    They're against Fox News because Fox News gets to the bottom of the issues and reports the truth which the others try to help Pres. Obama cover up the truth.

  • christine fisher - 16 years ago

    the duty of reporters is to report the news not indoctrinate. Fox is the most fair and balanced.

  • Nathan - 16 years ago

    Well, I recieved an email form my father today telling me "Fox News is losing in an NPR Poll, but with the power of the Internet we can turn that around in a few hours." with the link. Did he write it? no, he forwards everything conservative-related he recieves. The results of this poll are completely useless either way.

    that being said Fox news tries to be unbiased in one way "tell two sides of the story equally". NPR tries be unbiased in a different way "don't tell lies". NPR is more trustworthy that fox IMO, but it also doesn't cave out any of the meaning behind what is said, merely "there is a controversy, next topic", while fox might spend several hours through various talk shows organizing opinion around said issue.

    WHY WON'T THE PRESIDENT GO ON THE RUSS LIMBAUGH SHOW, AND FOR SEVERAL HOURS, DICUSS HIS AGENDA FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. AFTER ALL HE WAS INVITED AT NO COST TO THE TAXPAYERS, TO DO SO. RUSS WOULD ASK THE QUESTIONS AND THE PRESIDENT WOULD HAVE TO ANSWER, EXCEPT QUESTIONS, DEALING WITH CLASSIFIED MATERIALS. WHAT HAPPEN TO HIS OPEN GOVERNMENT ?

    The operative word in America has always been "choice." As long as we can choose among information/news sources, our country and its people will remain FREE. When anyone (president, legislature, court, gang or mob) exerts authority to limit or remove that power to choose by removing or restricting any source of information, we all lose. Eventually we will lose both our "choice" and our freedom.

    Cosmically Better to keep the US Constitution than keep the ObamaNationalists...man, these demoDogs and Leecehes are truly bad for BUSINESS. Frack Mao and Obama. Death to Welfare and Jihad.

  • father_moray - 16 years ago

    America is a Republic...not a democracy. It is protected by the Constitution which spells out powers for fed , state and citizen. Fed powers are listed. Nothing the democrats, surrendacrats, abortaCrats, and IslamoCrats are doing is Constitutional, therein all they do will be undone ASAP.

    Obama and Pelosi are bankrupting America for a FOREIGN GLOBAL COALITION OF ISLAMOFASCISTS, DRUG, MAOIST UNIONS, ISLAMOFASCIST AND SOROSIAN PIGS...EATING UP OUR SEED CORN...AND OUR ABILITY TO FINANACE ANYTHING. THEIR UNPRODUCTIVE VOTER BASE NEEDS "LETTING OUT"...THEN SEAL THE BORDERS. GIVE MEXICO THE OBAMANATIONALISTS...LET THEM MAO MEXICO TO DEATH. THROW THE LEECHES OUT! Arrest and impeach the demoTraitors who voted for all this Maoist insanity. THis is America...Maoists must LEAVE NOW.

  • father_moray - 16 years ago

    It is now obvious that the Whitehouse protects the the Sorosian / Marxist Coup now destroying America. Democrats have vetted an agent of an anti-American Coalition...a coalition of parasites and leeches. The UN lurks bidding it's time. Waiting for Rahm to slam our economy into the wall...no more time for terrorists...they must leave...they won't...and they even have the power of the US Govt to protect them while they kill the Constitution, our economy, and our futures...you didn't show up at Valley Forge...you let them in...they are eating the seed corn...what will you do about it?
    Everything they do is unconstitutional. It therein must fall. Vote on Tuesday and vote for FREEDOM. Support a conservative candidate. Save the Constitutution and your family's future...developing

    I am appalled at what I am seeing in American politics. It is the responsiblity of news media to report the facts, to ask questions -- even if they are questions the White House does not like! We've all heard the endless rhetoric about "change," "We can do it!" Did anyone ask -- what change? How will these changes affect me?

    Surprise, America -- not all change is good. The White House trying to clamp down on the way an particular network reports the news is called "censorship." Plan and simple. Most Americans seem to know more about the president's dog than they know about healthcare "reform" and how this will affect their pocketbooks. We have yet to receive a straightforward answer on where these funds will come from -- who will pay for universal healthcare?

    Well, surprise again -- it's you and me -- hardworking, taxed to death middle class America. My children are not minorities, they have jobs. They will not be given any "free ride' to a college of their choice. Is this now really the 'new' American way?

    What has happened to FREE SPEECH? A fundamental right of every American? It's only free speech if you happen to agree with Mr. Obama's viewpoints, if you do not object to further taxation without representation.

    Those who disagreed with Mr. Obama's "reforms" were openly and very publicly referred to as "astroturf" by Nancy Pelosi.

    I have heard NO APOLOGIES from Ms. Pelosi regarding her poor choise of words, her name-calling, her blatant INTOLERANCE for those who did not and do not share her veiws, and her inability to look at other veiwpoints objectively. We are not -- as yet -- a ONE PARTY system. People stil have the right to dissent, to hear the "real news," and not JUST the 'politically correct" White House sanitized version.

    I am reminded very much these days of George Orwell's book, "1984." We're there -- it just took us a bit longer -- we just didn't arrive until 2009.

    People are all too eager to spout political jargon about change -- without having the slightest idea of what President Obama's proposed changes will mean for our country, and our disappearing middle class.

    We have spent millions of dollars on bailouts of our banks, our large corporations, our corrupt CEOs -- while the rest of us have seen our taxes go up, our freedoms being chipped away, our basic rights of free speech and access to the REAL news being slowly eroded.

    We were promised that our troops would be pulling out of Iraq, but now Congress is asking for 80,000 more troops in Afghanistan. Mr. Obamas' campaign was built solely on political rhetoric, and based upon promises that Mr. Obama could not possibly deliver. I have yet to hear who will PAY for this proposed healhcare reform. Meanwhile, our most needed social programs -- for the disabled, funds meant to help the poorest of the poor with the most basic of social services -- are being cut mercilessly. Yet THIS fact is not often covered in the news.

    I, too, received unsolicited emails from Mr. David Axelrod of the White House. At no time did I ask to be included on Mr. Axelrod's mailing list. I feel this is a true invasion of my privacy. (the sending of these unsolicited emails were denied, by the way, by the White House.)

    I miss the Amercia I grew up in. It was not perfect, but I felt my freedoms were protected. Patriotism was alive and well. Love of country was alive and well. Freedom of speech was protected. i recited th Pledge of Allegiance every day and MEANT it -- in public school, no less. Can I be assured of this same protection today?

    History has shown us that communism does not work. Socialism does not work. Democracy, TRUE democracy does work, and it is upon those principles that our country was built.

    Thank you.

  • mr. cb. - 16 years ago

    i can remeber a time when the goverment was looking into people who were of the communist party and their actions, some of which was a very missdirected effort to stem subversive activity by communists. now in this situation we have a direct act to censor the media by people we have allowed to become a part of our goverment and yet i have yet to hear the outcry from anyone that these people are communist in anyway. personally i think that we need another agency empowered to investigate the goverment for communist ties and to prosecute any member of goverment who attempts to subvert our system by acts that could be considered as a subversive attempt to undermine the foundation on which this country was founded. but seeing as after it was disscovered that obama may not actually be a natural born citizen or even eligable to be president to grant him the kind of power that he has allready shown he intends to use in a subversive way the rest is not really supriseing to me. i call it like i see them and i am old enough to remember the threat that they would take us without fireing a shot made many years ago and i am not afraid to say that what i am seeing here is a act of communissum plain and simple. and that obama and anyone associated with him are in my mind no dought communists not because of my own opinion but simply by their actions allone. hey if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, well you know chances are its a duck. i understand that people are looking for leadership in desperate times but obama was the worst choice that anyone could have made its people who think like he does that have put us in the situation were in and some seem to forget that our enemys have not gone away but simply changed their plan of attack!. good day!.

    FOX SUCKS ! There articles and their authors have no idea what the difference is between opinion and facts.

    According to the company that gathers what viewers are watching, FOX gets less than 2% viewership. That is a FACT and that is telling on what the American people believe. NOT some poll that allows for one person to votes as many times as they want.

    The fact that 80% side with FOX is an indication why this country is so far behind all the other countries with regard to education AND that conservatives have too much time on their hands to sit around voting hundreds of time each hour.

  • Ken - 16 years ago

    To the comment that conservatives fearmongerd Americans to believe that Saddam Hussein had something to do with the 911 attack: As I remember it, the connection of 911 to Saddaam Hussein was that he was stiffing the UN on WMD's after using them and being a threat that his WMD program would be shared with the terrorist organizations that pulled off 911, as suspected by the trips of terrorist leaders to visit Hussein. Please inform me with the details of America's citing Iraq as principals in the 911 attack. Thanks.

  • Bob Z - 16 years ago

    The poll results, so far, speak volumes about what we want as Americans. A free press is a vital part of our nation and the values we support. Be it NPR or Fox News, or whomever, the government has no place in trying to silence any of them. The fact that they are trying to silence Fox News, tells you everything you need to know about the current administration. I love my country but I fear my government.

  • Judy - 16 years ago

    Where do we vote to stop our tax dollars going to NPR and take it off the airwaves?

  • al not gore - 16 years ago

    Finally a place to voice my concern for our country. I'm a Viet Nam combat vet so I certainly have earned the right, more than I can say about most mouthy libs who know little to nothing of which they speak. Libs run almost totally on emotion with little regard to the facts, even when presented, it means little.

    A relative of mine is a flaming lib and she would vote for a chimp if he was in the dem party, the trouble of that is the current admin is more akin to what I know of as communism than of old time dems. I invite her often to point out where Rush, Hannity, Beck, or any of the conservatives have lied,,just give me one instance...she cannot, because they are very careful to have their facts correct because they know they will be scrutinized by every lib in the US.

    The fact is, we've moved closer to communism in the past few months than Hitler could have ever moved his brown shirts. I never dreamed I would see the day when a politician could fire a private individual or take over companies at will, that is only heard of in the former communist countries. Even now, they seek to know how to be free while we seemingly want to follow this idiot blindly while he leads us down the path of no return from socialism or communism.

    I have traveled to many former communist countries, and to countries with "free" health care. I can tell you first hand you don't want either. The countries where the health care is free, you get what you pay for ...nothing essentially. In the former communist countries at least where the health care is "free" you can get some measure of health care if you save enough cash under the matteress to bribe your way into the hospital and pay the Dr. under the table. Yes, free markets do work in dictator countries,,,they just call it the black market, but if you have the cash, anything is possible. Now, how would you like to live in that kind of enviornment? It's exactly where we are headed.

    People, wake up...our freedoms are being usurped each day. Obama and his band of commies are dismanteling our country bit by bit, law by law, freedom by freedom. Fact is, this may be read and I could be in big trouble, but when I consider what our founding fathers endured, it would never stack up to their hardships.

    This health care thing is not at all about health care. It's about government grabbing more control, more of our freedoms erroded, more about people pulling on the "free" tit. Nothing is free,,,nothing! Someone pays, and since I've always been a worker I'm pretty tired of paying for lazy no count dems who have the same vote power I do. Perhaps if voting could only be by employed people or people who have earned a living and retired, I bet thing would be a lot different.

    Income taxes are but one of the taxes we pay. If most of the public knew of all the hidden taxes we pay on all levels they would be astounded. I've worked my life as an accountant and I continue to find dirty little taxes after years and years of thinking, how many more can there be? Of course, hidden taxes are not always a bad thing, it's how come Great Britian has $8.00 a gallon gas,,,to collect taxes from people who would not pay otherwise,,,like the welfare cases, illegals, criminals, tax cheats, etc.

    There's no need of me going on and on...dems have no other good argument for being dems than that their parents were....not one have an original argument simply parrot the party line. Like zombies, they line up, parrot the party line and vote to take someone elses money! I'm pretty tired of them having their hand in my pocket.

    If you love our country please try and see the wisdom of voting these idiots out. As far as fox is concerned, yea they are a little slanted, but they have never done a Rather thing that I know of, remeber the time he cut George Sr. off when Geo would not agree with him? Now that's what I would call, bias!
    Also, they never have falsified records as the Dan did with Geo No2

    I think the W H is running scared. Once the american people that voted for the Hopey Changy thing pull their heads out of their donkeys, they too will figure out that this Sadministration is out for themselves, not the american people. I wish the other news channels would do their jobs, represent the media like it should be, instead of kissing whitehouse ass. Fox News is asking the right questions, but the sad part is, this Sadministration doesn't have or know the answers. This Sadministration needs to resign and let those who know how to really help our country move forward.
    These so called public servants are lining their own pockets while picking ours.

    Please take note that all "newspersons" have deviated from the "middle-of-the-road" reporting to adding a color to their reports. Red to the left - Blue to the right!

    The majority of their reporting is of the color "red" and smells!

    This is all of the news!

  • Jackie - 16 years ago

    It's scary that this administration tries to squarsh anyone or anything that disagrees with it. I can't believe so many people are falling for their deceit.

  • Bill Schregardus - 16 years ago

    Fox News is no more biased than the other major News outlets. THey just happen to cater to a different crowd than MSNBC, CNN, NBC, etc. PBS, by its purported nature, should be un-biased, but that doesn't seem to be the way the cards have fallen.

    Unfortunately, the line between "journalism" and "editorializing" has all but disappeared. THe only page in any newpaper that I can expect to be free from the opinions o fthe writerd & editors, is the stock prices.

    The White House is attempting to control the media that is unfavorable to the present administration. Once again we are seeing the attempts at destroying the constitution by this regime that wants to control the American Public by force.

  • E. (Jodi) Evans - 16 years ago

    Fox News is the best. I hardly watch NBC, CBS, or ABC, especially for news. I try my best not to buy from their sponsors, either. If they don't give the truth, then their sponsors aren't for the truth; and I don't want their products. Disgust is what I feel for the main stream media! I'm disgusted with both parties, too; but I do intend to vote. However, I am tired of voting for the lesser of two evils. Senators and Representatives, the citizens of the United States are watching. You haven't listened to us in years (decades). You should be ashamed. You certainly didn't represent us when you signed the stimulus bill without reading it and sneaking things in it so you could say the health care bill won't include them. Presidents can't do much of anything without your approval. So if things are wrong, mostly you are all to blame. Keep going Fox, we're watching!

  • J Guerrero - 16 years ago

    Thin skinned? I don't think so... I think that those surrounding Obama are doing their best to insulate Obama from the opposition. I would bet that Obama is not getting the whole truth about the his opposition. And those lieing to him are attacking the dissenters in an effort to quiet them or disgrace them. Look at the attack on Joe the Plumber..vicious attacks on Sarah Palin's family (not to mention on her). I think Obama is a coward....and his staff is hiding it.

  • Orrie - 16 years ago

    The WhiteHouse can't handle the questions from Fox because if they do they will be force to lie and transparency will find itself in the toilet. This is why they refuse to call Glen Beck to refute everything Glen has claimed about their cabal of czars and the ideologies they are promoting to bring about Marxism and Communism into government. Why else would they go after Fox? Just can't handle the TRUTH!

    Well. . .if you are fair and balanced as FOX is. . .maybe the WH should open their eyes and also be fair and balanced.. .truthful. .and keep to the promises made when he gave his Inaguration speech... I promise bipartisian. .have we seen that yet. . Pelosi and her crew behind closed doors working on screwing Americans out of choice for health insurance. . He said no more pork. . well the stimulus was full of it. . .more pork given to the senators who refused to sign it. . .what a sweet deal. .at the taxpayers expense. We will be transparent so says O. . .haven't seen that either. .and than the Photo Op at Dover. .what a disgrace. . .these are private momemnts for family. . not for camera's. . .this white house is on campaign mode. . no care for Americans. . their families..their jobs.. .At least I can sincerely depend on FOX for the truth and sometimes I will watch CNN...YIKES. .when are they going to wake up. . .they won't. . .and how childish to do this to FOX. . .we still do have freedoms Mr. Prez.. .unless you plan on stripping us of speech. . religion. .opinion...etc. .and that is the road of this administration. .Total control over every American's life. from birth till death. .and of course they will decide when you die. .their dealth panels. . .

    Trying to force us into a health care plan that the American people DONT want, If they were, and i said IF they were for the people then they would fix what is in place now. The goverment will be the only one that benifit along with their buddies. NOT the people. and FOX educate the people that no one else wants us to know, Thanks FOX.

  • Ralph VanNess, Jr. - 16 years ago

    I appreciate that Fox News is willing to stand and tell the truth. I watch Fox on a regular basis because they are "fair and balanced." I use to watch other "news" organizations and became so tired of the left slant that they promote. It has been great over the past eight years to be able to watch a News Channel that will tell it like it is.

    I believe that it is about time that our elected officials start representing us, the ones who vote for their offices, instead of representing their own desires. We as a people deserve better from our elected officials. They work for us, not the other way around. Mr. Obama should be more concerned with listening to the will of the people, not the will of his cohorts.

    We should remember that when it comes to next election. Wake up America!

  • bfriendly - 16 years ago

    Tracy,

    The WH is trying to control ALL media, the way Chavez(all other dictators too) did. With freedom(True type) of the press, the White House cannot turn the US into any type of Socialized, marxist, Communist country, because We The People will not allow it. Now if we do not KNOW what is going on, how can we stop it? They say the are NOT a ligitimate News Source? They are the ONLY New Source that is NOT in bed with the WH...........FOX is the ONLY Television New Source, that talks about real issues, that really matter. It is the ONLY one that REGULARLY lets BOTH SIDES in. MANY of the interviews are left without a Winning end, but rather two (2) sides and YOU get to decide.
    Better tune in..........just give it a week..........you just might be PISSED you have been away for so long!!

  • RRB - 16 years ago

    It doesnt suprise me, that the White house wants to hide facts from us Americans, Fox is just doing its job, if the whitehouse did theirs like fox, then we wouldnt have these issues, that they want to hide from the American people. FACT...

    Can anyone tell me where you heard that the White House wants to shut Fox News down? The only thing I've heard about this, is that the White House has made claims that Fox News isn't a legitimate News Organization, and that they aren't interested in doing interviews with them. I think the Bush Administration actually banned several reporters from doing interviews with any Bush Administration employee's during his second term. Can someone please tell me what the difference is?

  • James Norton - 16 years ago

    This whole issue of the White House trying to block Fox News from doing an interview or attending a news function should scare us all to death. It is a direct challenge to our freedom of speech, to our constitution which guarentees us that right, and to our founding fathers and the principles they held so dear. I have fought along side many others who are no longer with us, to protect this sacred right. This administration would love to control the press and they have even stated that on several occasions! BEWARE my fellow Americans - Cuba, Russia (Soviet Union), China, and so many other socialist/communist nations do exactly that! They control what the population sees and hears. Is there room for improvement of our press - very much so!!!! But that improvement must come from us...the people, not the White House!!!

  • Jerry Pomeroy - 16 years ago

    President Obama's outragious attack on Fox News is nothing less than an attack on the First Amendment. Freedom of the press is a prerequisite to individual liberty. All Americans, regardless of political affiliation, should denounce the President's scurrilous onslaught on an American distinctive.

  • Jean - 16 years ago

    The Bill of Rights gives us freedom of speech. How on earth did we get an Executive Branch in the White House of the United States who is trying very hard to eliminate that? I can only imagine how many of us are on the White House's "hit list".

  • Wanda - 16 years ago

    Remember when ABC, CBS, and NBC used to do political investigative journalism? That was a LONG time ago. I miss it and am thankful for Fox News.

  • Todd - 16 years ago

    Sue:
    That's ha, ha, funny.
    The answer is no. I'm just somebody that thinks it's halarious that some people take something as trivial as this NPR poll, that isn't going to make any difference in the world to anything, yet they want to turn it into a huge news story. I wouldn't be surprised if Fixed News isn't already reporting on the "Latest Poll" numbers show that a majority of Americans oppose the White House's position against Fox "News". One can only imagine the field day they'll have that the poll was conducted by NPR.
    Remember one thing, the informaton I gave on how to vote multiple times was given to me by a Republican friend of mine, and was intended to show his fellow Republicans how to vote multiple times, not me, or liberals like me.
    This will be my last post. I forgot what arguing with a wall was like...thanks for the reminder.

    In a country where I have the "right" to burn our national flag, but not to wear a t-shirt to school with a cross on it, it's refreshing to see that there are people out there with some sense. (The vote is 79% to Fox News at the time of this post)

  • bfriendly - 16 years ago

    FOr those who want to Call Fox A tabloid and put them along side of Jerry SPringer........why do all of these Congressman, senators, government and military officials(Not the WH admin Nor their Czars of course), appear on the Channel. e.g. Hillary doing the interview with Greta........are you saying Greta is a Tabloid Journalist? Quit drinking the Kool-aid! Maybe those shrills that come up your leg when Obama speaks will go away.......
    If you really watched FOX, you would see even Barney Frank get a word in! Now as much as I cannot stand him(BF), I have to respect him for having the cajonas to show up and telling HIS SIDE.......there are ALOT of Leftist and Liberals, that show up and look like fools, I mean give their opinions. They are given the opportunity to speak THEIR VIEWS.
    Obama and the WH Admin has the opportunity too...........they dont show up because FOX will ask tough questions. Fox does not care what the Dog's name is, nor do they care what Obama's Picks for the final 4, world series, SUperbowl etc is! NEITHER DO I!!!
    OBAMA is a flat out LIAR!! What happened to transparency, 5 DAYS TO READ ANY BILL before it is voted on, what happened to NO PORK Stimulous? I think there were roughly 387 PORK projects in there?
    BTW- I never got my stimulous check either..........prolly went to some prisoner on Death row!!

    Tracy:
    You stated:
    "This poll is a joke!
    The Rebublicans have way too much time on their hands. We have them to thank after all for the Tea Baggers, the Birthers, and the insane town hall screamers.
    Our country is being destroyed by conservatives. "

    To you I say:
    This country is being destroyed by liberals.
    They have somehow inserted into our constitution that everyone has the right to not be offended and that everyone DESERVES to have what his neighbor has earned. It used to be that you had the same opportunity to have what your neighbor has.
    They have changed our right of freedom of religion to freedom FROM religion.
    They are succeeding in suppressing our freedom of speech (while you delight in burning our flag to express your's).
    They have bankrupted our country and made our dollar worthless.
    They are taking away your privilage of independant health care.
    They are undermining our military.
    They have voted for a president who wants to take more money from the working class to give to the deadbeats and corporate-democrat-supporters.
    The majority of them are not tax payers, they are welfare recipients who have 6 children by 6 baby-daddies and expect us to provide for them.
    Grow up. Get a job. Give your hard-earned money to some idiot who's milking the system.

  • Sue - 16 years ago

    Todd, you are so well informed on voter fraud; are you an Acorn organizer?

  • Nancy - 16 years ago

    What ever happened to freedom of speech? Our country was founded on this value and it is what makes our country strong. How American is it that the current administration fears a news organization for practicing their rights as Americans. Let's stand up for what this country was founded on...diversity and being able to have a say for what we all believe in. Even if it isn't what you or I agree on. BTW--I am a supporter of FOX news.

  • pplr - 16 years ago

    Calm down a bit folks. As for the results of this poll, it may not have been come with the claim of being scientific but I it was referred to me from some how found it in one of the more right-wing places online. Not that people of many affiliations don't listen to NPR, but I wonder if folks on one side are trying to skew things by rallying a bunch of people to vote who otherwise wouldn't (and don't follow NPR at all).

  • Todd - 16 years ago

    Hey KatyG-AZ,
    You poor ignorant moron. I don't believe you've only voted once. I think you're just mad because you just found out that liberals can cheat almost as well as conservatives.
    Just to prove the poll is a total waste of time, I'm going to show you and everyone else how to vote as many times as you like.

    First go to:

    http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2009/10/in_white_house_vs_fox_news_war.html

    Then Select: "Support White House's view that Fox is totally biased and completely untrustworthy as a news source"

    Then click: "Vote"

    After reviewing results Click the little arrow that points left located in the top left hand corner of your computer screen and wallah you can now vote to support the White House.

    If you and a couple of hundred of your fellow 'Dito Heads' will follow these instructions to the tee like so many of you do with Fixed News maybe the results of the poll will reverse.

  • Sandy Thompson - 16 years ago

    People should open their eyes and ears for once. Fox news, re Hannity,O'Reilly and Greta are the only reporters that told the truth beofre this last election. All on Fox. If people had only voted with their brain and not with their being wooed we wouln't be in the mess we are in now and the bigger mess we are going to make our children, grand children and probably great grand children pay for the rest of their lifes.

Let them have at it...It makes it easier for me to identify the nutjobs who really think this Republic was set up as a complete and real Democracy to satisfy everyone individually...LET THE GAMES CONTINUE..

    you fox news freaks prove the point that fox viewers are themost uninformed. You obviously don't listen to NPR but found your way here via the wingnut website newsbusters.....(not too slanted huh?). Well if you can read......read this you teabagger whiny losers....HaHa

    I'm going to scream if one more person slithers in here and says you can vote multiple times (one person said they voted 50 times) I purposely tried and IT ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT ALLOW ANOTHER VOTE FROM ME. I guess you could go to 49 other computers to try your NASTY act, but then you truly would be an incredibly dishonest, cheating RAT!!!!!!!

    Response to Vince Ruh - In Hell!

  • Tracy - 16 years ago

    I agree with Todd. This poll is a joke!
    He's also correct that the Rebublicans have way too much time on their hands. We have them to thank after all for the Tea Baggers, the Birthers, and the insane town hall screamers. Man the Republicans just keep showeing us what a bunch of cry baby losers they really are. The conervatives lost the Presidential election. It's over! They need to suck it up. They need to do like we liberals had to do for eight years while the Bush Administration raped and pillaged our country along with Irag, all in the name of greed.
    Our country is being destroyed by conservatives. That attack started with the Patriot Act. They must have forgotten back when reporters were actually fired because they dissagreed with the Bush administration. Today we have idiots like Rush Limbaugh, and Shaun Hannity, etc, preaching their win at all cost ideology to 'Dito Heads' that can't think on their own.

    How did we ever get to this place that we have to vote to keep our rights? I have never in my lifetime seen anything like this. I've always felt free & proud of American life. Why are we having to fight our own government to keep that freedom?

  • Todd - 16 years ago

    This poll is total crap! I myself have voted over 50 times. I was sent an email the other day regarding this poll from a Republican friend of mine (I don't have many). I think he sent it to me by mistake, because the intent of the email was to encourage as many Fox "News" fans as possbile to vote as many times as possible against the White House to embarrass Obama, and force him to have to apologize to Fox for accusing them of not being a legitimate news organization. I voted more than once to support the White House's view in an attempt to cancel out a at least the number times my Republican friend voted. However, with the current tally it's obvious that conservatives have a lot more time to waste than us liberals do.

    Has anyone stopped to realize that, in the history of this great nation, there has been an ongoing dissention between the WH and News broadcasters. This WH is the most blatant of any WH in history. This WH wants to use the media to promote their specific agenda and nothing less will be tolerated.

    This WH is the first to have a hollywood-like following from the time of the election campaign to present by the majority of the media. The majority of the media are simply repeating the message of the WH. Fox News has taken the position of reporting on the issues in a format that allows the people to make a decision based on the available information, not simply the rhetoric.

    To-date, we had previously elected a hollywood actor to be President. Yet currently there is more of a Hollywood following with this WH, not to mention the drama, than in any previous WH.

    The direction this WH is taking is alarmingly wrong for America. It is apparent that our freedom is under attack from within the WH. The issue of freedom of speech is just the tip of the iceberg.

    I, for one, am greatly concerned for the future of this great country if this WH continues to push it current agenda on the various issues before us. I applaud the staff and employees of Fox News for standing on their principles and reporting in a manner that allows one to decide for themselves, should they want such a responsibility.

    The more an administration is questioned, the more we preserve our rights under the constitution. Free speech and a free press are basic to our country. Any administration that attacks citizens and news organizations must have something to hide. The tea parties and the 9/12 in Washington, DC, are two examples of Americans speaking out. All politicians need to listen. If it weren't for FOX news, we wouldn't know that a majority of Americans DO NOT SUPPORT all the Czars, Michelle O's inflated staff, the attacks on our Constitution, the censorship of the internet, the rampant spending, and the influence of Mao on the administration. The bottom line is free speech by ALL.

  • bob - 16 years ago

    Wow Al !
    Were you in charge of the Florida 2000 election vote recount ?

    Free Speech guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution won and your Jackboots lost.

  • Al - 16 years ago

    Be aware that one very active republican site has a script (they call it a bot) that can skew polls. They have even bragged about this script (voting bot).

    Some polls will return you to the results if you refresh, this one doesn't. You can vote again and again. So be wary of any online poll that returns results not in line with more traditional polls.

    I came by way of a link, voted twice to see if it would accept a second vote. It did.

    Google "voting bot."

    I am sad that America (me included) has been so thoughtless as to let these carpet-bagging Socialists into the White House. Never have we had so corrupt a Govenment as we have now. Excusing the Obama's as if they did not know who they were bringing in with them is indeed like saying Nixon wasn't guilty because he himself was never at the Watergate Hotel. Any one who believes the lies they are saying lately, such as he doesn't know much about Acorn, is just a stupid as they think you are.

  • Scott - 16 years ago

    Fox News is the NPR of the right. Why bother with stupid "polls" like this? All you are doing is showing your support for the federal government's desire to split the American people into two parties. As Sun Tzu said, a divided enemy is a defeated one. As long as we remain divided country, the government will continue to rape us financially and steal from us the very freedoms that made this country the once great country it was. We are now a hyphenated population of self-centered assholes who care about nothing more than our next latte and the next hand-out from our master, the federal government. Welcome to the new America, slaves!

  • Tim Smith - 16 years ago

    Fox (Fixed News) is a cesspool of ignorance, and I can always tell who the people are who watch Fox because their details are always mixed up and slanted.

    NONE who watch Fox have been able to tell me what a neoconservative is or what PNAC stands for - ROFL.

    Everybody knows "the truth" has a liberal bias as Steven Colbert said.

    Have fun Fox viewers - ignorance is bliss! - ROFL.

  • Merle - 16 years ago

    Bobby Vee, you are a definitely a typical liberal. You should have checked to see if anyone can vote more that once (they can't) before posting your false statement. It would have taken at least a second to check.

  • Be-Happy - 16 years ago

    Re: Comments by Bobby Vee (twice stating, the "poll allows people to vote as many times as they wish" and that "Fox News employees are voting many times") See 2009-11-01 12:54:41 ET and 2009-11-01 14:06:58 ET

    One of Vee's Statements: "The poll allows you to vote as many times as you please. I am sure all FOX employees are sitting by their computers and casting as many votes as possible in their own favor.

    This is a diservice to journalism. The polling program is defective. NPR should be ashamed."
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    His statements are ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. The polling mechanism allows only ONE vote. Try it yourself, Bobby. Whenever I hit the "refresh" button to see the changing poll numbers, the message at the top of the screen shows: "Thank you, we have already counted your vote."
    I wonder how many of the critics here actually watch Fox's "fair and balanced" news reporting, or do they blindly listen to libs who lie about Fox News. Furthermore, there is a difference between news reporting (which is the majority of Fox's programming) and commentating (i.e., Hannity, Beck, etc.) All news outlets offer both mediums. The listener has to be smart enough to discern between news reporting and opinion programming (such as the editorial pages of newspapers and magazines).
  • Cache - 16 years ago
    I'm aghast at the myopia, ignorance, stupidity of the anti fox, pro obama anti American lefties on this site and in this country. Whether it is Fox or pro nazi speech our Free speech covers any and all view points no matter how offensive. The idea that any american wants to censor or shut down free speech is an anathma to our way of life and rights. Obama who thinks he is an emperor is offensive and must be run out of office(for the bully he is) an relegated to the trash heap of history along with LBJ, Nixon, FDR, Pelosi, kerry, reid, Frank etc, etc, and all the other welfare slave merchants.
  • jim D. - 16 years ago
    Congratulations to NPR. I generally don't listen to NPR unless I have a need to know what the socialst among us are proposing or supporting. Even Juan Williams is starting to get the idea that we must all join in the fight to keep the "Obamanation" from flushing our way of life. Fox News is a Liberty saver and a definate window to the outright decitful practices of Obama and the "crud" that has slithered out of the political slime pit of Chicago, most of which was taken root in the white House as cabinet members and advisors.
    " May GOD bless America and help us win this battle of those who would destroy the greatest nation (under GOD) the world has ever knowen."
  • Maryo - 16 years ago
    If the White House has problems with the reporting on Fox News, then why don't they mention specific points and refute those points? Because they can't'; Fox is reporting real news while the other 'news' organizations continue to bouy up thier chosen one. Is there a problem with an avowed communist within the White House? Not according to the usual suspects. Is it bad news that the government continues to chip away at our freedoms? Not for uninformed 'newsmen' at the networks.
    If Fox was not reporting stories about the extreme views and intentions of White House insiders, then no one would know about them, and that is exactly what Obama and his minions are working toward.
    Stiffling free speech is just one of the steps necessary for totalitarian control.
    HISTORY 1932 THRU 1945 GERMANY
  • Joe - 16 years ago
    What most of the liberal "blame Bush" comments fail to forget is within months of his administration beginning, American soil was attacked and a large number of Americans were killed. What was done in response was no deviation from any historical precident-- the nation that housed the terorist groups that planned the attack and rogue dictator with oil revenue to invest thumbing its nose at UN "resolutions and sanctions" with a history of WMD usage and a record of publicly supporting and financing terrorists were attacked. The financial impact on the US economy between the cost of the war, the drop in the financial markets, the investment in security for airports and other potential targets, the loss in productivity from the delays-- these guys changed not only the US but the entire world.
    Obama's challange is the economy. THose of us who didnt vote for him but were willing to give him a chance have been mostly lost because of an administration and congressional philosophy of fiscal irresponsibility in "hard times". They (collectively) are not good stewards of our tax dollars, they continue to direct funds inefficiently to programs that results in creation of jobs that cost more tax dollars than the people will make-- then take credit for "job creation" and saving the economy. They ignore the call for energy independence pre-election, ignore technology we can bring on line now for "green" sources that may be years before a significant % of our needs are provided--making stability in the middle east in our national interest. Cap and trade? Pushing huge bills that make the word "trillion" even confusing to the media as they frequently misspeak the number for billion... Pushing these bills through without reading them with no time for public debate or a semblence of the "bipartisin" support from the campaign. All with the presidents chief of staff publicly stating that a crisis should never be wasted... COME ON!?
    As for FOX, lets just say when we went to war in Iraq all the media had the opportunity to embed reporters with the troups.. Imagine if the administration got to report their version only.. Imagine Vietnam had Johnson and Nixon had their staff report to Americans.. Now however a watchdog media is labled the voice of the Republican party? People still have the opportunity to vote with their feet (or in this case their remotes) and Fox's numbers SHOULD be an indicator to at least the moderate democrats before their constituents have the opportunity to vote in the ballot box. Independent media (not controled by a conglomerate or the govt) is essential. The stakes are too high now for us to just live our lives and go to work every day..
  • Chris R - 16 years ago
    80% to 20% on an NPR site poll? I think that tells what peolple are feeling about the WH / Obama admin...Thank God Fox News is out there. I get tired of watching all the other networks treat Obama like a rock star no matter what he does.
  • Steve - 16 years ago
    I think that FoxNews is fair,objective and straight to the point on the news that they report. Freedom of speech is definately important because our founding fathers molded our country on these values, and it is the collective people of the United states that base our countrys desicions on the ideas and needs of the people, for the people. Freedom to speak on what is going on in our country is very important. Obama said himself, "We need to have a transparency..." andI believe now that it is going on, its more than our government can handle. So i pose the question to our government, our President, our we allowed to speak in the face of So many issues, or are we suppose to Fall silent apon ideas of politicians not backed by the people. Fox Is reporting facts, as does all news agencies based on truth. So Who is more truthful, the people who report news or the governement Who does not wnagt us to know the imformation. I say let fox be heard!
  • Barbara - 16 years ago
    America, up until now, has always been a free country, which includedes freedom of speech. Why does the White House worry so much about this when there are so many other things going on in this world. If Obama would stay at his desk instead of trying to play, he might learn what is going on and quit worrying about what people think of him. Maybe he would get better ratings if he would listen to the people, his boss, and do his job. As with Congress and the Senate.
  • Jackson - 16 years ago
    This White House can't handle anyone that contests them. At what point has CBS, ABC, NBC, or NPR ever consistently aired oposition voices from the conservative viewpoint?
    Sign me a former Democrat.
  • Jay Keener - 16 years ago
    hmmmm
    Lets see. My opinion on the whole fox thing is. It seems The White House has a bad rap lately. The polls on the new administration wont go up unless theres another attack on the united states and the president needs to get his approval rateing up..... lol. in the past as we all seen there always seems to be something happen when need be. as for fox i think the white house needs to concentrate on saveing medicare and social security and stop cutting health care to people that worked for it and give it to lazy ass people. FOX IS FAIR AND BALANCED !!!!!!!!!! im sure all the bad raps to fox is idiots that voted for this health care crap. haha universal healthcare
  • Nancy - 16 years ago
    FOX pretty much tells it like it is. Look across the nation to the daily news papers and tell me they are not biased/slanted in one way or another. Some have taken on the "right" to support candidates in elections which really ticks me off. News media needs to state the "news"...just the facts. Some other news programs give such creative dialog of a news event...that the public doesn't alway know exactly what is being said. People in the news needs to speak straight forward without bias...which FOX does better than anyone else.
  • proamerican - 16 years ago
    Clearly fox news is censored.
    Why do you think no one from it will touch Mike Savage - no filter on his
    facts.
    Connect the dots ........with facts.
    And remember: you must use art and crayons to draw pics for liberals.
    duh.
    Arguing with idiots is just that. Libs are totally confused by facts.
  • Bobby Vee - 16 years ago
    It is unforgivable for an organization like NPR to use a polling program that allows persons to vote as many times as they please. If anyone thinks that the nearly 1 million votes cast thus far is legitimate, they are just the kind of audience that FOX news is looking for, gullible, easily misled. Thanks NPR and Mark Merrmont for the furtherance of poor journalistic standards.
  • chris - 16 years ago
    The major news sources are very manipulating in their rhetoric and language "ballet". I turned them off a long time ago. It saddens me to see intelligent, critical-minded people fall prey to the propaganda of mainstream news. I think it's inexcusabe for people to depend on the mainstream media for their source of world view. It's the dumbing down of America. We're in a perfect position for a totalitarian government to move in and we're seeing it happening now.
  • Bobby Vee - 16 years ago
    I too believe in Free Speech, but I find much of FOX's programming to be purely sensational and a form of jounalistic terrorism, akin to shouting "fire" in a theater. There are much better sources for real news.
  • JWB - 16 years ago
    Today, the White House is against Fox News. Tomorrow? Hear of "Net Nutrality" or "Fairness Doctrine"? The beauty of our inalienable right to free speech is that speech is free. The danger comes when anyone or any organization thinks they know what is "fair" or "neutral". Everyone has a bias and a filter. Free Speech should always remain that way. God Bless America!
  • Joseph - 16 years ago
    It is amazing to me how quickly people are willing to throw away basic freedoms in the name of a political party which the founders warned us against forming. Liberals use the word "fear" as the drop back position on any one who disagrees. Funny how they use it so well to herd the sheep. If you want socialism then move to Norway. ROCK ON FOX!!
  • Bobby Vee - 16 years ago
    The poll allows you to vote as many times as you please. I am sure all FOX employees are sitting by their computers and casting as many votes as possible in their own favor.
    This is a diservice to journalism. The polling program is defective. NPR should be ashamed.
  • GregW - 16 years ago
    I am very afraid. Any government that even hints at controling journalists is dangerous to freedom. Watch this government very closely, because your freedoms may be the next at risk, even more than now.
  • H - 16 years ago
    Wow. Censoring the press. I remember that from history class... Our current president frightens me, and the number of American citizens who support him frightens me more. We are watching history in the making. How many people will Obama appoint to posts which affect the governance of our country absent the electoral process? How long until his appointed officials outnumber our elected officials? How much money can one man spend before our economy, and that of the world, spirals downward? If you were in financial straits, would you aquire a few more credit cards and spend more? Or would you tighten up your belt? Everything about this administration is backward, but many people have bought into it. Why? IMO the American news media have dramatically shaped just what we will swallow, because anything can be counched in acceptable phrasing. We NEED dissident views to give us pause. We NEED someone to say, "hey, wait a minute..." We need affiliates like FOX news. We NEED to think, or we follow the Pied Piper.
