One used to think that QUIET libraries were the way to go.. Candace at Maleny has challenged and changed that! It is really great now to be working or relaxing in the library, and listen to the absolute delight of her young brood of junior Hinterland kids singing and squealing in delight as Candace works her magic with them. And, by the way, she does a great job as a librarian as well!
Catherine is a wonderful librarian who is so willing to assist with research, source books and articles and encourage the use of library and librarians. I even appreciate the gentle nudges she gives me to return overdue books :)

My two grandchildren are extremely fond of Francine as she (Francine) have a special approach with children. She's gentle, good rapport, helpful and most of all being cheerful. Being cheerful and happy in the presence of children will definitely create the same on the children, thus empowering them to enjoy, learn and share each other's company.
Lucy Kinsley is a gem! I had the privilege of being a volunteer at Lismore Library for 5 years before I was elected as a Councillor in 2004. In the 8.5 years since I've been on Council and now Mayor, I've sat on the Richmond Tweed Regional Library committee and seen her leadership, innovation and attention to customer service.
Lucy is always willing to help anyone anytime and a very devoted person .
A fantastic person who is always there to help and always trying to make the library a better place for all.
She's a marvellous and fantastic librarian who's always be prepared to come in to aid any problems the mothers' have with their children in the library. She's amicable, easy-going, pleasant, extremely helpful, bubbly (very significant - as it helps to cheer up childrens' spirit & trust) and most of all very efficient in her work & dealing with children.
Lucy is Lismore's Gem. Very well like and a much loved person at the Library.
Francine is an excellent librarian with outstanding rapport with both young and old. Francine makes the children so excited to visit the library and read! I have 2 grand daughters and 2 grand nephews who grew up in the care of Francine as their librarian.
The seed planted by Francine had motivated these young readers to continue their passion in reading. My 6 years old grand daughter has been invited to submit a story for the Tim Minton competition this year and this would not have happened if not for Francine's excellent grounding of her love for reading and writing. Thanks Francine!!
