My husband and I think Ken is doing a great job. We vote for him to...keep on doin it!!!
brenda roy - 5 years ago
The worst ever....no intonation in his voice...and still the attitude....Listening to paint dry would be more enjoyable....while no one will ever replace Alex, he sure doesn't even come close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kate - 5 years ago
I hope,I wish and I pray that this is the last we see of Ken Jennings. He is all ego and ZERO personality. I think it would be an insult to Alex's memory to make him the permanent host. Alex was like a beloved next door neighbor. Jennings thinks he knows everything and I think he loves to let everyone know that off the air. I love the idea of having guest hosts and I think that they should keep that going until they find a permanent (NOT JENNINGS) host
Bev King - 5 years ago
I can’t wait till it’s someone else’s turn to host. Ken Jennings is in too much of a hurry. My impression is he is too into himself. He’s all ego and and self centered. If he becomes the final choice that will be the end of the game for me.
Looking forward to see how the others do. I would love to see Austin Rogers give it a go. He was great as a contestant. Who knows he could turn out to be perfect. I just hope Ken doesn’t get I.
Debbie mcpeck - 5 years ago
Who would have thought he was such a natural to follow the best of the best . I think it would be detrimental to replace this brilliant guest host with more familiar celebrity hosts when millions of Jeaopary followers connect with Ken as someone just like them .
Nina Sarraga - 5 years ago
My opinion Ken has no personality.
B.Walsh - 5 years ago
My husband and I always have watched jeopardy, and we really
Like Ken Jennings. The days he isn't hosting , we will not be watching. Please keep him!!!
Arden Lindsay - 5 years ago
I watched Jeopardy as a child back in the 60's with Art Fleming I was hooked. Years later on it's return when Alex Trebek became host. I was reserved, but gave him a chance. Hence a legacy was started.
Ken Jennings is doing a great job as host...I feel he will grow with time and only improve as time moves on. Look how Alex advanced over 30+ years, 1980's - 2020. R.I.P. Alex "Jeopardy" is in good hands.
Judy - 5 years ago
I don't like Jennings as a host! He doesn't have the personality or charm that Alex had. I think you need someone with a sparkling personality and a few jokes up their sleeve to keep my interest. I'm thinking if he's made permanent host I will probably stop tuning in and that makes me sad.
Rita - 5 years ago
Please keep Ken Jennings as the permanent Jeopardy host. He is a natural at this, and a very genuine caring host
April Brumfield - 5 years ago
Please keep Ken! He’s wonderful and has a great sense of timing, cleverness, witty banter and overall pleasantness. He’s sincere and brings a fresh perspective vs a celebrity takeover. We love him!!
Kevin - 5 years ago
Keep Jennings, you will see a drop in ratings. People including myself and friends will refuse to watch biased liberal hacks such as Anderson Snow , Katie Couric etc screw up a good show. BYE BYE Jeopardy if the hoat
roy hall - 5 years ago
leave Ken in if he wants it. After all, Alex had a hand in choosing him to start with. The ratings will plummet if you put those jerkoffs on instead.
Elaine Cox - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings has a direct tie to Alex Trebek. He is the one that should stay permanently as host. He interfaces well with the contestants, has a bit of a self deprecating humor that is good for intelligent people to have, and he knows how the show is supposed to be hosted. I believe you will lose quite a bit of audience if you put Katie Couric or Anderson Cooper on. Once people get out of the habit of watching it may be difficult for them to get back into the habit. I know for one I would not watch even if it was for a whole month at a time if either of the above mentioned people are hosts and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone. Keep Ken!!!
Matt - 5 years ago
Ken comes off as condescending, takes too long responding to people’s wrong answers or explaining right ones, lacks Alex’s ability to connect to contestants on anything beyond being on jeopardy. I don’t like his voice. I think the fact that he IS a champion takes away from the host position. Alex was smart but still came off like he was presenting questions to contestants rather than quizzing them. I don’t think the other guest hosts will be that great either but we will see. I’ve watched Jeopardy my whole life and Ken hosting is the only thing that makes me not want to watch it. It’s just not enjoyable.
susan dzik - 5 years ago
I think Ken Jennings is doing a fantastic and very terrific job as the guest host.
I am willing of course to others but I feel he has what it takes to continue to the job with grace and respect.
I am a big fan of Jeopardy but I do have an open mind.
I try not to miss any of the shows and try to be very fair.

Elizabeth McCormick - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings is the one. I think he is the one he is doing a super job and I like how he thanks Alex after each show. The perfect choice.
Becky H. - 5 years ago
While I consider myself one of Jeopardy!’s top fans, I may fade away if all of the contenders are allowed airtime. You have a perfect gem in Ken Jennings! He has stolen the hearts of many fans who watched “BKJ” (before Ken Jennings) and brought many more fans to watch since then. Since his first week of guest hosting, he has become so comfortable as host. A little improvement may be needed in his interviewing the contestants but let’s face it, he’s still new at this. As it became evident that Alex Trebek was becoming more ill, it was my hope the baton would be passed to Ken as a permanent host. If Ken Jennings is interest in becoming the next host of Jeopardy!, he certainly has my vote, attention and loyalty! In the meantime, remove Couric, Bailik, Cooper, Gupta, Oz and Guthrie.
Jan Davie - 5 years ago
Ken has done an incredible job of filling the shoes of Alex Trebec.
Mainly because Ken has been part of the show’s amazing history & his presence feels like a natural transition after losing our Alex. Please do not disrupt this transition with an unrelated personality who will look & feel like a “stick-on” decal to the best game show ever. True death to Jeopardy will be to select a host who’s known only for their political commentary. Please know I’ll never watch if Anderson Cooper , Katie Couric are selected.
Wil - 5 years ago
I think Ken Jennings is okay as host, but he just doesn't have the gravitas I want in a host.
Other commenters seem to think the choice is between Ken and the other guest hosts. I find it unlikely that most of the other hosts are being considered or even interested. I wouldn't want any of them either. Maybe someone like Neil deGrasse Tyson? I'm not sure who would fit the bill.
I like Ken Jennings but as a host he is not even a close second GOAT.
Brenda Haning - 5 years ago
Keep Ken Jennings. He has been great and the only one who can come close to filling Alex’s shoes. No one can do that but he is really good. I will not watch it when Katie Couric or Anderson Cooper are on. Don’t like either one of them. I might not watch the others either. Aaron Rogers needs to stick to sports. Dr. oz needs to stick to medicine. Wasting time and losing viewers filling in with anyone other than Ken Jennings.
Debra - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings should be picked as Alex’s replacement. Period. The end. He hasn’t skipped a beat since he took over. This is an incredibly difficult hosting gig but he has taken to it like a duck to water. Katie and Savannah!!! C’mon really!! Interested to see how Mike Richards fares. Dr. Oz OMG no way!! And Mayim? No words. My money is on Ken as permanent host. Fingers crossed. RIP Alex.
Sweetpea - 5 years ago
Ken is the one. Skip the rest. Ken is doing a great, great job. I’m gonna skip watching the rest. Further, if you do go through them all and choose someone other than Ken Jennings, I may not watch Jeopardy again.
Linda - 5 years ago
Why waste time going through a bunch of guest hosts that have no connection to Jeopardy whatsoever? Ken is a natural - he’s champion for one thing, but more important, he has a history with Alex. His respect and admiration for him is obvious, and that is how the spirit of Alex will live on at the show. I am not going to enjoy the parade of other guest hosts. To me it cheapens the meaning of what Alex brought to the show.
Jennifer Jacobsen - 5 years ago
Keep Ken Jennings please! He is doing awesome! No other hosts needed.
Mp - 5 years ago
Jeopardy is a very serious brainiac show and should remain that way. i feel that some of the suggested guest hosts would turn it more into an entertainment platform. I can't think of anyone besides Ken Jennings that could even come close to filling Alex's shoes.
Cindy - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings has been our family favorite since he first became champion. We have watched every championship he has been in. I dislike Katie Couric. I can’t imagine Dr. Oz and some of the others having the dry wit and intelligence necessary to host the show. Anderson Cooper is another favorite so I can’t wait to see how he does. But Ken Jennings gets my vote for permanent host. He has really grown into the role in the past few weeks. His ratings have been high and people like him.
Donald E Simonsen - 5 years ago
He is personable, witty, and appears quite comfortable. The main thing though, is we know he how knowledgeable he is.
Donna Pirog - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings is great! Don’t mess with a good thing.
S Evans - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings had done a wonderful job hosting Jeopardy. He has grown into the roll as weeks have gone by. How difficult it must have been for him to step into that roll. It would be a shame to fill the roll of host with a Hollywood personality that would put the spotlight on the host rather than the contestants. I will not watch Anderson Cooper or Katie Couric or any other news reporter that will bring a political agenda to the show. Many of us have been faithful Jeopardy watchers for over 30 years and we don't want to see the show ruined by the wrong host.
C Niles - 5 years ago
Ken has done a wonderful job. Don’t ruin the show by using your line up of guest hosts.
Judy Dow - 5 years ago
I think Ken is doing an ok job but would gave liked to see both Brad and James given an opportunity to host.
I’m not the least bit interested in the selection of guest hosts that gave been announced. It will be interesting to see how Mike Richards dies.
I have watched Jeopardy for many years even before Alex was the host. It is a favorite and I watch every episode. I think the list if guest hosts coming up will be detrimental to the faithful audience.
Gail - 5 years ago
I think Ken Jennings is a logical choice for the permanent role of host of jeopardy, however, he does lack some of the grace that we were used to seeing when participants make wrong answers. At times he comes off a little condescending. The other Guest hosts that are on the list are an interesting assortment. I definitely think you are going to lose viewership with a few of them because they don’t fit the mold of what people have come to expect of a Jeopardy host. That said I plan to watch each of them for at least a few episodes to give them a fair judgment.
Carol Burkert - 5 years ago
I think Ken Jennings has the same demeanor as Alex. He is probably the most intelligent host you will have and he has done a great job. I would not watch anyone who tries to make a comedy out of the show, nor will I watch anyone who has a political agenda. The theme of the show is knowledge and I would hate to have that compromised. I really hope you choose Ken as the permanent host.
Linda Messenger - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings has been an outstanding host; however, for many of the others, such as Katie Couric and Anderson Cooper, I will NOT be watching whatsoever--not even when they are trying to host. Where is James Holtzhauer? Why isn't he being given an opportunity? He is my favorite ever!!
Robb Williamson - 5 years ago
Ken was not awful but I did not see him as commanding enough to keep Jeopardy from losing some of its appeal. I anxious to see how others handle the job. Keep looking for Alex's replacement. I like the guest host idea.
Carla Nicholson - 5 years ago
I had my doubts about Ken Jennings at first. I never did warm up to him as a contestant, but I have come to love him as host. In the short time he has hosted he gets better with each passing show. He definitely deserves the job. I am sure Alex would approve. DR OZ??? Are you kidding me??? Watch ratings go down as you continue with these unqualified “hosts”. You have to know in your heart Ken is the ONLY appropriate choice and Alex would agree completely. Honor Alex’s memory and please keep Ken.
Faith Coleman - 5 years ago
Ken has done a great job
.his humility as to honoring Alex memory rather than to replace him is very humbling. Think he is /will be an asset to jeopardy. Have a regular viewer for many years.
Betty Peerenboom - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings is THE ONE!!
Reading the list of those scheduled to host next, all I can do is groan. I'll try, but doubt that I'll care much about watching until KJ has the job permanently. PLEASE!!
Lorna Pantalone - 5 years ago
I think Ken Jennings is okay but I also believe he can be little but overbearing with his responses to the contestants when they are wrong with their response, something Alex never did and he was very intelligent but new his place as host. Something Ken needs to learn. He spends a lot of time on pointing out the $$$ as well. I personally fine he needs to be more in touch with why he is hosting and less time using his intellect as a contestant. He doesn't seem to have a grasp on gentleness with the word NO, he is very hard with that word when it is a wrong response by a contestant, something that Alex was not. I know he is not Alex as there will never be another like him but Alex made contestants feel welcome and at home in the studio and a friend, something Ken Jennings personality does not lend itself too. Just my opinion. Even we at home felt like we were all friends to Alex Trebek and we were happy to see him every night. Not so with Ken Jennings.
Barbara Walters - 5 years ago
Ken has done a outstanding job as host. To replace him with interim hosts and hostesses is to give the show a impermanent status without any cohesiveness. I especially will definitely not watch when Katie Couric and Anderson Cooper are on. Please off the job to Ken as he also had much respect for Alex and I do think that is what Alex would have wanted.
Lecretia Jennings - 5 years ago
No one can replace Alex. But. Ken Jennings is doing a great job. I prefer him to all the others in the line up.
Audrey Mellinger Thomas - 5 years ago
Can't see any of the named candidates for this program, especially Katie Couric.
B C - 5 years ago
I don't want Katie Couric on Jeopardy with some of the inappropriate remarks she has made.
I will NOT watch her!!
Patti - 5 years ago
Please give serious thought to eliminating this parade of guest hosts. I feel that these high profile guests hosts will change the entire culture of Jeopardy. In addition, they are aligned with other programs. Ken Jennings has an honest bearing on Jeopardy, and we don't need celebrity hosts to dilute the worth of America's favorite game show. Just keep Ken Jennings and get on with it.
Janet Dow - 5 years ago
There is no need to look any further for a Jeopardy host. Ken Jennings should become the permanent host. Ken has the personal connection to the show that is needed. He is doing a fantastic job and genuinely seems to be enjoying the hosting. He is articulate, smooth, and has mannerisms similar to Alex. Ken is an extremely likeable personality. My husband and I can't imagine anyone else becoming host of Jeopardy than Ken Jennings, and I think Alex Trebak would be happy in that choice, too. Please don't have an endless string of celebrities guest hosting--it will lose viewers . Most of us Jeopardy fans love Ken Jennings and his history with the show. It just feels right.
Anita Hensley - 5 years ago
We have watched Jeopardy every night since the beginning of Alex’s reign. Ken Jennings seems to be a natural. We were very impressed with his first show and continue to be. Both my husband and myself feel it’s crazy to have a parade of people auditioning. Myiam Bialik (sp?) would be our last choice! This is not a position for comedian!
We say just sign Ken and be done with it!
Mary A. Mackey - 5 years ago
I either don't care for any of the other possible guests, or I can't see them in this position. Such a waste of time to go through them all. Jennings "fits".
I totally agree the previous comment that Jeopardy will be ruined if they keep having guest hosts. It definitely will turn into a celebrity show instead of the intellectual show Alex loved. I was looking toward maybe up to three guests that had the potential to follow Alex's persona which none of the celebrities have.
Benita - 5 years ago
Keep Ken Jennings, He's doing a perfect job, I simply loved Alex ,no one will ever top him. You shouldn't even bother to try any of the other people in line.
carolyn anderson - 5 years ago
i think jennings is as good as it gets. as much as i enjoy this game and have watched it faithfully, i would intentionally turn it off when some of your other "choice" hosts come on.
Jeff - 5 years ago
I believe that Ken Jennings has shown poise, humility, and charisma in the same way as Alex. He engages the contestants in a kind way and allows the contestants to be the center of attention. Ken is perfect for the job.
Jeanne - 5 years ago
Both my husband and I are pleasantly surprised with Ken Jennings hosting Jeopardy. He has exactly what the producers are looking for and he truly enjoys being (guest) host on Jeopardy. We're pretty sure Alex is looking down on Ken telling him "Good job...Good for you"!
Ken Jennings has done a fabulous job and he is at the top of my list for permanent host, but it's a list of one. The position deserves to hear and see all guest hosts, and then choose the one who does the most justice to Alex. I have been watching Alex since Jeopardy began and although Ken acts and even sounds like Alex (sense of humor and congeniality) I am open to change and would like to see all guest hosts. If Ken is chosen, I will be delighted!
Ann Stivers - 5 years ago
I believe that Ken Jennings has shown poise, humility, and charisma in the same way as Alex. He engages thge contestants in a kind way and allows the contestants to be the center of attention. Ken is perfect for the job. I actually don't want to see Dr. Oz or Mayim or anyone else! I do not really care for Mayim anyway.
Michelle Immler - 5 years ago
Upon learning that Alex Trebeck had prostate cancer, I mentioned that when he passes, Ken Jennings would be a wonderful replacement. He is calm, unpretentious, well-spoken, kind, and knowledgeable.
I do hope he accepts this position if offered.
Becky Wayman - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings has the love for this show and the intellect to be a genuine ‘people’s’ host. He’s done a great job so far. The news anchors on the list have been politically polarizing at times, something Jeopardy has refreshingly never been. I will watch those who are guest hosting with an open mind.
chrissy - 5 years ago
No one could ever replace Alex, but Ken did an excellent job. He is not an actor or celebrity , he was just a contestant on a few game shows and proved his superb intelligence. He is also an excellent reader and can pronounce any word without difficulty. He's fit for the job and to me has proven himself of that. I can't see any of the other hosts as a regular and especially watching a female host wouldn't fit the part in my opinion. I say leave the other try-out host's where they are and hire Ken. Ken's demeanor is so perfect and I know Alex would totally agree!
Myrtle Richardson - 5 years ago
Why do u want to make such a stupid move and have someone to host the jeopardy show that is out only out for a political move or focus on themselves and not Alex's beloved show is beyond me. I love the show. Of course Alex and only Alex made the show special. Ken Jennings is the best one to give respect to Alex and has nothing on his agenda as the other upcoming people have, keep Ken as host while u can. U would be lucky to have him. WAKE UP PEOPLE!
Deborah A Lowry - 5 years ago
I believe Ken Jennings will continue to honor Alex Trebek memories if he becomes the next host of Jeopardy. Also, I believe Alex would have chosen Ken, even with his faults. Jeopardy has always been a game of intellect challenge. I would be disappointed if it became anything less and a new host made a mockery out of Jeopardy. Let's honor Alex Trebek as the greatest, all time host in game show history with someone who will be worthy of replacing him.
Gloria Jean Fritts - 5 years ago
I was a little disappointed when I heard that Ken Jennings was to be the first one to take on the job of Alex and he is doing great. I have heard so many say how much they liked him being the hoast and I agree. I do hope you don't try any of the ladies for this job. I don't think most people would like that at all. I don't think most would except Anderson Cooper, Savannah Guthrie, Dr. Oz or Katie Couric. They might except James Holtzhaue if Ken doesn't want to stay where he is. Of course he must have a trial period.
Janet Becher - 5 years ago
Please, please keep Ken Jennings on as the new host of Jeopardy. He has stepped in splendidly.
He has a lot of Alex’s prime characteristics.
I also do not want a parade of guest hosts parading through. They have great qualities for their present jobs but I, for one, do not want to watch Aaron Rodgers stumble through even one episode (and I am a Packer fan).
I wouldn’t want a new host to come in who would turn me off Jeopardy. Not after being a lifetime fan. Jennings is a smooth transition.

I hope they pick Katie Couric just to alienate the idiots screeching about her on this page.
Oh, how I'd laugh and laugh.
Trebek was anti-Trump - 5 years ago
It's true. You right wingers think Trebek was on your side but he thought your president was a buffoon.

It would be nice to give Lavar Burton a shot at hosting. He did great with Reading Rainbow!
"Ultra lib" - 5 years ago
Every major corporation has embraced inclusivity and Jeopardy is no exception. If your fans are conservative, it's time to hire one of the "ultra libs" and drive them away. Advertisers don't want to be associated with right wing bigots.
Seriously? - 5 years ago
The number of people with their minds made up before even seeing any other guest host is ridiculous. Jeopardy should hire ANYONE BUT Ken Jennings and jettison the closed-minded "fans" in favor of a new, more open-minded audience.
Jeanne Chase - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings has done a superb job! Please do not lose him! Please make him the permanent host of Jeopardy! We have watched Jeopardy for years and our love for the game with Alex made us a nightly fan. Just as the seamless and remarkable return to the game of Ken Jennings to become our nightly joy of setting every night aside to watch Jeopardy has continued because he is THAT good. Ken, as Alex mentored, has a genuine feel for the contestants, has a command of the board and the marvelous articulation of the questions and categories, and the audience feels very comfortable with the baton handed to him by Alex and he has shown that he can run this race and do so in remarkable fashion. Please do not shift the listening audience to someone else. That would really be hard to take. Too much in this world is fractionalized. Please keep Jeopardy on sound footing with Ken Jennings as the Permanent Host. Sincerely, Jeanne S. Chase, Charlottesville, VA
Theresa - 5 years ago
No need to look any further - Ken has done a wonderful job at hosting Jeopardy - it seems like he has had an easy transition into the position - very big shoes to fill and doing it well ...Ken you have my vote - not looking forward to seeing any of the others listed as guest host ....
Shaheen - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings has done a fantastic job hosting Jeopardy! He is a natural, witty and very respectful. I would love to see him as Alex Trebek’s replacement. I think Alex would have approved this too!
Diane McGregof - 5 years ago
If Katie Couric hosts this I will NEVER watch Jeopardy again. Love Ken Jennings.
Kate - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings has done a wonderful job. The purpose of a host is to let the contestants shine. Ken does just that. I started watching with Art Fleming. I, like others, will not be watching the other guest hosts. It’s not about celebrities but contestants that have studied hard.
Mario Cruz - 5 years ago
As Ken Jennings himself said, no one will/ can replace Alex, and that's true. But Ken has shown very clearly over the weeks he's hosted, that he can host the show in a very similar way that Alex did. He ought to be the permanent replacement host.
Trish Smith - 5 years ago
My husband and I have watched and enjoyed Jeopardy for many years. Mourn Alex's passing , but feel comfort with Ken Jennings as he truly loves and respects Alex. I won't watch the many guest hosts as I feel u have your replacement in Ken Jennings. Please honor Ales with Ken as his permanent replacement.
Joan - 5 years ago
Ken would definitely be my choice. He has very much the same demeanor as Alex which makes him a
good fit. As the saying goes, "If it's not broken..." I don't watch Jeopardy to be entertained
by some well-known TV or movie star. In Jeopardy, the game is the entertainment. An "entertainer" would be
a distraction and IMO, a turn off.
Diane - 5 years ago
Look no further. Ken has certainly proved himself and is doing a wonderful job. I will continue to watch Jeopardy if Ken Jennings is the permanent host.
Carolyn L Montigue - 5 years ago
I think Ken Jennings is doing a fantastic job as host and would like to see him stay on permanent. I'm not interested in any of the other hosts. No political agenda as that would be the demise of Jeopardy in my book. We need a host without the politics.
Maury Enright - 5 years ago
Ken began well and continues to improve! He presents a good appearance and is appropriately cordial with the contestants. I would be happy to see him continue as host. Neither he nor anyone else can replace Alex, of course, but Ken is capable of establishing a place of his own to keep Jeopardy the successful program it has been for so long. As for the "celebrities," when there were weeks of Celebrity Jeopardy, those contestants were more frivolous than serious, for the most part, and wasted too much time by making remarks. Would a "celebrity host" be any different?
Lynne Seavy - 5 years ago
I picked Ken Jennings a long time ago and he has more than proven himself to follow Alex Trebek. As he said no one can replace Alex, but I believe he has done a more than adequate job and will grow into the position. As to politics, I will boycott this show if they continue with leading liberal commentators. I am disgusted with what the producers of this show are doing and would Merv Griffin approve? A disgusted viewer. Lynne
Morris Meyer - 5 years ago
I think Jennings has done a good job. Any of those ultra libs host and I'm done with Jeopardy. I will not support them
M Hawk - 5 years ago
I was skeptical at first, but Ken has settled in nicely and has become a great host. I encourage you to keep him on as a permanent host. I do understand the need to have other guest hosts prior to making a final decision but I do not agree with choosing so many who have a political agenda, regardless of which way they lean. If I want to hear about politics I'll watch the news, not Jeopardy. Ken would make an excellent choice and I feel sure Alex would agree.
Barb Moss - 5 years ago
Ken is an asset to the program and I would not object to him taking the wheel. However it is only favor to see how the others do. I agree though that there should be no political agendas.
Fred Joslin - 5 years ago
Keep Ken. I didn’t care for him as a contestant but he is doing an excellent job as host. He relates to the contestants, responds warmly to them consistently during the interview portion (actually better than Alex) and comes across as credible and sincere.
Anne Rinke - 5 years ago
The trouble is, Ken is not Alex. How to follow that class act, and do it perfectly in 6 weeks! Whoever replaces the GOAT of game show hosts will bring his own spin. But please! No politicos! Someone humble, kind and funny, from the Jeopardy production team.
Rhonda - 5 years ago
I have been a fan of Jeopardy for 30 years or so. I have been reading a lot of these comments and the people saying they will not watch when the other hosts are on, I believe, are liars and not true Jeopardy fans. I watch Jeopardy for the contestants, who will win or lose or continue on, the questions (or answers), and to see if I can get any right. I seem to learn from the show. The host is the person that reads the answer to the contestant period! Granted, no one will ever replace Alex Trebek but I don't care for Ken because he seems to be, like some have commented, a know-it-all, a little arrogant, and full of himself. If you have ever watched him on the game show "Master Minds" you will know what I'm talking about. And I don't like his voice or maybe it's his lisp, plus he's too nerdy looking. I am looking forward to the other hosts. To see how well they'll read the answers to the contestants. Some of them may not do so well but we'll never know until they appear on the show. The person I think will do a good job is Mike Richards. He has the voice and experience as a host. He has been the host of the show "Divided" and currently "Pyramid" both on GSN. He does a great job!! I would also like to see Brad Rutter as host. I'm really looking forward to Aaron Rodgers only because he's so good looking. No matter who becomes the host of Jeopardy, I will continue to watch because I AM A FOREVER FAN thanks to Alex Trebek. I will forever miss him and I love the show that he loved. So all the people who say they won't watch because of someone they don't like are not true Jeopardy fans. Thanks for letting me vent!!!
Barbara Magnus - 5 years ago
I feel that Ken Jennings has what it takes to keep Jeopardy going. Noone can replace Alex Trebec, but I feel he has the necessary respect for the show.
P Lewis - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings has a raspy voice and too short for this position.
I watched him as a contestant and is certainly a very smart man.
But not smart enough to hold his personal position of Baron Trump and to insult a child. NO one who is inconsiderate enough to make those remarks deserves the position of honorable Alex Trebek.
There has to be candidates for this wonderful educational show out there who have not made political statements.
I stopped watching Jeopardy a few nights after Ken started and with the line up of candidates coming up will probably won't be watching it for a long while.
Tom - 5 years ago
I think Ken Jennings is doing a fabulous job and should be the permanent host without question.
I guarantee I won't watch at all if/when Anderson Cooper guest hosts!
Kathleen - 5 years ago
Like so many others have said, Ken Jennings is the most logical replacement. The guest hosts are either liked or disliked by the fans and won't watch the show when they are on. Ken seems excited when a participant gets the answer right or bets big, he can associate with them. The only other person to consider would be Brad Rudder, another great contestant.
Helen - 5 years ago
I do not feel that Jennings is the right person for this job. He doesn't strike me as a sincere person. I feel like this position should be filled by someone who isn't known like the other hosts being asked to step in until a permanent person is found. That someone should be someone totally new that will grow into the position. My suggestion is Jeremy Hubbard,a newscaster, with Fox News.
Joan Murdock - 5 years ago
Ken Jennings is doing a fantastic job , he shows professionalism, knowledge and has an ease with the contestants. Why would you want to put a host that might make this a comic routine, or have no knowledge of the game into that position.
Madeline - 5 years ago
I think Ken is doing a great job and would like to see him become Alex’s replacement
Emmy Bonja - 5 years ago
I simply cannot see anyone else in the position except Ken. He has the personality, qualities, and intelligence to do it, while honoring Alex Trebek. I would enjoy the show with Ken at the helm.
Kay Kerrigan - 5 years ago
Ken is not perfect but, I can watch him. Refuse to watch your upcoming hosts. After watching Jeopardy since Alex first hosted I will stop watching after Ken.
Annetta - 5 years ago
I think Mr. Jennings is doing a very good job as host. I will continue to watch Jeopardy as long as he is there. Some of the other "guest" hosts, I feel, would be more into their own agendas than allowing the players to be the "stars of Jeopardy" as Alex stressed the many years he was in leadership. My vote is for Mr. Ken Jennings ????

I agree with many others that most of those listed have a political agenda they will promote.
I am happy that Ken Jennings has kept the same feel of the show as Alex did. It's about the contestants not the host.
Trez Boulware - 5 years ago
When Anderson Cooper is on there I will not watch! He is a left wing know it all.
Fred Dunlap - 5 years ago
I have watched Jeopardy for a very long time (I am 84) and I believe Ken Jennings should be the permanent host. He is doing well and will only continue to get better. Many of the suggested replacements would be short term and lack the commitment for the job. Those who are political are not trustworthy such as Cooper, Guthrie, Couric, I will not watch them, they may entertain but will be sneaking in their views that have turned more then half of the country. Why waste months that people will be turning the show off, and maybe won’t return. You have a winner with Ken, and I believe that is who Alex would want as his replacement
Nancy Rogers - 5 years ago
Ken's doing a very good job and improving every episode. He was obviously nervous at the beginning but has relaxed more and more, showing humor and interest in the contestants. He knows what it's like to be in the stressful role of contestant, which none of the other guest hosts know (or even Alex Trebek knew). It would be interesting to see Brad Rutter have a chance (if he was interested). Don't think James would be a good "fit".

My husband and I think Ken is doing a great job. We vote for him to...keep on doin it!!!
The worst ever....no intonation in his voice...and still the attitude....Listening to paint dry would be more enjoyable....while no one will ever replace Alex, he sure doesn't even come close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who would have thought he was such a natural to follow the best of the best . I think it would be detrimental to replace this brilliant guest host with more familiar celebrity hosts when millions of Jeaopary followers connect with Ken as someone just like them .
My opinion Ken has no personality.
My husband and I always have watched jeopardy, and we really
Like Ken Jennings. The days he isn't hosting , we will not be watching. Please keep him!!!
I don't like Jennings as a host! He doesn't have the personality or charm that Alex had. I think you need someone with a sparkling personality and a few jokes up their sleeve to keep my interest. I'm thinking if he's made permanent host I will probably stop tuning in and that makes me sad.
Please keep Ken Jennings as the permanent Jeopardy host. He is a natural at this, and a very genuine caring host
Please keep Ken! He’s wonderful and has a great sense of timing, cleverness, witty banter and overall pleasantness. He’s sincere and brings a fresh perspective vs a celebrity takeover. We love him!!
Keep Jennings, you will see a drop in ratings. People including myself and friends will refuse to watch biased liberal hacks such as Anderson Snow , Katie Couric etc screw up a good show. BYE BYE Jeopardy if the hoat
leave Ken in if he wants it. After all, Alex had a hand in choosing him to start with. The ratings will plummet if you put those jerkoffs on instead.
Keep Ken!!!
Susan Dzik
Ken Jennings is the one. I think he is the one he is doing a super job and I like how he thanks Alex after each show. The perfect choice.
RIP Alex.
Ken is the one. Skip the rest. Ken is doing a great, great job. I’m gonna skip watching the rest. Further, if you do go through them all and choose someone other than Ken Jennings, I may not watch Jeopardy again.
Keep Ken Jennings please! He is doing awesome! No other hosts needed.
Jeopardy is a very serious brainiac show and should remain that way. i feel that some of the suggested guest hosts would turn it more into an entertainment platform. I can't think of anyone besides Ken Jennings that could even come close to filling Alex's shoes.
He is personable, witty, and appears quite comfortable. The main thing though, is we know he how knowledgeable he is.
Ken Jennings is great! Don’t mess with a good thing.
Ken has done a wonderful job. Don’t ruin the show by using your line up of guest hosts.
Ken was not awful but I did not see him as commanding enough to keep Jeopardy from losing some of its appeal. I anxious to see how others handle the job. Keep looking for Alex's replacement. I like the guest host idea.
Ken has done a great job
.his humility as to honoring Alex memory rather than to replace him is very humbling. Think he is /will be an asset to jeopardy. Have a regular viewer for many years.
Ken Jennings is THE ONE!!
Reading the list of those scheduled to host next, all I can do is groan. I'll try, but doubt that I'll care much about watching until KJ has the job permanently. PLEASE!!
No one can replace Alex. But. Ken Jennings is doing a great job. I prefer him to all the others in the line up.
Can't see any of the named candidates for this program, especially Katie Couric.
I don't want Katie Couric on Jeopardy with some of the inappropriate remarks she has made.
I will NOT watch her!!
Keep Ken Jennings, He's doing a perfect job, I simply loved Alex ,no one will ever top him. You shouldn't even bother to try any of the other people in line.
i think jennings is as good as it gets. as much as i enjoy this game and have watched it faithfully, i would intentionally turn it off when some of your other "choice" hosts come on.
I believe that Ken Jennings has shown poise, humility, and charisma in the same way as Alex. He engages the contestants in a kind way and allows the contestants to be the center of attention. Ken is perfect for the job.
Both my husband and I are pleasantly surprised with Ken Jennings hosting Jeopardy. He has exactly what the producers are looking for and he truly enjoys being (guest) host on Jeopardy. We're pretty sure Alex is looking down on Ken telling him "Good job...Good for you"!
https://twitter.com/KenJennings/status/814269306301075456?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E814269306301075456%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fmynorthwest.com%2F501528%2Fken-jennings-shockingly-unhinged-violent-anti-trump-tweets%2F%3F
Upon learning that Alex Trebeck had prostate cancer, I mentioned that when he passes, Ken Jennings would be a wonderful replacement. He is calm, unpretentious, well-spoken, kind, and knowledgeable.
I do hope he accepts this position if offered.
Ken Jennings has the love for this show and the intellect to be a genuine ‘people’s’ host. He’s done a great job so far. The news anchors on the list have been politically polarizing at times, something Jeopardy has refreshingly never been. I will watch those who are guest hosting with an open mind.
It's true. You right wingers think Trebek was on your side but he thought your president was a buffoon.
It would be nice to give Lavar Burton a shot at hosting. He did great with Reading Rainbow!
Every major corporation has embraced inclusivity and Jeopardy is no exception. If your fans are conservative, it's time to hire one of the "ultra libs" and drive them away. Advertisers don't want to be associated with right wing bigots.
The number of people with their minds made up before even seeing any other guest host is ridiculous. Jeopardy should hire ANYONE BUT Ken Jennings and jettison the closed-minded "fans" in favor of a new, more open-minded audience.
No need to look any further - Ken has done a wonderful job at hosting Jeopardy - it seems like he has had an easy transition into the position - very big shoes to fill and doing it well ...Ken you have my vote - not looking forward to seeing any of the others listed as guest host ....
Ken Jennings has done a fantastic job hosting Jeopardy! He is a natural, witty and very respectful. I would love to see him as Alex Trebek’s replacement. I think Alex would have approved this too!
If Katie Couric hosts this I will NEVER watch Jeopardy again. Love Ken Jennings.
Ken Jennings has done a wonderful job. The purpose of a host is to let the contestants shine. Ken does just that. I started watching with Art Fleming. I, like others, will not be watching the other guest hosts. It’s not about celebrities but contestants that have studied hard.
As Ken Jennings himself said, no one will/ can replace Alex, and that's true. But Ken has shown very clearly over the weeks he's hosted, that he can host the show in a very similar way that Alex did. He ought to be the permanent replacement host.
Look no further. Ken has certainly proved himself and is doing a wonderful job. I will continue to watch Jeopardy if Ken Jennings is the permanent host.
I think Ken Jennings is doing a fantastic job as host and would like to see him stay on permanent. I'm not interested in any of the other hosts. No political agenda as that would be the demise of Jeopardy in my book. We need a host without the politics.
I picked Ken Jennings a long time ago and he has more than proven himself to follow Alex Trebek. As he said no one can replace Alex, but I believe he has done a more than adequate job and will grow into the position. As to politics, I will boycott this show if they continue with leading liberal commentators. I am disgusted with what the producers of this show are doing and would Merv Griffin approve? A disgusted viewer. Lynne
I think Jennings has done a good job. Any of those ultra libs host and I'm done with Jeopardy. I will not support them
I was skeptical at first, but Ken has settled in nicely and has become a great host.
Ken is an asset to the program and I would not object to him taking the wheel. However it is only favor to see how the others do. I agree though that there should be no political agendas.
Keep Ken. I didn’t care for him as a contestant but he is doing an excellent job as host. He relates to the contestants, responds warmly to them consistently during the interview portion (actually better than Alex) and comes across as credible and sincere.
The trouble is, Ken is not Alex. How to follow that class act, and do it perfectly in 6 weeks! Whoever replaces the GOAT of game show hosts will bring his own spin. But please! No politicos! Someone humble, kind and funny, from the Jeopardy production team.
I feel that Ken Jennings has what it takes to keep Jeopardy going. Noone can replace Alex Trebec, but I feel he has the necessary respect for the show.
I think Ken Jennings is doing a fabulous job and should be the permanent host without question.
I guarantee I won't watch at all if/when Anderson Cooper guest hosts!
Ken Jennings is doing a fantastic job , he shows professionalism, knowledge and has an ease with the contestants. Why would you want to put a host that might make this a comic routine, or have no knowledge of the game into that position.
I think Ken is doing a great job and would like to see him become Alex’s replacement
I simply cannot see anyone else in the position except Ken. He has the personality, qualities, and intelligence to do it, while honoring Alex Trebek. I would enjoy the show with Ken at the helm.
Ken is not perfect but, I can watch him. Refuse to watch your upcoming hosts. After watching Jeopardy since Alex first hosted I will stop watching after Ken.
When Anderson Cooper is on there I will not watch! He is a left wing know it all.
