toyota drivers out there that have nothing to lose in the chase. Matt should have just spun him out and block his ability to get restarted until the whole pack had gone by one or 2 laps down would have put him out of contention just as easily and them Matt could have done it again for the next 2 races.
