Miriam Verus is an amazing librarian and I was so pleased to see her here in the list of nominees. Miriam is an amazing person to work with and very inspirational. Miriam connects with people and genuinely cares about public libraries and their role in the community. Miriam is creative and full of ideas and has a really great manner with all people.

Miriam has a special natural ability to engage children. She is the type of great librarian that a child always remembers, like a good teacher or other positive role model. She is in great company with all these other fabulous librarians.
I use to work with Miriam in her previous role, where she made some amazing contributions to Children's Services and took me under her wing when I was new and taught me so much. Go Mims.

Jae Rolt was my year 5 teacher back in 2001, 12 years later and I still have fond memories of her. She is such a fun, loving caring woman. I hope that one day my daughter has the pleasure of being taught by someone half as good as Jae!

Pete is a fantastic librarian .... He is full of enthusiasm care and community spirit. He is approachable, knowledgable and most of all fun. Libraries are no longer a quiet elitist uptight environments .... They are a community space for active engagement in literacy activities....Pete promotes a fun learning environment for all ages and is an asset to our community library.

Always welcoming and helpful. The time and effort he puts into teaching children about the library is amazing. Peter also plans school holiday activities for the kids which is always well attend mostly due to the respect and love of the children.

Peter Pap of Deniliquin Library is the epitome of the kind of librarian that every library needs. He engages each person as they enter and is definitely the reason so many people use and return to our wonderful library. He does everything from Baby bounce, Story time, School holiday activities to themed events and computer lessons for seniors. Peter, at the library, was one of the first people I met when we arrived in Deniliquin and 7 years later I am very happy to consider him a terrific friend. Peter Pap makes the Deniliquin library the fantastic place to go, for All our community, that it is!! Good luck Pete you deserve to win!!!!

Jo Really deserves this award her dedication and lust for childrens literacy is incredible. All the children who attend the programmes love "Jo Jo" and she has such a great connection with them also.

Helen Derrick is an outstanding librarian and researcher whose career at Brisbane Boys College resulted in BBC building a resource centre which is the envy of most secondary schools throughout Australia. She continues to help students through her research role at our website www.letterwriters.com.au and writes a regular blog on history related issues. Simply the best!

Pete is a fun loving, joyous individual who brings joy into many peoples lives everyday at the Deniliquin Library. Weather your young or old by just crossing paths with Pete at the library you always leave with a smile on your face. He is the most helpful individual I know and takes the time to listen to what you are saying and makes you feel valued as a patron of the library.

I was looking after one of Priya's staff who had sustained in injury in the workplace. She was one of the nicest and supportive bosses I have ever come across. I also learnt that staff adored her. she was professional and friendly. when I was on site, I noticed she was working on the front end if I can call it that, always smiling and helpful to customers. She loves her job and staff. A really good person adn it showed with everyone she dealt with

Judy Blyton, has been providing outstanding service to the education community in the area of resources for teaching languages, English as an additional language, multicultural and global education, human rights and studies of Asia for over 20 years. Judy's expert knowledge in these areas as well as in running an efficient and friendly specialised library are greatly appreciated by her colleagues and patrons.

Ms. Goddard is actually one of the best librarians I know. Even though I don't really go to book club or 'hang out' with her I should say, she is really helpful. I've seen her help new students if they were new or lost in the library, and I always think in my mind, she is one quick and efficient librarian. She gets any job done she is assigned to. I always see in the notices that Ms. Goddard's name is mentioned after a book club meeting is announced. Well, golly, she is the creator of the book club! My gosh, she's gotten isloated people to read to keep themselves occupied! I've never seen anyone do something really good like that in my life! Caring about other people and making them find new friends! It actually brings tears to my eyes as I am saying this :')

Miss Goddard is a fun and energetic teacher, she is always willing to help kids in the library and makes reading fun and enjoyable. Miss Goddard started up our school book club, were she introduces us to new books and we discuss our favourites.Book club has now become one of my favourite events of the week. I have met many great people through miss Goddard and I know all my friends would agree. miss Goddard not only helps us in school but outside school to, one of my friends is in the proses of making a game and has asked for her help and connections to better improve it. Miss Goddard is kind and always ready to help and we would love miss Goddard to become Australia's favourite librarian. Please choose her.

Mrs Goddard is the best librarian ever.Mrs Goddard should be nominated because:
- she is kind and always friendly and smiling
- she is helpful
- she is very involved in the library (book club, book week, book completions)
- she is up to date with books
- she likes pretty much every genre, she is an all rounder
- she listens to what everyone has to say
- she knows just about every student at school and always says hello when she sees them
- she can make friends with anybody
- she is informative
- she shares interests with everybody she knows
- she will always help you in anyway she can
- she is full of energy and excitement
- she is a great teacher (funny, nice, a good teacher, organised)

Jake takes his job seriously - it's seriously fun! Children and their families are welcome and known by name. It's never to hard to do a search for other titles by obscure authors, to talk stories and plots, to supervise children talking 'fish' (we don't tap glass 'cause it's extra loud for them), help out people wanting to use the computers or suss out which titles might best suit different projects. He is a beloved member of our community, helping tie us all together in our library hub :)

I vote for Joanna Taylor at PLC Sydney. I am the Archivist at the College and for 10 years have witnessed Joanna's enthusiasm in helping students find materials and her encouragement to stimulate their love of reading. Her love of literature is infectious!
