All 50 states should have immigration laws like Arizona's. I don't know what's wrong with LA fot boycotting AZ. But they should stop, appoligize and follow AZ's example.

If you are illegally in the United States you are breaking the law. Why do you insist on condoning people who insist on taking, making me pay for their healthcare, their children's schooling, they do not pay into the system, they take jobs away from American citizens & documented workers. Stop this pillaging from American tax payers now. The State of California and County/city of Los Angeles is in dire financial stress. Arizonia can govern themselves & Constituents, their state is suffering from constant violence related to illegal crimes committed by the druggies cartels, the sex slavery, kidnapping, prostitution, and most of this is. Done by Hispanic and south Americans that are illegal. I hope California inacts these types of laws now too.

This council is an embarrassment. I live in Los Angeles and have seen first hand what illegals have done to our city (Take a look at County USC hospital on any given day, all the illegals with no insurance waiting to see a doctor). We've closed 3 hospitals, have the worst public schools in the US, highest taxes to pay for this mess and there's no end in site!....I also grew up in Tucson, have a home and family there. I know first hand what's happening to that great city. Vacant houses being taken over to deal drugs, neighborhoods being taken over with everyone looking for government hands outs and PHX, the number 1 city for kidnapping, guess who,... illegals, drug lords and thugs.....what will it take to make people realize AZ is the only place willing to stop the PC crap and fix the problems the Federal Government will not fix!.....send the Los Angeles City Council to AZ for 6 months and lets see if they feel the same way.

  • Diana - 14 years ago

L.A. needs to fix their own house first. I support Arizona. My dollars will be spent in Arizona, not L.A.

THIS POLL IS ALL FAKE WHO EVER CREATED IT IS TOTALLY AGAINST LA

I’M ALWAYS GOING TO BOYCOTT ARIZONA

  • Mark - 14 years ago

Stopping illegal immigration is a problem for the whole country. California should follow Arizona's positive example.

  • Jessie Kenny - 14 years ago

LA City Council are a bunch of morons. The city is a mess. They need to mind there one business and try to run the city of Los Angeles instead of butting into Arizona issues. All Arizona did was enforce a law that was in place. So what if you get pulled over, aren;t you suppose to carry ID anyways. The people who are complaining are the people who are breaking the law.

  • Rich - 14 years ago

Thank God that at least one state legislature/governor had the balls to do the right thing irregardless of the political correctness liberal crowd...if only Texas would do the same; would love to see the country boycott Texas. I have no hope that the liberal slime in California would ever do anything so completely rational.

    Bravo Arizona!!!

Hahn makes me for the first time in my life HAPPY I live in San Bernardino County, WHAT A LOSER!!!!!

  • Maria - 14 years ago

Send the LA council morons to Mexico since they are so in love with their people and culture blah blah. And councilwoman Hahn! is she senile? to say that Lakers fans need to take their own snacks and sack lunch if they go to Arizona to watch the game? LOL

  • ken - 14 years ago

I just moved my trailer out of storage from CA to AZ. AZ campgrounds get my money now. buycott.

  • hugh - 14 years ago

All these morons are doing is hurting Americans AND hurting the illegals.
LA is broke and is run by cowards. I look forward to BK and hope the unions bite the dust.
The mayor is an absolute egotistic chicken sh*% ass.
I am hoping this is the end of the moron era.

Los Angeles should get their own house in order before they meddle in another state's affairs. None of them can even interpret the AZ bill! Get rid of all the losers in the council! I hope AZ doesn't shut off the water supply to LA! Then what? Idiots!

  • Jessica - 14 years ago

The LA City Council is a mess. They make stupid comments about things they do not understand. Their comments show just has stupid these people are. Publicly saying you cannot travel to Arizona without a Passport or you will be 'soundly' deported or shamelessly comparing this law to Nazi Germany. How offensive! Protecting a state boarder from ILLEGAL TRESPASSERS is in NO WAY similar to the Holocaust! What is wrong with these people?

Phoenix it the #2 Kidnapping city in the WORLD! They want and have an obligation to protect their LEGAL citizens.

Are they so lazy they have not read and do not know the law passed in Arizona is Federal law? Do they not realize all Arizona did was empower law enforcement to up hold Federal law because the Feds refuse to enforce settled migration law, then Arizona will?
How is it wrong for a state government to protect their citizens from drug cartels murders, kidnappers and trespassers.

They need to shut up! They are embarrassing us and shaming themselves.

It would be nice if our representatives would stand up for us and protect us from the drug violence, murders, kidnappers, and illegal trespassers. But they are to busy making utterly stupid comments to bother getting the facts.

  • Eric - 14 years ago

It really is a shame that LA city leadership has so much self-loathing that they can't understand the need to stand up for their own country. Hats off to the citizens of AZ who have the guts to say "enough is enough" when it comes to illegal immigration. But LA city leaders are AFRAID of upsetting illegal immigrants. And they want even more of them to illegally tromp across the border into southern CA so that they can be even more afraid. Newsflash: the illegals are laughing at how easy it is to jerk your chains and make you cower in the corner.

  • Joyce Nicholson - 14 years ago

This city council should spend their time getting "their house" in order. They have bankrupted the city. I wish our state government had the balls to follow AZ. We are drowning in debt and the illegals demand more entitlements. We will plan our vacation to AZ to thank them.

As native Californians, my wife and I are sick to see what has happend to "The late great golden state"
To many liberals And to many ILLEGAL aliens..Can't wait to sell our house and get outta here!!
L.A. City council..BUTT OUT.. State and local..VOTE THEM ALL OUT!!!

  • High Desert - 14 years ago

If the LA City Council really stood behind the boycott they would refuse to accept any electric power generated in AZ or in partnership with AZ. Will they? NO! What a bunch of NAZIES.

  • Jack Eyster - 14 years ago

You people never cease to amaze me on how inept our city council truly is. I am embarrassed that I am a citizen of Los Angeles, and I will now boycott the city of Los Angeles. I might be stuck living in the city, but I will buy my gas, groceries, entertainment and everything else I can in the cities of Burbank, Glendale, or Calabasas.

  • Penny - 14 years ago

I'm boycotting Los Angeles and spending my vacation dollars in Arizona

  • Judith Christine - 14 years ago

In a city that is drowning in debt, whose schools are failing, is covered in graffiti and squalor, I find in incredulous that the city council can find extra time and money to devote to this. This is an issue that Az is struggling with and it is their business how they handle it. To try and affect another states economy is horrible. Az should refuse to do business with LA until they get rid of the most ignorant mayor in history.

  • Momma C - 14 years ago

John and Ken You are RIGHT...its time the silent Majority rise up and let their Voice be HEARD...Thank You for having the guts to Stand Up...

  • Peopeg - 14 years ago

What part of ILLEGAL does LA City Council not understand? Whar are you ALWAYS siding with ILLEGAL? Rep or Demo, does not matter anymore, KICK ALL OF THEM OUT in November!

  • American1776 - 14 years ago

Does someone need to remind the Sup. that illegal aliens don't have the RIGHT to VOTE, but AMERICANS do, and WE WILL. Just keep ignoreing the Citizens, we've had enough.

  • Victor Fuentez - 14 years ago

I just drank 3 cans of Arizona Iced Tea, and lit my L.A. Gears on fire.

  • Rick - 14 years ago

With the city budget in shambles and record unemployment, these idiots in the LA City Council are doing this? Jerks! As of today, I've got my OWN ban: I hereby boycott all businesses in LA county. If I need to pass through, I will take Janice Hahn's advice and "bring my own snacks." My boycott will be lifted the same time that the Arizona boycott is lifted.

  • Frank Carleo - 14 years ago

I am astounded that these asses have time to "boycott" another state while they do not have time to straighten out their own house. Every chance that I spend any money I try not to spend it in either the City orCounty of Los Angeles. They can all go bankrupt as far as I am concerned and it will be a step in the right direction. But, unfortunately, they are not unique in California. We really have become a "people's republic". There is way way too much government from top to bottom in this state. I am afraid that I will never see any progress to turn things around in my lifetime. That is why the first chance I get we will move out of California.

I live in Kern County and am appalled with the L.A. City Council decision. They really need to get a life.

  • luscus robbie - 14 years ago

L.A. CITY COUNCIL NEEDS TO FIX L.A. CITY. ILLEGAL ALIENS NEED TO FIX THEIR OWN CITIES IN THEIR OWN COUNTRIES.

  • Rob - 14 years ago

Where does this jackoff Hahn get her nerve. Hahn and her comrades have done all they could to bankrupt our city, now they want to go screw up Arizona! What was Arizona's crime? to ask people to obey the law, to not let the deluge of illegal aliens completely destroy their economy? to overload their schools; their emergency rooms, their water and waste systems was this what earned them this boycott? Or should the people of Arizona just take this ass whipping and like it? Should they just shrug off the murdering of their citizens, the kidnapping, the threat to their families? is this why hahn and villagrossa think they deserve this boycott.
I wish we had a city council and a governor that has the courage and common sense of the politicians in Arizona.
    GET OUT HAHN! GET OUT!

I moved to a different county several years ago, but the city council repeatedly reassures me with bone-headed actions like this, that I made the right decision. People, show up to the polls on election day and vote these clowns out of office!

  • Hector - 14 years ago

I am ashamed to be here in ca. I am going to more me and my family to AZ. they are doing the right thing and we must follow in the steps of AZ. The la counsel is acting like they are gods when they are asking the people now they need to stop the stupidity.

  • jrd - 14 years ago

I cannot believe these people consider themselves literate. If they were literate, they would have been able to read the actual law and realize how foolish their actions make LA look.

  • alfonzo - 14 years ago

L.A. is in terrible trouble, economically ,as well as socially These grandstanding JERKS are trying to have an effect on their political popularity, patronizing the Hispanic population if their constituency. Shameful cheap behavior!

  • Steve Schlesinger - 14 years ago

Seems like the city council needs to take the hard light off the fact that they are HALF A BILLION DOLLARS in debt and laying off city workers by the thousands. If you are a city worker who is laid off you should be down at city hall raising hell! GET BACK TO WORK AND FIX THE CITY!

  • JAX - 14 years ago

These people are not leaders for Americans there leaders for drug cartel and illegal aliens!
    Kick them out!

  • Stephen Carmona - 14 years ago

The LA City Council should all be tossed out of office. These are the clowns that have bankrupted the city of Los Angeles. What right do they have to comment on Arizona when they can't even do their own jobs?

  • followTheMoney - 14 years ago

What a bunch of morons. I'm glad I live in Orange County. It's great to see socialism rot from afar.

  • csw - 14 years ago

Council hasn't listened to the people the law has been broken

  • Jennifer - 14 years ago

The city council is a JOKE! They equated this to Nazi Germany?!! Are they kidding? I'm tired of them raising the rates of our DWP and doing essentially NOTHING to keep their jobs. All these people should be FIRED and REPLACED. Maybe the city will save some money. Do they know that Arizona provides us with POWER?? I am disgusted with them.
