The Obama camp just pooped their pants. What an awesome choice for a VP candidate. And more Executive experience than Obama, double bonus!!! And LOL, bet she's a better shot than VP Cheney!!! That's change most people would like right??? Democrates would be foolish to attack McCains VP pick decision based on experience seeming how highlighting such an issue would call attention to their own poor decision to support an inexperienced freshman Senator who has been a Senator for almost 3 years but has served only 143 days in that capacity, this than calls attention to ones own stupidity!!! Damn this will be a historic election year, win or lose, America will have one glass ceiling broken forever, AWESOME!!!

  • Patti - 18 years ago

I agree with Corinne, the first to leave a comment, on all points, and would like to make the following observation: The party that respects life is the party that respects women!
I'm really looking forward to supporting John McCain/Sarah Palin in this election.

  • Phoebe Taylor - 18 years ago

I love Senator McCains CHOIES for V.P. Fantastic!!! Gov. Palin Fantastic, Wonderful and what a Fantastic Choice.Good job Sentor. I am so Excited. Our prayers are with all of you. God Bless

  • Melissa - 18 years ago

I am just smiling away reading Democrats say they understand that the obama ticket isn' the right one...If Palin had run for President I probably would have voted for her! What a charasmatic speaker! A regular American, a mom, a wife, a butt-kicker and a classy woman. I look forward to seeing her everyday.

  • fleur - 18 years ago

Gov. Palin is the right choice at the right time, she's definitely for change. McCain just sweetened the deal, like adding ice cream to an apple pie w/ the nomination of Gov. Palin. My husband, a Vietnam-era vet, was moved to tears when he heard that her son enlisted in the army. She definitely energized this campaign, like a breath of fresh air. Our entire family is very excited upon learning of her nomination. She has more experience in gov't than Obama & Biden combined. For democrats, try something else to hit her other than experience, w/c I doubt they will succeed anyway.

  • Shelby Tart - 18 years ago

McCain made a wise choice. She is great. I hope Gov. Palin will clean up all the corrupt in Washington, D.C. They are definitely winners................. I am so happy. This has been the best day for me in a long time. She is a dream come true for women of America.

  • Plain Jane - 18 years ago

Sarah Palin could become America's Margaret Thatcher!

  • Vicki - 18 years ago

Sarah Palin is a breath of fresh air. I was not that familiar with her, but after listening to her speech; which was very well stated, not to mention sincere; and then reading her bio on Wikipedia, I am convinced that the McCain/Palin ticket for the Whitehouse is what AMERICA needs at this time.

The timing could never be better for these two individuals.

    This is REAL CHANGE.

  • Marilyn - 18 years ago

We love Sarah Palin in Alaska! She has righted many wrongs in state government, with her energy, resolve, and aplomb. I'm excited for the rest of the nation to know our very capable governor.

  • Mickey - 18 years ago

O'bama says he is for change-yet he picks a VP choice thats been part of the problem in Washington for the last 30 years in Biden.
JSM just got millions of extra votes by picking a person 99% of us can relate to! I'll be voting Republican for the first time in my life (61 years) and i hope you will to!

  • James Harold Goodwin - 18 years ago

I am 74 years old and not necessarily computer literate. However, I know honesty and sincerity when I hear it. McCain and and Palin are the right for our USA at this time. GOD SPEED...WE REPUBLICANS WILL WIN...PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED FOR THE BEST SITUATIONS... WHATEVER THE OUTCOME!!!

  • Marlene McClellan - 18 years ago

Not only is she a woman...........she is a woman that all of us women can look up to. I'm 60 years old and I beleive women my age and older would want someone like her to be our V.P. I beleive she has it all....She is strong has integrity, love for life, and experience as major, Govenor etc. It seems like she can get the job done..............she's a go getter and has a lot of energy, that's what we need and most of all she doesn't have patients for people that do wrong no matter what party they belong to.

As far as foregin policy I have no doubt that she wouldn't be strong in protecting our homeland, she and John McCain will keep us safe..........I'm so afraid if Obahma and his ticket get in they will be setting us up for attacks...they won't act in a timely manner. They will be afraid to make any waves, they don't want our evil doers to get mad at them.

    Thank You,

    Marlene McClellan

As a Democrat, the selection of Palin makes my decision to vote for a Republican a bit easier.

  • Georgia Granny - 18 years ago

I feel there should have been other options. You did not give any pro McCain effect other than bringing over the Hillary votes!

  • Andy - 18 years ago

I am once again excited about the Republican Party. I supported Senator Clinton for President and I was disappointed when she did not get the nomination. I assumed Senator Obama would do the smart thing and select Hillary as his running partner. Boy was I upset when he chose Senator Biden. Thank you Maverick McCain for taking the gamble on an outsider and a woman.

  • Paul in Tampa - 18 years ago

I couldn't be happier as she has energized the Conservative base of the Republican Party and is the real deal.

After reading several left wing blogs, it occured to me that clueless liberals just don't get it. Palin wasn't nominated to secure Hilarys voters, but to secure moderate and conservative women.

The baby killers will not vote for McCain. However, "soccer moms" have no party loyalty and they generally vote for the person who shares in their hopes and dreams, along with their pain.

The "soccer moms" voted in large numbers for Clinton and he won.

The "soccer moms" were split on Bush and the elections were close. Too close!!

The "soccer moms" will connect with Palin and that will propel McCain to victory.

    NOBama bin Biden 08

  • Karen May - 18 years ago

I think Gov. Sarah Palin is an outstanding choice. Smart, with a lot of common sense. Her family values are all in the right place. Sen. McCain hit a home run with all the bases loaded. Congratulations! Now let's all get to work and get these two elected.

  • Dee - 18 years ago

Integrity and good judgement trumps experience in my book. Thank you John McCain fo choosing Sarah Palin for VP.

  • Rick - 18 years ago

Is the country great or what? All of these amazing comments! I can't begin to compete with what has already been said. So I will just say Amen!

  • Michelle - 18 years ago

This is unbelievable. I am so excited. Finally, there is a true breath of fresh air on the political scene. Obama claims to be an agent of change yet picks Biden (who is a party loyalist and been in the Senate longer than McCain with no history of fighting corruption - he has been a part of it). Then McCain shocks the world and picks a true reformer who had no aspirations to be a politician and an outsider who can relate to the average American. She was thrusted into politics because her peers saw in her a leader. She has executive experience and took on the corrupt government in Alaska and won. Sarah Palin is just what America needs.

  • Sigrid Blancheri - 18 years ago

I have never trusted the Obama group or how they have tried to present him to the country. I never trusted Hillary either. With McCain choosing his VP running mate I am delighted to vote for McCain & Palin. She has had more achievements in her two years as governor than Obama & his running mate put together. It is about time we get someone in the White House that will stand for the "little people" of this great country. We use to be a shining light throughout the world. Now we have become so shaded and jaded that most of the world just laughs at us. I have confidence that the McCain/Palin choice will bring us back to where we should be. They have our votes and prayers. Maybe she can help Senator McCain clean house in Washington as she cleaned house in Alaska. It needs a good scrubbing!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mickey - 18 years ago

NOW THIS IS TRUE HISTORY IN THE MAKING!!! WAY TO GO,PRESIDENT MCCAIN!!!

  • Mary Ann - 18 years ago

I am so thrilled with the choice of Sarah Palin to be on the McCain ticket

  • Joyce Fay - 18 years ago

What a coup by Senator McCain to choose an honorable, ethical, intelligent, diligent, and experienced woman as vice president. My support was for Senator Clinton. Since that didn't materialize, the decision by this 67 year old grandmother, soon to return to work, was to not vote during this election. However, now, I will be proud to cast my vote for Senator McCain and Governor Palin. God has blessed America again!

  • Wayne - 18 years ago

Obama talks the talk, but Palin has walked the walk. She has been tough on corruption, confronted energy issues in Alaska, and has brought both parties into her administration. In her personal life she has also supported pro-life issues, including the recent birth of her son with Down's Syndrome. That is the proven track record Obama lacks!

  • Jeanne - 18 years ago

I am a southern woman who has always supported the advancement of women. It is wonderful to finally find that some "good" women are achieving. I am so excited. Been hoping she would be selected. Couldn't remember her name, but kept telling my husband she was governor of Alaska.

    Fabulous news!!!!

  • steve - 18 years ago

What an absolutely fantastic choice. As a male for Hillary I must applaud Senator McCain and his staff for such a great selection. I am officially changing parties, at least for this year, and will proudly vote for the McCain/Palin ticket. "Obama the Annointed" has probably changed his drawers several times today. Prepare to lose your a** on this election. You should have taken Hillary and Bill but thank the Lord you didn't.

God does work in mysterious ways because I have never felt comfortable with "Nobama". He sends chills through my body when I see him or hear his name. Maybe there really is a demonic force behind him.

    God bless us all.

  • Mike of Carolina - 18 years ago

Now us "bitter" rural people have a REAL candidate! I hope McCain also appoints Romney to a high-level cabinet position dealing with the domestic economy...we need a REAL, proven businessman in Washington too. The McCain/Palin ticket makes Obama/Biden look like a bunch of fools blowing hot air about how the Government is going to take care of everything and everybody! I may not be rich, but I know its the rich people that put people to work!

  • Betty - 18 years ago

I am so excited about Sarah. My choice was Romney, but now I think Senator McCain made the correct choice. How wonderful to live long enough to see a woman actually elected to this high office. My grandmother and mother would be right out there getting out the vote. My grandmother could not even vote early in her life and now here we are electing a woman, and a fine, honest one at that. Thank you Jesus.

  • Jenny - 18 years ago

I agree McCain has made a good choice. I think the Liberals are just jealous.
Obama is such a rude person. He couldn't run a country, all he knows how to run is his BIG MOUTH. He has no right to say Sarah is in experienced.. What experience does he have?

  • J Holt - 18 years ago

    God still answers prayers.

  • Johnnyboy - 18 years ago

This woman has more experience, wisdom, and moxie than B.O.(who stinks). She commands more presence than the Old-School political hacks like Joe Biden and Billary. Sarah Palin clearly sees through the bull and empty rhetoric that is so common these days, offering a fresh and honest perspective. I am so glad that John McCain had the intelligence and reason to see that she is a WINNER.

  • ED JONES - 18 years ago

Mc Cain hit it out of the park!! The DEMS haven't begun to see the "CRACKS" in the ceilng YET!! OHH, and she is already working on alternative natural gas resources in Alaska! I'm more energized and ready for the ride of my life! She represents all things good in Amereica. Look out Biden, It's time to go Ridin'. Got Natural gas? BRING IT ON!!! AND DON'T FORGET... I BELIEVE SHE IS A LIFETIME MEMBER OF THE NRA. THAT'S HOT!!!! IN THE WORDS OF THE GREAT CHARLTON HESTON, 'FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS"!!!!!

  • Marta - 18 years ago

I feel sorry for Hillary now...and the democrats, they've just lost the election!
What a brilliant choice! I even think she should be the President, she's more qualified than Obama that's for sure, and at the same level with Senator McCain! They are just perfect for this country! God bless them and nobody else! lol

  • Andi Robinson - 18 years ago

This is just awesome! I think that Senator McCain has just raised the bar on what we can expect in our Presidential team! With Sarah Palin's values and experiences she is an excellent choice for VP. This team could be exactly what our country needs to get our values and priorities back where they belong! Governor Palin is a true inspiration to women everywhere - Democrat OR Republican!

  • Bob - 18 years ago

Wow, What a choice. John hit it out of the park. I think she is the right choice and with her experence will bring a fresh face and proven record of fighting graft and waste. God bless her and her family as they go through this campaign.

  • Jim - 18 years ago

I think the choice of Sarah is great. One of the questions should have been related to getting people out to vote, not just Dem. women. I believe that there are a lot of people who will come out for her that had decided not to vote at all.

  • Nancy - 18 years ago

I was really frustrated when it was first announced this morning. I was not definitely in the McCain camp and I really wanted Romney to be the pick so I could feel comfortable voting for McCain. When I heard it was Palin, I couldn't imagine a governor with only a year and a half of service being the pick. However, after hearing her I AM IMPRESSED and I am a convert. I am only voting for McCain because I feel she makes up for his deficits. Had he picked anyone else besides her or McCain I probably would have abstained this election year.

  • sean - 18 years ago

they say its tougher in alaska! sounds to me that if she makes it to washington ,it just might be tougher for the crooks there as well.reagon rides again truth justice and the american way!!!!!!!! hey obama i bet she can school you in basketball,,,,

  • Paul - 18 years ago

The McCain-Pailin ticket is a team I will support. The choice of Governor Palin has rallied the base and is causing great angst within the Obama-Biden camp. This is now a horse race that can be won by Republicans. Congratulations Governor Palin and to Senator McCain, well done sir!

  • margaret - 18 years ago

Why are Obama and the democrats saying she was ONLY a mayor? She IS a GOVERNOR!! Are they discriminating against women? They diss Hillary and now try to downplay this woman's accomplishments. Empty promises by Obama, they show their lack of attention to women's accomplishments. Again SHE IS A GOVERNOR_NOT JUST A MAYOR. Was Obama EVER a mayor, governor, council member, PTA Board? Actions speak so much louder than words

  • Will - 18 years ago

Well John's pick seems to be an attempt to get the women that support the clintons. She may hurt the ticket. I think her investigation of abuse of power may stick to her. She had said she didn't know about the situation until a tape was produce. I thought it was also reported that she is for Oil. She push to get leases for drilling. Either way History will be made in Nov. I just hope for a clean and fair race... We are not off to a good start.

  • DonF - 18 years ago

    O-Blah-Blah who?

  • Lucy Muller - 18 years ago

Gov. Palin may be an efficient public servant, but she will never get any Hillary votes, because of her stance on abortion. She will also lose thousands of animal rights advocates who do not like hunting or the incredibly horrible idea of taking polar bears off the endangered species list so people like her can kill them. Of all the great minds in the Republican party I can't believe McCain chose her.

  • Barbara - 18 years ago

Isn't it ironic? Stupid Obama!!!!! I watched his speech full of promises yet not saying how he will make changes. Did anyone see Michelle Obama in the audience with her smirky smile. I bet she is the reason Hillary didn't get the VP position. After all, this year she said she feels like an AMERICAN for the first time!!!!! Hello, where in the he-- has she been? I bet Michelle runs her household.I would have voted for Obama had he put Hollary on the ticket, after all she deserved to be there, but unfortunately he just made a hugh mistake. Wonder if he would like to make a change in his VP pick now. When I listened to VP Palin today I was so overwhelmed, she is one smart lady. I love the fight in her and knowing she is not afraid of whoever crosses her path. She has a lot of spunk and class, she will be a refreshing asset to the white house. Obama you are such a shit and out of touch.

  • Bob - 18 years ago

Absolutely a grand slam home run for the McCain-Palin ticket. Not qualified according to the Obama campaign???? She is the Governor of the largest state in the Union. She has to make Executive decisions every day. Not to mention the fact that her state borders two foreign nations--Canada and Russia, she has a bit of experience dealing with other countries. Wonder how many pro-choice women at 44 years of age would elect to have a Downs syndrome child. She saw "perfection" --- not a "choice". Absolutely fabulous!

  • Dave - 18 years ago

What a GREAT choice!!! Put another dem in the republican corner. I was disgusted when MSNBC had that little remark under McCain and Palin's picture, "How many more houses will she add to the Republican ticket"?
Shame on MSNBC for that! I will not watch that station anymore.

SARAH PALIN WILL ROCK THE VOTE!!!

  • Caroline Strasser - 18 years ago

A native Alaskan, a fighter, hunter, fisherwoman, life-long NRA member, the mother of five with a son about to be deployed to fight for our country, a pro-lifer... the list goes on. What a doll. She's going to go to Washington and kick butt.

What does OBAMA stand for? How about: "Oh Brother, Another Mistake AGAIN!"
What does PALIN stand for: POW! ARGH! Liberation Is Near!

  • John Perryman - 18 years ago

Thank God for Governor Palin! Evidently John McCain does understand that we will NO longer tolerate the lying incoherence, immoral practices, selfish seeking, egotistical exhibitions, ethnic preferences, gender favoring, empty brains of Obama and Joe Biden. Thank you Senator McCain for the outstanding selection! Governor Palin's record, character, knowledge, skills and abilities leave Obama and Biden in the dark, shadowing what appears to be their evil lurking to destroy our hopes and dreams. There are millions of us that will fight vigilantly against the liberal, non Christian prognosticating Democrats, and elect John McCain and Governor Palin.

  • NuclearNow - 18 years ago

Let's see? Washington is broken, but Palin is not qualified because she does not have enough experience working in a broken system to fix it. Perhaps the reason it is broken is because too many people are worried about beltway experience and not about character and morality. Perhaps a little old fashioned character might clear up the air in D.C.

  • Scotto - 18 years ago

Move over Nancy Pelosi... you have been religated to mediocrity.

  • Dessa Bundt - 18 years ago

Hooray for Senator McCain for selecting Gov. Palin. What a terrific woman. Integrity, quick, smart, experienced, believes in doing the right thing, tough but fair, looking out for the people, high moral values, and has just brought a breath of fresh air into the once stale race. She is charming, but firm; attractive, but not afraid to work. She is more than empty words and an empty suit. She has substance... not just "fluff". She will make America proud. We are excited today, more than we have been in a long time! You go girl!!!!! And may God Bless America.
Please do everything you can to counter-act the negative words of the biased networks.
P.S. I didn't particularly like your question choices, Greta. But perhaps this will help. Also, I watched Obama last night, but only to see what he had to lie about. I would NOT ever vote for him, yet the news states: 38 Million watched and loved him and will vote for him. WRONG! We were just curious.

  • Jennifer from Worthington, PA - 18 years ago

    Greta ~
Until today I was considering not even voting after Hilary wasn't chosen for the Democratic nomination. It angers me that the popular vote doesn't seem to count for anything! However, after today, I am considering voting for McCain - I'm a democrat, but I think that a woman's influence may be just what this country needs. I have not been impressed by Obama at all, and could not believe that he was the chosen candidate after it was clear that the majority of the voting democrats had voted for Hilary. I think this election is going to prove to be very interesting and possibly exciting!
Thanks for your fantastic coverage of all the top news stories!

  • Debra - 18 years ago

I was so upset when McCain got the nomination. I respect him alot but never thought he should be president. I've know about Ms. Palin for awhile and have liked her very much. She is an honest, no-nonsence politician, that will bring integrity back to Washington.. After today, I can honestly say I will vote without holding my nose. I predict Sarah Palin will be the FIRST women president in 2012.

  • Terry Kemmerer - 18 years ago

I've been watching Sarah Palin since she became governor of my favorite state. And for quite some time now, I have been saying she is the perfect match for McCain and the issues, and the things that really count in American life!

  • Sharon - 18 years ago

I did not know anything about her before today and I could not be more excited about the Republican ticket now. I was really having trouble with it before, but now I am back, I will vote for them and contribute money to the campaign. What a historic moment.

  • Jim in NC - 18 years ago

Yippee!! An apparent honest politician with no baggage, a woman after my own heart - mother of five, she hunts, she fishes (cleans and cooks them, too), coaches basketball & is the hockey team Mom - what more could we ask for. Way to go Senator McCain!

  • Bill Petruzel - 18 years ago

As others have said.......Wow ! I really knew nothing of her until today
and have been looking and listening and learning since. She is the
genuine article. I am thrilled and I am normally a very laid back
kind of guy. McCain made a brilliant decision and, even though I was
going to vote for him regardless, I am now actually excited about this
political season. And I have not been this excited since Ronald Reagan
was running. What a great team we have in McCain and Palin now !!
    BP--Springfield, VA

  • Susan - 18 years ago

I've been in a quandry for weeks with this election looming, but today's surprise announcement has me supercharged! November can't get here soon enough for this Independent voter. An incredibly brilliant move, Senator McCain!

  • Olney - 18 years ago

an inspired choice! Sarah- lady, princess, queen, a female noble...

  • A Veteran - 18 years ago

It is long over do, a true American trying to make a difference for the nation she loves, not for power, but for country. Her son's willingness to defend only highlights how great a woman she is, God Bless them both.

Cracks about inexperience are pathetic, we the people (including Sarah) make more important decisions everyday when we cast our votes for offices like the president. Our decision gives them the power they have to affect the world and history forever, I am personally offended by attacks on her that belittle her decision making. What decision is harder to make than some of the personal decisions she had made in her lifetime. McCain 2008.

  • Steve - 18 years ago

What a fantastic pick. Obama just lost 10 million votes at least and we haven't even had the Republican convention. It makes me proud that my party has nominated the first women for VP. Who knows where we will be in four years, but I think there is going to be a women sitting in the oval office sooner then we all think. If she can pull off being the Vice President and a mom, then she truly is a special person. Being a mom is the toughest job in the world. What a great moment in American politics.

  • Sue - 18 years ago

As a registered Republian, I was absolutely thrilled with the decision. It is a very exciting day for the Republican Party. I can't wait for Nov 4th. All the women I have spoken with today are thrilled. The Dems will have a tough time tearing her down without offending women from all walks of life. Governor Palin showed alot of class and spirit during her speech today. How wonderful that her husband supports her 100% in her career. That, too, says alot about him and them as a family. What terrific role models. Congratulations to John McCain for choosing Governor Palin!

  • john - 18 years ago

    GreatGreat lets vote

  • Matt - 18 years ago

America has been praying for a leader like Gov. Sarah Palin. I think Obomma was right about change and we found her.

  • CB - 18 years ago

I'm finally excited about tuning into the Republican
Convention and considering voting for McCain.
I like the fact that she is not only concerned about the energy crisis, but she has an answer.

  • Kimberley - 18 years ago

Great choice! I believe she will make a difference for every American in this country but fighting the lobbyists and changing current BAU.

  • Allison - 18 years ago

Shes a Rock Star in my book! Palin has more experience than the two Senators combined. She is awesome and our country deserves someone like her! Brilliant!!!

  • Terry - 18 years ago

WAKE-UP, and think of Palin working on the NEXT Fed. Budget??? hehehe WOW!!!! Hope lives and the fat Lady has sang for Obama.... The DNC made it's own bed, pushed the rules, hit all the bottons, and cared less about the voters. Hillary bowed to the party and lost far more then this contest, she sold out 18 Mil. people.... Today We Saw a Real Live supporter of the Will of the People in Palin.

  • tim - 18 years ago

All i can say is good bye obama you lost now . way to go McCAIN !
McCAIN AND PALIN FOR PRESIDENT !!!!!!!!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA

  • Kellie - 18 years ago

Great Choice!!!! Finally someone who wants to fight old government ways, big money and do the right thing for American families. For the first time in my voting life I am excited about an election.

  • Mandy in Iowa - 18 years ago

I was for McCain before and I am for McCain now! B.O. was ALWAYS a joke!! Maybe people will finally see and vote for the ticket that really needs to be in the White House! Go McCain/Palin!!

  • Dirty Ol Man - 18 years ago

Hey Sara show us your boobs.

  • Vickie - 18 years ago

I am lovin' it! John McCain is one of my heros for so many reasons....but Sarah just topped it off. Not because she is a woman...because she will make a great VP for our country. What a great ticket. They have my vote.

  • Kaye - 18 years ago

What great news to wake up to this morning!! Great choice!! Sarah will be Super in the debates!! Go Sarah!!

  • Duke - 18 years ago

Excellent pick! She energizes the base while reaching out to women and others who traditionally vote Democratic. She's a strong women with chief executive experience that neither Obama or Biden have. When was the last time a winning ticket didn't have a governor or former vp on it?

  • Dr. Margaret - 18 years ago

Yes! Real Americans and true reformers. What an inspiration. Superb selection and great judgement by John McCain. Our household will be voting Republican this year.

  • Howard - 18 years ago

She's smart, she's ethical, she's a mom.... and she is a hope for all of those whom want to see a woman in a place of authority. Let's face it, many people (at least that I know) say they will vote for Obama simply because they want to see a black man in power after the hundreds of years of oppression that African-Americans have endured... I believe there are more voters that would like to see a woman in a position of power after the thousands of years of oppression that women have endured.

  • JHB - 18 years ago

    OOps - Bumper Sticker

  • jane - 18 years ago

i am a democrat and was leaning toward McCain and now with who he chose i am definitely going with McCain...just cant see voting for someone with an Islamic name who has the associates he has...Gov. Palin is a great choice to help run our country....

  • Jim O'Brien - 18 years ago

More than drawing Democratic women, this choice has raised John McCain's profile as an independent that will fight for change in the corruption that runs so rampant in Washington DC.

This has raised my hope that there is "hope" for real change in government and that it will return to "for the people, by the people" government.

  • Pete - 18 years ago

Great, what weak choices for answers! Why not the most obvious. SHE WILL ENERGIZE THE CONSERVATIVE BASE!!!

Conservatives now have serious hope for 2012 and beyond!

  • Julie - 18 years ago

Excellent! As a 40 year old, very conservative, stay at home mother of three, I just couldn't get very excited about McCain - now I can't wait to vote! Choosing Sarah Palin was a brilliant move. Also, what a great contrast she is to Nancy Pelosi.

  • Dale-Michelle - 18 years ago

I am so happy with John McCain's choice of a running mate. He is showing excellent stewardship toward the position he is pursuing, I couldn't be prouder of him.

  • Wendy House - 18 years ago

As you can see I was excited when writing the comment I didn't comment on Sarah. She looked great, sounded great and very confident in herself. She will win many vote for McCain.

    Wendy

  • MikeR - 18 years ago

Gov. Palin is the most exciting person to enter the 2008 Presidential Race arena. To those who are critical of credentials and ability to serve as Commander in Chief, I say, we have never had a first term President, nor a Presidental candidate who entered the White House qualified to be Commander in Chief. It's not the kind of job you get experience in.
The President learns "on the job." A governor comes the closest having been CinC of the State National Guard - those who downplay that experience do it from a lack of first hand experience. Mike

Governor Sarah Palin was the best choice Senator McCain could have made. Looking at it, she was the ONLY choice for this important position. The Dems will be sorry come November for their attempts to belittle and degrade her as just the Mayor of a little bumpkin town in Alaska.

Also, I am SO GLAD to see how many men and now just the Hillary women voters are for this outstanding candidate.

Fabulous news! All I could think about yesterday is that McCain had better not be Obama's equal in stupidty... by refusing to bring a woman to his team.
Obama completely lost my vote when he picked Biden. I had been riding the fence.... not anymore!
I love Padin's FEARLESSNESS in facing off against BIG politics. She is that rare breeed that does not just promise the world.... SHE DELIVERS THE WORLD!! She has time and time again demonstrated that she can affect the changes she promises!
Now THAT is what I would call CHANGE!!

I just went from voting against Obama's socialism to voting for McCain/Palin. Congratulations Senator McCain for making such a brilliant choice, making the right decision for this country, and lighting this political battle on fire!!

If we could only have all Washington and state politians like Gov. Palin, this truly would be the most utopic as well as fiscally responsible country on the world. I could never believe why when we are the most successsfull and the wealthiest country in the world, why do we have a 9 trillion dollar debt. We should not only have no national debt but a 9 trillion dollar national account positive. I believe if all politians were like Gov. Palin this would be the United States reality. Let's stop spending money on pet projects and lobbiests and chronisms.

Wow! I am extremely proud and excited about this. I could go on to explain the reasons why, however, we know why. I will equate the level of excitement to SEC football. ROLL TIDE ROLL! Enough said.

McCain and Palin, an excellent choice for November.

(There is a God, and He has raised my hopes.)

Palin--the only outsider on either ticket. A proven reformer and somone who is not only in touch with the average American family, but a mother who lives that life. Who else on either ticket can say that?
Happy Birthday Senator McCain from a fellow V-Vet. It apears you gave us a present..

What a breath of fresh air! A lovely, articulate, honest, accomplished
and genuine person. My husband and I welcome this addition to
American politics - her speeches will contain meaningful thoughts, not
just the usual political rhetoric designed to appeal to the emotions, but lacking substance. I have renewed hope for our country, and admiration
for both Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin.
