I think that all of these charities do amazing things with different issues but thay ALL have the same agenda...to help others to live a longer and healthier life. A few of these charities a very special to me...but i voted for Sophia's Heast Foundation. Its for a great cause and is dear to my heart. Please keep doing the amazing work that you guys are doing. I wish the money could go to them all!

I know Sophia's Heart is a good foundation. You have to have faith in God and trust that there are good people in this world. Children are the future of this world they see with their heart and speak with their heart and sing with their heart. We need more foundations like Danny's to make a better place for the children of the world one step at a time. Someday the rest of the people will catch on just have to have faith and not let them drag you down, life is to short to worry over the little things. All charities deserve money and lots of them need volunteers. As a volunteer for Ronald McDonald House I know how much time and money can mean to these organizations. Danny Gokey seems so committed to his his organization in memory of his wife, I would like to see the money go toward sophia's heart.

i think which foundation that will get the charity is ok fo me, because it's for good cause. Anyway, this is such a good example for people out there who has a lot of money, but using it unwisely.. i think they should open their eyes and see that a lot of people out there are suffering , no where to live; they should start giving their hands to the poor.... One more thing - I went to the website where Danny was supposedly called out for the "scam" and that wasn't the case at all. I encourage everyone to read it. Just looks like another generous person (like Nick) wants to help and will make a donation. Just because he (*he meaning the Monagan guy, not Danny) erroneously affiliated himself with SHF doesn't mean that Danny was at fault. Read it right - don't try to twist words just to spread hate. This is such a generous thing that Nick's doing and it's turning into something ridiculous. If you don't like Danny, don't buy his music. Don't follow him. Don't buy tickets to his concerts. Really, all you're doing is getting his name out there MORE so that folks like me can really research to disprove your theories. SHF is a legitimate charity doing great things. No one is taking money away from dying children, we are trying to give money to help out underprivileged children.
Also, I believe that Danny has a lot of fans voting for him only once. Most of people that started following Nick after he decided to do this are Danny Gokey fans. So it makes sense that they would vote for SHF, because they believe it is a worthwhile foundation.
I don't think that Nick is being unfair to anyone or any of the other charities. The bottom line is that the majority of people following Nick are Danny Gokey fans and they are voting for SHF because they think it is a worthwhile cause.
I think that it's ridiculous that people are acting indignant and offended that people are voting for SHF. Danny fans are the ones that are the most responsible for Nick meeting his goal of 10,000 followers.
He did ask for other charities, to put on the list and people gave him the names of those charities. He's not pushing for one charity over the others, SHF has the most votes because there are more people that are voting that are Danny fans than not. And I do believe that at least most of the Danny fans are voting once, and those votes are enough to put SHF out ahead of the other charities.
Most of the Danny haters that are complaining about people voting for SHF wouldn't have even known about this poll were it not for Danny. Danny Gokey fans are the ones that are the most responsible for Nick achieving his goal of 10,000 followers. So I think that it's ridiculous that people are complaining about SHF being in the lead. Hush up about that.

I think any organization that supports music and arts in the school deserves all the assistance they can get. The more opportunities that are offered to underprivileged kids to keep them off the streets, the safer they'll be as they continue down life's path... give them the positive experiences of a life time. All of you guys that are questioning Nick's motivation for doing this, and accusing him and Danny of doing stuff are very ridiculous and wrong.
I believe that Nick decided to do this before he asked Danny for help with getting followers. And he since he decided to do this, he said that he wanted to give the money to the charity of the people's choice on Twitter. I believed that he asked Danny later on to help him get followers, because him and Danny are friends and because Danny has a lot of followers. It was Danny fans who first suggested that SHF be one of the charities nominated for this, not Danny or Nick who suggested that. Nick asked for more charities, to be nominated, after some of Danny's fans nominated SHF.
Nick asked the people to vote for the charity they want to get the money. And the people are voting, most of them happen to be Danny Gokey fans who believe that SHF is a worthwhile cause.
You Danny haters have no business huffing and puffing about this. Danny Gokey fans are the ones that helped Nick reach his goal of 10,000 followers the most. Danny Gokey fans are the ones that told people to follow Nick for a worthwhile cause. Danny Gokey fans are the ones that are willing to match Nick with a $1 donation for charity.
Not the vast majority of you Danny Gokey haters. Most of you guys wouldn't have even known about this if it weren't for Danny, so how dare you come up in here acting indignant and offended when you see that SHF, is leading in the poll, because Danny Gokey fans are the ones that helped get Nick the 10,000 followers. And how dare you have the audacity to accuse Danny and Nick who is doing a good thing of doing ridiculous stuff.

When I saw this poll I e-mailed tay-sachs and informed them of the poll which I am sure they did not know about. I asked them to pass along the info and gave them a link to the poll. I am sure it was good news to them and affected families and in no time the poll showed an overwhelming support for this cause. That is when Danny tweeted his followers and asked them to come vote with a vengence. I guess it was supposed to be between Nick, Danny, and his fans and to make others seem it was not prejudiced a poll was created and no one thought anyone would know or vote for the others. I feel bad for the rest of the charities who thought they had a chance for a generous donation based on how it was contrived.
I voted for Sophia's Heart Foundation. I believe that Danny and others who knew and loved Sophia will continue to do wonderful work in her memory and deserve support.

I just also wanted to say that I voted once and only once for Sophia's Heart Foundation. Even though when I went to bed at 2 in the morning SHF was leading significantly and in the morning it was not. There is a lot of speculation that another group had dishonestly influenced the poll.
Even with that knowledge I refuse to vote more than one time, even though I know full well how to do it. I just don't think it's right.

Most charities just focus on helping the sick to find a cure, which is wonderful. But he does not just concentrate on illness. He realizes that there is so much trouble in this world and it starts with the children. This organization concentrates on providing medical funds for children and family that are in need, it also helps provide food and shelter.. and then it takes it to a whole other level by the music and arts program and assisting kids of less fortune with money as well as family and giving them something to believe in. This will help so many children in the community with self esteem and to help escape a life that may not be as good as most of us know. I dedicate my heart and soul to this foundation, informing everyone that I can. Danny and the family of his late wife are starting a movement, and I am so proud to say that I stand behind them and the future that lies within Sophia's Heart Foundation. When I read the story of Danny and his late wife I quickly fell in love with them both. And for all of you on this site and using it for negative comments about Danny and his foundation SHAME ON YOU! Even if Sophias Heart Foundation is not what you believe in, we are on here for all the same reason. Trying to gain funds for people.. and Danny nor Sophia deserve to be bashed for their beliefs. It is not right to tear Danny down and accuse him of living and taking his wife's name in veign, it is because of his new found fame that will help this organization become successful and he will be supported by people that believe in him and believe in what he is trying to do. Nobody has the right to take that away from him. There is not many people in the world like him, and we should appreciate him for what he has done and what he plans on doing. Well it looks like this poll is fixed so I propose that everyone of us who voted for Tay-sachs go to their website http://www.curetay-sachs.org/ and donate $5.00 to the organization and get them 10k for research, genetic testing, and treatments to help in finding a cure for the death sentence of this disorder! One more thing - I went to the website where Danny was supposedly called out for the "scam" and that wasn't the case at all. I encourage everyone to read it. Just looks like another generous person (like Nick) wants to help and will make a donation. Also, I believe that Danny has a lot of fans voting for him only once. Most of people that started following Nick after he decided to do this are Danny Gokey fans. So it makes sense that they would vote for SHF, because they believe it is a worthwhile foundation.
I don't think that Nick is being unfair to anyone or any of the other charities. The bottom line is that the majority of people following Nick are Danny Gokey fans and they are voting for SHF because they think it is a worthwhile cause.

He did ask for other charities, to put on the list and people gave him the names of those charities. All of you guys that are questioning Nick's motivation for doing this, and accusing him and Danny of doing stuff are very ridiculous and wrong.
I believe that Nick decided to do this before he asked Danny for help with getting followers. And he since he decided to do this, he said that he wanted to give the money to the charity of the people's choice on Twitter. I believed that he asked Danny later on to help him get followers, because him and Danny are friends and because Danny has a lot of followers. It was Danny fans who first suggested that SHF be one of the charities nominated for this, not Danny or Nick who suggested that. Nick asked for more charities, to be nominated, after some of Danny's fans nominated SHF.
Nick asked the people to vote for the charity they want to get the money. And the people are voting, most of them happen to be Danny Gokey fans who believe that SHF is a worthwhile cause.

I guess it was supposed to be between Nick, Danny, and his fans and to make others seem it was not prejudiced a poll was created and no one thought anyone would know or vote for the others. I just also wanted to say that I voted once and only once for Sophia's Heart Foundation. Even though when I went to bed at 2 in the morning SHF was leading significantly and in the morning it was not. There is a lot of speculation that another group had dishonestly influenced the poll.
Even with that knowledge I refuse to vote more than one time, even though I know full well how to do it. I just don't think it's right.
The only testimonials on SHF website are about christmas presents, and helping a family with housing as Danny Gokey emerged and his angel in heaven, Sophia, who offered to help.

Most charities just focus on helping the sick to find a cure, which is wonderful. But he does not just concentrate on illness. He realizes that there is so much trouble in this world and it starts with the children. This organization concentrates on providing medical funds for children and family that are in need, it also helps provide food and shelter.. and then it takes it to a whole other level by the music and arts program and assisting kids of less fortune with money as well as family and giving them something to believe in. This will help so many children in the community with self esteem and to help escape a life that may not be as good as most of us know. I dedicate my heart and soul to this foundation, informing everyone that I can. Danny and the family of his late wife are starting a movement, and I am so proud to say that I stand behind them and the future that lies within Sophia's Heart Foundation. When I read the story of Danny and his late wife I quickly fell in love with them both. And for all of you on this site and using it for negative comments about Danny and his foundation SHAME ON YOU! Even if Sophias Heart Foundation is not what you believe in, we are on here for all the same reason. Trying to gain funds for people.. and Danny nor Sophia deserve to be bashed for their beliefs.
